But some could not because of memory loss. SCP-049 explained the "Pestilence" to be a plague that needed cleansing. When asked about the medicines inside his duffel bag, he said that he could not remember, and that it was written inside his notebook, he also mentioned that his notebook was encrypted in a language only he could understand, and it could not be translated. SCP-049 also said that once someone has been cured of the "Pestilence", they become invulnerable to disease, and they will only die from mortal wounds. SCP-049 seems to have been alive for at least a millennia, as he was speaking about how eons ago he found this mask, and only the mask understands him. We believe this mask to be SCP-035 but that is to be further analyzed.
