Lore Name: Dr.Crumpets
Rank: Junior Researcher
SCP: SCP-999
Question / Idea: Would exposure to SCP-999 cure psychological trauma which can be the reason for split-personalities?
Background Research: SCP-999 has exhibited signs of being a potential anti-depressant and has boosted the facilities morale ever since it was contained, whilst split-personalities emerge due to past-trauma that formed the personalities as a coping mechanism.
Hypothesis: SCP-999 would cure/alleviate the Dissociative Identity Disorder of the subject
Observations (What Happened During Test): The test subject D-Class was instantly happy when it came in contact with SCP-999, but "restarted" its attitude to 999 when it switched personalities, the cycle continued for 7 more personalities.
Evidence/Visual Stimuli: The D-Class which identified as "Visitorzzz" played with 999 and enjoyed its interaction, until the test subject stood still and seemingly forgot about the SCP-999 and started asking in a rude tone and referred to himself as "Abe", which was followed by more personalities ranging from a supposed australian to a navy captain.
Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): The test was a "failure" as it did not outright cured the mental issue of the test subject, it may be because of the age of the D-class and the personalities have already cemented into the subjects mind.
Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: Partially Correct.
