Why do you believe you're qualified to serve as a Forum Diplomat?

I believe I'm qualified for this position because I'm active on the forums and have great communication skills. I'm also good at dealing with people, and know how to approach situations with a diplomatic mindset. Additionally, I have a lot of experience with dealing with difficult people and I'm always looking for a peaceful solution.

Would you consider yourself to have good judgement? If so, please describe a situation that required you to make a difficult decision?

Yes. I once received a report about a user who had been extremely hostile towards others in the community. This person had been actively harassing people in chat. This was a difficult situation for me because I had to decide how to approach it. I chose to start by sending the user a Verbal warning and privately reaching out to them to discuss their behavior. I approached the situation with empathy and tried to understand where the user was coming from, but also made it clear that their behavior was unacceptable. I believe this ultimately led to a positive outcome and the user agreed to change their behavior in order to remain in the community.

How would you deal with a situation where a user is spamming in various topics due to getting banned from one of our servers?

I would first try to understand why the user is spamming, and approach them with empathy. I would try to understand their situation and help them understand that spamming is not an appropriate way to handle the situation. I would also explain that spamming hurts other users who are trying to use the forums, and that it can be disruptive. If the user continues to spam after this, I would take further action such as a temporary suspension so that they can cool down and reevaluate their behavior. If the behavior persists, I would consider a ban as a suitable punishment and seek a higher ranked diplomat to assist on the situation.

How would you deal with a situation where two users are aggressively arguing with each other in a warning appeal?

I would post a message saying something like : "Hello! This is a message from a the forum diplomat team member. Keep this forum message -Support/ +Support only please! If you don't stop arguing SMT may close this topic and review it further."
