  1. ✧ Shock Security NCO Applications ✧

(To apply for NCO you must be a PFC+)

    Shock Security NCO Format:

    What is your in-game name?
    Shock SPC Bet SK851

    What is your current rank?
    Specialist

    How active can you be?
    Decently active.

    What is your time zone?
    Eastern Standard Time

What can you bring to Shock as a NCO?
If promoted to NCO I would be able to properly discipline the enlisted and be a proper leader to them when no COs are present. Being able to lead with authority makes things a little more enjoyable since you can set stations and rotate Shock Troopers through BCP, Brig and patrols.

    Why should you be trusted?
I was a Havoc CO before I went off to Army Basic Training and I am a Darth donator. I have also been apart of Shock for a week and haven't done any sort of abuse with the items given to us.

Do you have any warns on the server?
Zero, I am a good noodle.

    ♜ IMPORTANT NOTES ♜

    How to apply

Make a post in the Shock Security forum with the Provided Format and Title (Name NCO Application).

    When denied

If you are denied you must wait 3 days before being eligible to reapply (Failure to 3 days will result in a strike).

    Advertising your app

If you are caught advertising your app you will instantly be denied as well as given a strike and most likely demoted.

    How long will it take?

It can take anywhere from 1 day - 1 Week depending on when command sees you fit.

Can't wait to help you spam suggestions with what we figure out what we want to do with our sub-battalions!

  5. What you want to see? - I would like to see that the secondary purple barricade is removed in Upper-D-Block.

Why should we add it? - The only purpose the barricade serves is to allow Class-D to use their overpowered guns  to rain hell upon the OFCs and other personnel within Upper-D-Block. Such incidents include Lovebabes sniping/peaking non-stop, Reznov's with their op aim, and Class-D that have access to the Falconer. It should be removed so that newly trained and older Security don't get discouraged because they continue to die from a threat that never ends even if we neutralise the threat or retake the barricade. After 30 minutes of non-stop fighting from across Upper-D-Block Security has been forced to pull out and use Riot Protocol for the longest I've seen, 30 minutes minimum. (10 seconds minimum if the god squad Coldsilvers flagup) Also many Security just don't get on because they know how bad D-Block gets when certain jobs are active.

What are the advantages of having this? - Increase of activity and moral of General Security and a more balanced stance with the constant firefights we now have with Class-D and the Custom Jobs.

Who is it mainly for? - General Security but the whole Site will benefit since Security will be able to handle D-Block effectively again.

Links to any content - N/A

Comment: I spoke to an NCO and we both thought that the reintegration of the D-Block cafeteria would a good filler for the area so it isn't just blank and empty, or maybe an area to lounge for the Class-D.

Jakub, here's what pisses me off, is that you are not Gensec, you don't deal with D-Class like we do. They have no NLR, they have numbers on their side, and they do not care about dying because they can come back right away. We have NLR's and we have a set health before we die, and we can't heal ourselves infinitely so eventually they kill us.

The fact that ANY D-Class can have these new weapons is beyond belief. They can easily overwhelm Gensec when they group up. This last week has been a nightmare, they constantly riot because they can hit us from long-to-mid and short range, unlike before where it was all melee and the occasional Pro-D Class with a pistol.

Maybe we should have medical be required to station someone in DBlock no matter the code since the big issue is that they whittle our HP away slowly then plan a charge, we need security medics to make up the inactivity of the medical branch.

  7. GenSec can handle raids against non-heavy spams actually, last night we defeated two raids alone then third time they came in with heavies, an Abba and I believe an Alfabusa. [03/08/2020]

The MTF problem being addressed would be nice though.

Proper command structure trumps all raids against D-block and as command we gotta be prepared for the rear flank to be raped by D-Class while we mow down CI in the kill funnel we call D-Block Hallway. We will continue to adapt no matter what gets thrown at us!

I love the idea of small army dudes that could potentially see us as "giants", "gods", or even "monsters". With the diversity of people the server has, this would open up a lot of fun potential RP interactions. Maybe they'll be our secret weapon against 682, they are considered a choking hazard!

  9. +Support

Having a small civilian population would allow CI to do more RP and less raiding of D-Block : )

This would make MTF more sneaky to keep their existence unknown

SCPs that breach topside could cause an information breach and maybe even the exposure of the SCP Foundation (ET staff could have a heyday!) (Could cause a DEF1, mass amnestics used on the town, integration of civilians unaffected by amnestics be branded Class-D personnel, RP recruitment of civilians if they've applied via forums for some reason.

I would like to see rules protecting civilians though as some MTF and CI would just outright go out of their way to ruin RP and kill people whenever they get the chance.

+Support adding roll rules to MOTD, this is a sensible QOL change

-Support giving ability to do fixing rolls to non-technicians / Field experts, this will harm our already thin opportunities to be called on for help & RP

I get that this can be a good backup system for if no techs are online, but this kind of thing can typically just turn into people ignoring that techs exist, or cause in-game arguments about 'anyone can do the rolls' even if techs are online.

Isn't there a system in place already for if no techs or field experts are online? I thought CCs got automatically fixed if nobody was online to fix them? (I might be mis-remembering, based on random things i've heard in-game from people about this.)

It would be below SCP-131-A/B in how useless the SCPs are, at least you can strap C4 and tear gas to SCP-131-A/B and occasionally use it to recontain SCP-173.

No point in this weird doggo being added.

Gameplay for this SCP would be really weird, and an SCP being able to easily cause mass breaches that anyone can access would be extremely annoying. This SCP should be left to the event team for their events.

  13. Name: Bet

    Rank: Master Sergeant (MSGT, JNCO)

FTO Rank (If Applicable, SGT+): Junior Field Training Officer (JFTO)

Why should you retain your rank (WO+ must respond | 150+ words): I believe I should retain my rank of Sergeant First Class because I have been a pro-active member of security and the NCO part of security. Instead of waiting for bad or good things to happen I go the extra step of making sure the bad things don't happen or at least better prepare for them such as when D-Class stop rioting and begin to amass down in Lower-D Block arming themselves, we would dig into the barricades and make sure we have "every gun pointed at that man" elevator. I like to lead at the front and occasionally delegate tasks to CPLs and SGTs. I am not one to wait for Class-D to completely overrun us, I will give orders while being charged by a Class-D welding a hammer to request for MTF + Security to reinforce the D-Block or to prepare them for a Class-D breach. I am a man that utilizes all his resources and never admits defeat.

Any Notes, Questions, or Concerns?: I know command wants more quantity but maybe at least before promoting someone asks the online NCO+ or the person that has taken charge of D-block so that they can give important input, it would also delegate more work to JNCO+. I say this because I've seen my trainees be promoted right after training once they get to the barricade.. my problem is"Blind Promoting" by COs, promotions are supposed to make you feel good since you are seen to be standing out not because you happen to be on when a CO flags up for 5 minutes to look active.
