+1 Yes we do need detonators due to the fact that 31st are sometimes inactive. Without detonators we wouldn't be able to destroy: Drop pods,objectives and etc. Although for the HP and armour standard non senior agents are easy to kill making agents more vulnerable to enemy attacks.
