This went, entirely off topic like 6 times my guy. Suggest changes, state opinions that are relevant. Point of suggestions is to be underwritten, and, if reasonable. Be rewritten to meet a compromise. Like what Colt just did as a wonderful example. Whether Spy Jobs are fun or boring doesn’t matter to this suggestion, plus is an irrelevant opinion. Many others find Sleuth entirely enjoyable. Not to mention last I checked, you never joined R&D, or Sleuth as it is today. Point being, relax man. Seems like your more attacking then stating.

Text has no tone so lol no, you're getting the wrong impression maybe cause bias? But if you don't like my opinion you can just say that.. I thought discourse was ok for suggestions? Especially when its related too the whole suggestion itself? Also I can have an opinion of something without being apart of that thing? So that seems kinda irrelevant gamer.

Also " Whether Spy Jobs are fun or boring doesn’t matter to this suggestion plus is an irrelevant opinion." You're quite literally suggesting a spy job.. and isn't fun part of the game/server? So that seems pretty relevant too the discussion my dude. Also yes the fun of stuff is irrelevant mmhn yes or the opinion isn't relevant cause you disagree either way, wew lad.

I mean you can not like what I say but I think its perfectly reasonable for me too respond to something I was @'d in with my opinion on stuff. Since that's the reason these forums exist. But ye good memes.

Why is everyone freaking out about the HP? Are we gonna kill it 0_o, anyways I think a few cool work arounds to some of the issues could be made...

    In relation to @frog @Southpaw @Rektify @OWNED and @royalderg posts,
Something I thought that could be less op and not make the job itself the "spy" would be that sleuths them-self would need to track down and locate the "Cat" and be one who actually does the communication, they speak to the cat and the cat sends back what the Player has spoken, a way to make this less op could be simply just adding a timer in which the "Cat" can be used again, Now ill leave that down to what ya'll think that timer should be if it be 20-30 mins or Jesus even and Hour ha ha doesn't matter, because this work around solves the whole "New Maynard" situation as the cat itself is kinda just..... a cat unless a sleuth is onsite which then its Comms can be used.

Also having the Cat only use advert's would be more beneficial as it be easier to track for staff/foundation.

I kinda see this job being just a new fun job for players to play on while roaming around LCZ but one which has a unique ability when the situation best suits it.
Id like to hear what the lads who I tagged think of this work around?

The HP is an issue because yes, things can body block.. This is garry's mod and a quick way to fix that is too shoot them.. Either too GET them to move (cause they don't wanna die) or too kill them and LET you move..

If you have basically infinite hp you can stand in a doorway (knowingly or unknowingly) and NEVER get moved.

Unironically I think spy jobs are boring as shit and LRP 90% of the time, and CI quite literally already has 2.

1 that is FULLY disguised till they aren't

and another that is harder too get disguised but once disguised isn't hard too report things in

Safe class SCP's are also boring because they're safe.. The MAJORITY of SCP's on the SCP wiki are safe.. That's because they're (typically) easier too write. That's because no balancing/harder thought than "Put it in a box, Feed it basic food, etc." has to be made too contain it.

When people think of the SCP foundation they think of SCP's like 173,049,106,682,3008, etc. Notice how all of these are Euclid or Keter and when people play a GAME version of the SCP foundation.. I assume a majority want too rp on their favorite SCP's or even play them and giving an ACTUAL challenge (counter play) to an SCP makes it interesting. 173 has too be looked at, 049 has to be fear rp'd, 106 has to have a femur go cronch, What does 999 have to do too be contained? /me gives candy. Making another SCP that literally doesn't have (counter play) because its the PERFECT spy is absolutely boring and overdone for reasons above and a multitude that others will probably express.

Edit: My favorite SCP was a Safe class that got terminated sooooo ye.

Edit 2: This is an interesting SCP, (But in lore Chaos Insurgency is.. TERRIBLY underwritten and edgy, sadly. I mean their name is literally Chaos Insurgency. I personally find the CI vs SCP foundation stuff some of the worst writing just because the CI is just way too stereotypically evil and the SCP foundation isn't equally evil (enough))

9999999999 health, second Maynard that can report things back too CI.

Literally no counter perfect spy and another almost infinite health body blocking machine for people too get mad at.

IF this does get added Security K9's should be able too chase it around kek.

280 is stupidly powerful and the way too stop their breach is in EZ (A place that isn't very often visited and requires decently high access to get too)

They're easily the most annoying SCP that breaches (yes even 682 and 939 aren't that bad cause at least you can shoot those on purpose)

Also this is just another rule that players will get confused on and will lead to more admin sits etc.

Example: Lights get turned off (not broken), 280 breaches, Someone flicks the lights back on, 280 player gets butt hurt about no roll and makes an admin sit.

Wait, Sleuth doesn't have CI comms? They're... literally a spy for them, why wouldn't they be able to communicate.

+Support for Sleuth and/or CI comms

This is my guess (doing lore work for people)

Cause they're meant too be independent spies, Get in.. Cause Havoc, Get out. Sorta thing they don't exactly need to be in contact with CI and if they're potentially caught.. Having your comms get leaked cause one fucker with a sneaky suit accidentally opened a door and got fear rp'd would be funni.

(For game reasons though they should probably have CI comms this is just lore reasoning)

This is a really cool idea but HCZ is empty already 90% of the time and the facility is already MASSIVE as is. People get lost easily and making a whole new section that is capable of being entered from Surface, LCZ, HCZ, and EZ would make a lot of brains implode and make it way too easy to escape.

Quick Edit: Also no tesla gates, which are sort of a balancing thing.. and have killed many a MTF walking through them thinking they're off.

  8. - Support

The odds are already stacked against CI they don't need more things too worry about while going around in the facility.
You wanna get information on CI try to fear RP one.. (Good luck) but it happens occasionally.

  9. Neutral Support

Suggestion: Run metal or OBS, Record while you're in d block. If you have a proper amount of guards and are repeating fear rp through your mic and the d class is running away. Make a sit.

Conclusion: Don't make your OBS run too .mov cause that's better for editing and not just raw footage like I do

Also if people start doing this more.. People will stop breaking the rules cause they know they'll just get fucking bapped by someone with evidence.

I've used a radio like this before that worked decently. I feel like that radio was free however on the workshop. But having radios would be pretty good even if its not this radio specifically.

  11. 1. What is your in-game name?: Royalderg

    2. Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:155729124

    3. Current Rank in Security: SFTO/SM

    4. Time on the server: 1 week (Its probably getting towards the end of that 1 week though IE closer to 2 weeks)

    5. Current level: 55

    6. On a scale from 1 - 10, how active are you?: 8

    7. Do you have any active strikes on the roster?: Nope

    8. Which command members gave you permission to apply?: Warmercarp, Georgie

    9. Have you read the Juggernaut section of the SOP?: Yep

    10. Do you understand that if you abuse this job it WILL be taken away?: Yep

    10. Why do you think you deserve access to the  Security Juggernaut Job? (125+ WORDS):
I think I deserve Jug because I've been around late at night where it seems the normal jobs, IE: Riot Control, Sniper, K9, etc. Can't withstand the onslaught of CI and especially D class CC's. The addition of a tranquillizer would allow for containment of SCP's that usually just roll people over (682, 939) and since I understand the tranquilizer rules then we can keep those dangerous scp's out of LCZ. Riot containment is also a big deal and having heavy weapons (especially a shotgun) in the current meta is the peak of being able to counter those. We currently don't have that many active juggernaughts and I would switch unto the job or just passively be on the job when needed. Also I believe I've proved while using the normal Senior NCO loadout that I'm competent enough to be able to take down a decent amount of targets before I go down as well, and not to abuse the job since I'm such a high rank and have never had a strike (FTO or Normal).
    11. Which weapon in the Juggernaut load-out would you use to hit a D-Class in the middle of a crowd and how would you ensure to hit your mark?:
Before knowing about the weapons and just looking at them on the loadout I would say the Light Machine Gun but after seeing how HORRIBLY inaccurate it is. I would default to the pistol if I had to specifically shoot one D-Class

    Thanks for reading.

I don’t really see why it has a level 3. Even if it is a Thaumiel SCP in the sense that it helps, it’s still important that it stays contained if it helps. With a level 3 it can in theory just go to EZ or Surface, or even Breach SCPs. Im all for giving it level 2, or even better, no Keycard. That way it stays in EZ and is still “contained”

Tower is used by CI and MTF to counter raids or just generally skirmish. Removing it completely will just make the surface more boring especially for something like "D-Class Reward Mining". Which isn't even a reward cause late at night with like 40~ ish players you can get out like its nothing.

As stated in the suggestion format. Suggestions for civilian/surface jobs are usually denied as they aren't that needed. And now that mining has been implemented back into the game there should be rare ores/trees up there.

  15. The whole foundation is a CQC environment and GMOD is not known for its weapon play.. or stable framerate.. This is why shotguns dominant 99% of encounters

As for the suggestion itself.. It'd have to be looked at a little more.. I personally think pistols are in a good area right now as back up weapons and can be really strong if you hit all your shots.. (for example most pistols do more damage then AR's/SMG's which doesn't make sense in a realistic way but its a back up and has less shots/less accurate)

That being said one of my favorite games of all time BF1 (yeah I said it) focused melee + side arm play as actually viable vs main weapons and that was super cool.. and I loved that aspect of that game

Gmod is a constant struggle between finding what's the best.. and classes literally having every weapon for every situation.. and not being specialized (or restricted)... to specific things.. Like LOGICALLY you can't hide a sniper and a shotgun and an AR up your ass..but most Gmod servers let you do that..therefore you have no downsides to where you're engaging in.. and when 90% of the map is CQC then short ranged weapons dominate.

    Normal flashlights shouldn't count.

But if someone has a maglight it should count as it is a physical flashlight we have than a magical flashlight that appears out of nowhere.

In a facility where entities exist that break the laws of our reality. Exist despite against all laws of nature or otherwise. In a world where there are entities that if you even speak their name or think about them they can rip you from existence and erase the memory of you for all time.

Where researchers and guards are of the highest skill and in the highest risk environment in the world. Where the difference between going home another night and being rendered a pink mist is based on millisecond reactions. Where these personnel are given the HIGHEST level of gear available to make sure these entities stay, Secure, Contained, And Protected.

Flashlights on guns, cellphones, helmets, etc. are magical and appear out of nowhere.

Designate it Keter and let's go home.

I would love to have SCP 079. It would make things so interesting but, as many of our fellow SCP roleplayers have said, the potential for mingery is waaaaaay too risky.

All of those classes are limited only to those certain abilities. 343 isn't even allowed to go down to the D block mine, otherwise it's failrp. 079 would be able to have ALL of that which makes him OP. On top of that, in terms of levels, I do not think that would fix anything. I've seen many high leveled players begin to minge around heavily on a constant basis, some with an alarming number of warns. I would rather entrust this task to the Event Team and let them handle it instead.

People minge when they're high level cause they get bored with the server's content.. (Or they bought levels but that's probably more rare)..

    also good points

Giving players a omni, Basically godding them and noclipping them is basically asking for people to minge and Fly to Staff sits/ET rooms/Staff spawn, Should remain an ET thing due to the fact that legit you are asking for minge and ET already get a Omni, Can God, Noclip etc
