    Access Granted. Welcome ❚❚❚❚❚❚ ❚

    Playing audio file...

Doctor L: This is Doctor L, the date is January 26th 20❚❚. This test was done with the help of Jr Researcher Giovanni who was under my supervision, and Research Assistant Manager Slurmp. Casualty Report, One Class-D subject due to SCP-682. MTF presence with no issues.

    Audio Over, Beginning test log.

Doctor L: Another simple test, personally one I find the most efficient. As as far as we know SCP-096 and SCP-682 are slated for termination and with both being invincible this will go well.

T- 30 Seconds to face viewing

A mask is placed upon SCP-096 which will activate and cover its face when a loud noise is detected to have safe viewing of SCP-096.

    T-20 Seconds to face viewing.

Final precautionary measures are checked and systems are nominal.

    T-10 Seconds to face viewing.

SCP-096 is placed into SCP-682's CC.

Doctor L: Everyone face the wall and keep your eyes shut! Once it is screaming we are safe.

    T-0 Seconds to face viewing.

A Scream is heard and the mask functions as expected. SCP-682 has viewed 096's face.

Doctor L: Its safe, please observe the fine ability of these anomalies.

    T+10 seconds to face viewing.

SCP-096 charges SCP-682 and manages to remove 10% of the skin on its left front leg.

    T+15 Seconds from face viewing.

SCP-682 charges SCP-096 at high speed and manages to remove 50% of its skin, leaving a large amount of an unknown substance on the floor, presumably blood.

    T+20 seconds from viewing.

A loud crunch is heard, followed by silence. SCP-096's skeleton is motionless and dismembered on the floor.

    An image pops up.

    20200126155242_1.thumb.jpg.b29da6c51a4c93bfa6e35db87a692cf0.jpg

    End Log.

A ping is seen on the monitor of the screen.

    SCP-096

    2. Multiple solutions, A. We set the spawn in the cafeteria and make them run, or B (check link) we use a server wide respawn timer that really only affects D-Class. I've seen other servers use this for maps like this and it really helps mitigate the swarm.

This map would Kill CI and Medical

have HCZ so far way from the Entrance zone would let MTF slowly grind CI down.

and It would take MTF forever to find CI because of  the size of the surface+Distance between everything

The medbay is so far away from everything, we're having trouble getting people to go to medbay as it is now it's going to be a mile away

    now let's talk about D-black

Currently, the elevator acts as an NLR timer for D-class and keeps them from overwhelming Gensec too quickly without it

Gensec would have to call Full lockdown every 10 mins or so

I do want a map change but it has to be the right map

Being the CI COL I actually believe this would make our raids a lot more unique and make our NCOs and command members plan a ton more before they raid overall improving CI's rp experiences

  3. Does it display healthy amounts of detail and depth? To be honest I felt like I was reading an actual log!
Does the test show a decent amount of creativity involved in the test question and hypothesis? 131 is a rare SCP due to the fact it is a donator however I like how you tested it for affection.
How efficiently is contextual evidence utilized? Very well, combined with the curiosity it seems to behave as expected.
Was the test proof-read and checked for spelling errors? Grammatically correct.

Besides the fact this was in the wrong location, I feel this test was good, especially for a guy who just joined and only can test on Safe class SCP’s. I look forward to seeing what you can do!

There's very little room after the airlock for GENSEC to set anything up. if I remember correctly, the Hallways are extremely tight

Edit: There's also very little to stop them from coming back over and over, aka what the elevator does.

    1. See image at bottom. Each line is a possible "kos line" that GENSEC could guard depending on what you guys want. Also map has been updated to be able to have both airlock doors open at once.

    2. Multiple solutions, A. We set the spawn in the cafeteria and make them run, or B (check link) we use a server wide respawn timer that really only affects D-Class. I've seen other servers use this for maps like this and it really helps mitigate the swarm.

I’ll draw a diagram of what I’m thinking to convey the idea.

Edit: Looking at possible solutions because I also noticed this major issue.

Alright, I've been holding off on responding to this for the longest time because it is SUCH A DIVISIVE TOPIC IN MY HEAD. There are so many pro's to changing the map to this, and so many cons. However in this case I truly believe the cons outweigh the pro's. I'm not gonna go ahead and give you a whole list for the pro's and cons, but the biggest con in my head is D-block. D-block would be absolutely hell to keep contained. Our current D-block system would have to completely removed, and that's something I don't think is worth the risk. Usually, over 50% of the server population is in D-block its-self (Security and D-class) and if we screw up the flow of that, it could be detrimental to the server population and health in a whole.

Now don't get me wrong, the map its-self if super heckin' cool. In fact, I would say it's overall a better map. However, the D-block is completely changed and would be impossible for GENSEC to hold without making it impossible for the D-class to breach. So, with a heavy heart, I have to give this a -support.

I feel as if removing both the airlock doors and functions would be able to remove most the issue. How much do you think that would work?

    1. The map ambiance leads me to believe that this is a breach style map, which is obliviously not what we are. I know this can be turned off by using stopsound in the console, but to my understanding there is no way for the server to do this, which means that each individual person would have to type stopsound into their console when they load in.

This is infact an issue to some, personally I feel as if the map would feel more like an in-lore map with odd sounds and other things.

    6 minutes ago, bdogz1 said:

    2. Were we to switch to this map, it would require probably a weeks worth of work from the staff team to get decals, keypads, spawns, and other such stuff before the server could even be opened, which would be detrimental to the server as a whole because that is a weeks worth of new players completely lost.

Im not staff, or a coding master for that matter, but as far as I know we have a test server that could be used to setup the map without an issue. I dont know if this is a thing, but maybe a preset system is possible (probably not)? So the test server could be built and implemented into the current server.

    3. The fog on surface is annoying, making it so I can't see more than 20 feet in front of me would get annoying extremely fast. Though this is just me and this could probably be changed.

The fog is snow (I think) and surface would mostly be limited to the outpost area.

    4. I feel like the vents can be easily abused, and would require a constant guard force in order for CI to not use them.

Vents can be entered and exited through, I think the best idea for CI would be a cool-down and the Foundation wouldn't know about them.

    15 minutes ago, bdogz1 said:

    1. D-Block would be a complete disaster, It would be almost physically impossible for D-Class to gain enough people to overpower Gensec. I know you had mentioned that D-Class could do some RP to like take over the cafeteria or something, but the fact of the matter is that the only pseudo rp that D-Class do is because of an event where they get to kill something. 99% of the time, D-Class do not do a lot in terms of rp to begin with, much less to the degree of taking over a cafeteria and rping tool use.

Definitely the biggest issue with the map, however a solution that could be used is straight up removing the airlock doors to mimic our current way of D-Block at the moment.

    18 minutes ago, bdogz1 said:

    2. The map is by far way to big. For this map to work for us, we would need our lowest player count to be around 50-60, which is highly unlikely, at least right now.

Currently as I make this post (Monday 3:00) there are 70 people on the server which usually crescendos up until about 10:00. While server population at certain times may be an issue, when most people would even play this works (to me).

    3. I feel that having HCZ being the zone furthest from EZ is a bad choice, because that means it would take more time for MTF to get there to recontain any escaped SCPs. In addition, CI raids would be absolutely screwed over. Think about it, CI would have to go through EZ and LCZ just even get to HCZ, then grab whatever SCPs they want, go all the way back through the facility. While this in itself doesn't sound all that bad, keep in mind that CI would be fighting off MTF and any patrolling Gensec THIS ENTIRE TIME! For a successful raid to take place, either MTF and Gensec would have to be completely and utterly brain dead and miss every single one of their shots while standing completely still, or CI would have to have something like 30 or more players just to get to HCZ in the first place, let alone make it all the way back!

This would make sense by basic logic and architecture, the time for MTF to make it would be realistic and ability to work together to sweep. CI have vents that access HCZ and LCZ (Ill get to that).

    4. Any D-Class breaches would take years to quell, since the map is so large that you would have to scour something akin to the size of a small state to find everyone.

D-Class breaches should be less irritating with GENSEC to be able to use manpower to find them, and with one exit for D-Class it would be well guarded.

    Neutral/Informative
After testing this map, I have quite a few things to say.
I will start with some comments I have about it, and then I will continue with the pros and cons of the map, starting with cons as I believe they outweigh the pros somewhat.
I feel that this map is very nice, but it would possibly be detrimental to the server population. Many things would have to change, including core server ideologies that have made us so popular as we are today.

    Cons
    D Block:
D-Block is much different, making riots and other things purely impossible. It would be nearly impossible for Class D to escape outside of events or CI raids.
LCZ: I feel that LCZ is a bit too large for what we would do for the server, and the hallways are extremely cramped.
HCZ: HCZ is filled with many hallways and rooms that are generally unneeded, making it much bigger than needed. The overall layout of the area may be very confusing to some.
EZ: Entrance zone is located directly next to LCZ, which would definitely change how the server works. There is only one gate that can go in and out of the facility. The sounds that the map maker chose for the floor may become obnoxious over time.

Overall Cons: Most hallways are too tight. The map design is somewhat all over the place, and there are some unneeded areas. The map requires CSS and HL2, which many Garry's Mod users do not own, though for what reason I do not know.

    Pros
    The Surface:
I feel that the surface is a major improvement over Site-05's surface. There is much more space to include new RP purposes, and CI has a dedicated base. Site-65's surface has more opportunity than Site05's.
Map Lighting, textures, and originality: I feel that this map is a lot less of a lazy copy and paste of Site-05, and most of the lighting and ambient sounds are good. There are some annoying sounds, as mentioned in the cons section.
Something new: This map would definitely change how everything is done around the server, which could either bring new life to the server or kill it entirely.

These are just what I thought when testing the map. Feel free to leave your opinion after seeing this. I believe it would be extremely difficult to switch to this map successfully and still stay popular, as the current map we use may be bland, but it has kept us as the #1 SCP-RP server.

Believe it or not, there is a vent system for entry and exit so it’s not just one entry.

I don’t have hl2 on my PC and have only seen one missing texture about a literal pixel wide

Yes, as you said D-Block is very different but my idea is an RP breakout using tools and rolls, but if we wanted we could always just remove the doors on the airlock.

  9. Just now, Sir Cuizine said:

I completely agree. My only issue with Site 65 is the lighting, its too dark. Not a big issue, however, I'm sure I could learn to live with it and adapt to it.

The best counter is the highest brightness which looks better anyways with this map

  10. If it isn't broken, make it better.

What you want to see? - Site-65

Why should we add it? - Site 05 has been around for over a year now, it is an old outdated map. I know that I and many others want a new map change. In order to understand why this map is better we need to see what is important about this current map that will be crucial to change.

    Advantages of having this? -

    1.  D-Block. The current D-Block does not require thinking only running through to overwhelm GENSEC. While the new map can have D-Class improvise and use kitchen appliances in order to breach the airlock system and escape.
    2. Now as GENSEC only has a lock to guard, patrols would be a smart and interesting way to increase RP, with LCZ and HCZ being areas that are actually guarded. Not to mention a need for cooperation within D-Class to escape.
    3. Optimization. While this map is large, it is better optimized for a large server compared to Site 05, which is no longer being updated. Especially with a server hitting 128 constantly we have an opportunity to make a long term investment for helping our players with entertainment and actual RP.
    4. Features. This map has built in Alpha and Omega Warheads, which saves staff time whereas the slow process of waiting 90 seconds and slaying people, this is much more automated making surface and facility warheads that kill on detonation. It also has individual zone lockdowns where the whole site doesn't have to be locked down due to a D-Class breach. Vent systems for stealth and enhanced working for RP.
    5. Better Zone Connection. No longer will the most dangerous zone be forced to be next to the exit, with this map LCZ is the center zone and HCZ is the zone that is the furthest in. Consequently SCP's now have to move far for a goal as well as CI and MTF.
    6. SCP's. We now have many more opportunities for SCP's for example 087. More room for item SCP's, Custom SCP's, and Built in SCP's means more SCP's. This also means more research work and tests leading to more RP with D-Class as they are necessary for the server to run.
    7. The main problem in the past for a map change has been the work to change it, especially with key-cards and spawns. However now we are able to work with a separate keycard system with more of a simple approach. There are enough spots (and more) for our current branches which would also have more room. And spawns will only get more complicated with new branches and with a bigger map and opportunity, now is the time for action.

Who is it mainly for? - Everyone

    SCP: 008

Question / Idea: Is it possible to create a vaccine for SCP-008
Background Research: With a 100% infectivity rate SCP-008 has much potential due to dosage size.
Hypothesis: SCP-008 may be able to keep a hosts brain intact and be able to enhance ability or the immune system can possibly learn against 008 like a vaccine

Observations (What Happened During Test): After grabbing samples of SCP-008, Lead Researcher Potato and I made our way to the medical facility, meeting Dr. Nico and two surgeons. The Class-D (henceforth to be referred to as SCP-008-02) subject was injected with a decagram of SCP-008 (0.1 g). SCP-008-02 had a fever of 313* Kelvin, and had a fluctuating heartbeat with a high of 95 BPM and a low of 15. After the SCP-008-02 subject was moved to the surgery room, the heart was removed and its veins and arteries were connected with synthetic tubing. However the subject continued to be alive, yet it managed to be tired as after every surgery. To test the power of the potential vaccine 1 kilogram of SCP-008 was injected whereas the SCP-008-02 instance was considered a SCP-008-01 instance. It then followed normal symptoms as the body slowed down and managed to bite me. I used an SCP-500 pill that was on standby and am following up at the medbay tomorrow.
Evidence/Visual Stimuli: See attached image of subject on the operating table

Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): Interesting results, however the test must have a follow up to determine the effectiveness
    Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: Unconcluded

    SCP: 096

Question / Idea: Would 096 attack the mirror or itself if shown its own face?
    Background Research: Unknown

Hypothesis: It will attack the person holding the mirror

Observations (What Happened During Test): The D-Class showed 096 its face, oddly enough it decided to smash the mirror by knocking it out of the D-Class’s hand. The D-Class then touched SCP 096’s face and was [REDACTED] by SCP 096.
    Evidence/Visual Stimuli: N/A

Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): 096 seems to be saddened by its face and angered by those who see it.
Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: No, but it shows 096’s behavior.

Why should you be in Chaos Insurgency? (75 word minimum): I have experience with RP, and the Chaos Insurgency, I understand SCP lore and server rules for obvious reasons. Joining the server in 2018 I have plenty ability to navigate the map and use my abilities to their fullest. I have plenty experience as E11 Commander (about 5 months in fact) and overall ability to plan, execute and follow orders with a tactical mind and knowledge of SCP, with all these and many more to be discovered, I happen to make a prime candidate for CI.

  14. Have you ever heard the tragedy of Commander Polar the inactive?

I thought not, it’s not a story the O5 would tell you. It’s a gaminglight legend. Commander Polar was a long member of E11, so senior and experienced he could use the foundation to influence motivation... He had such a knowledge of leadership that he could even keep the ones he cared about from leaving. The Foundation side of the SCP Universe is a gateway to many abilities some consider to be... unnatural. He became so motivated the only thing he was afraid of was losing his motivation, which eventually of course, he did. Unfortunately he taught his friend everything he knew, then he sat with him as he left. Ironic, he could save others from leaving, but not himself.
