Chineseman

This is very common in people that plays a lot of FPS. It is not aim bot. It's just muscle memories to just immediately snap to the opponent to kill them. This type of occurances happens usually within FPS games often, and Garry's Mod is no exception to this category.

Also, evidences are not enough to immediately deem someone to be cheating.

Swept's range is high asf afaik.

FPS players can do it in half of that time, that is literally nothing for anyone that has 500 hours in a real FPS game.

Even if he didn't turn back and leave, it's possible. However, I am just curious on how you can tell that he turns back and leave within the same motion, when the door's closing sound was around 3-5 seconds after the player has been killed?

With all due respect, these arguments that are being made in this post are clearly being made by people that doesn't know about flicks.

Also hmu if u need a carry

This clip shows you seeing the guy then preforming a panic swipe over his head before flicking back, and you arent even center of mass apon flicking back

The clip chineseman shows is a clip of the fucker not even knowing he was hiding in the damn corner, "flicking" in A FRAME and then flicking back INSANTLY and proceeding towards d-block, if it was a true flick he would have taken at least a bit to return his crosshair

That flick is also center of mass, he would be very off center if he did a flick like that.

I've seen some people preform stuff like that, but its usually when they KNOW that someone is there, that 682 didn't even know chineseman was hiding in the corner.

it might be dsync but like there was no warning whatsoever

Upon a 2nd look gotta -support as just not sure while I definitely believe this individual has caused MANY motd violating problems on 682 to the point where I'm shocked they haven't been blacklisted from the job. There isn't enough evidence to conclusively say the individual in question was hacking.

I always operate under needing evidence beyond a reasonable doubt when it comes to my staff sits and back on other communities when investigating player reports for them. I'm not convinced beyond a reasonable doubt that the 682 in question is using an aim-lock/aim-assist.

1) (If I'm recalling correctly) This was either shortly after a Code Rag OR just a large SCP breach. Knowing how the server reacts sometimes to mass PvP events, it wouldn't be a stretch to be able to put this on latency or the server getting a little hung up during that interaction.

2) Garry's Mod was never known for having the cleanest combat. Even when there is no lag, I've had time were my client registers a hit on someone (blood splat, crosshair was clearly on them, etc.) and I've never gotten the hit marker and the target never got damaged. Who's to say that your client didn't register that 682 had turned to check the corner? Maybe they turned, clicked, and turned back with your client only receiving that you were attacked.

3) That 682 was loose for a lonnnngggg time, getting multiple kills during that time. If there was something fishy going on, then I'm sure that there would be more than just your report of this. I should also go on to say that I did the same thing you did to avoid them and was not attacked by them.

There just isn't enough evidence present to convince me that the accused was hacking. If anything, there's more evidence to support a small spike in lag right as this happened.

Here's what I think of this

1. This movement is strange, he kills him in the half-second that he had entered the door and then immediately leaves within about a second, or 2 if you're really picky. It seems like 682 just went there specifically to kill a person who he already knew was there (wall-hacking???)

2. Desync, lag, and latency? On 59 players, atleast half of whom are most likely AFK (considering this was apparently late night according to what American said)? Come on.

3. He does this in under half a second, of course the pro valorant player justifies this as just a simple, ez pz flick, however the person in the valorant clip did 2 things: 1. he knew someone was in that spot (or was atleast somewhat anticipating it), and 2. it would seem he panicked? (correct me if im wrong). 682 had no reason to panic and no reason to believe someone was in that specific spot. Especially when Alex claims he did this exact same thing and was not killed. If ZJ could toggle his hacks and whatnot, Sno can too.

4. This guy has already had many problems on 682 in the past, according to Trizium and from personal experience. It just seems like something he would do. This may be slightly biased, but I don't have any reason to believe he wouldn't do this.

For those of you saying "just a quick flick" keep in mind, 682 has NO CLUE that Chineseman is around that corner, so what would he be flicking at? Even if 682 was in 3rd person, the rang of view would not extend far enough for him to see chineseman. This is blatant proof of hacking

A few things to note before considering banning this guy.

1. The clip at hand doesn't show much more than the flick itself, Gmod 3rd person camera exists and lets you see through walls somewhat when pressed up against it, very possible the guy saw chineseman around the corner when he was walkin' up. (Picture for what I mean with prop to show that you can see through walls with this) However this could of been accidental and not as if he was exploiting, maybe his camera clipped and saw chineseman.

2. Relating to the thing above, I know a multitude of players who just spam SCP sweps to attempt to kill cloakers and players quickly so its very likely the guy was spamming it and turned to chineseman on it or got lucky thinking someone was in the corner while spamming.

3. Like a lot of others said latency is a thing, it's very well possible that the guy was aimed at chineseman longer than it looked like in the clip on snothewolfs end

Overall this doesn't feel 100% concrete to flat out permaban someone, while it is possible they could of been using aimbot to lock onto him, this clip alone without pretext (where chineseman was before the clip started I.E. Running around or making noise/running from 682 previously) it's possible chineseman was being chased before.

-Support If more concrete evidence shows up or something similar happens with this player then he really shouldn't be perma banned for this. Everything above is potential, not guaranteed this is what the guy did. Just showing numerous ways the guy could of seen him before we say "hE's AiM bOtTiNg"

+/- support leaning towards +support

reasons why I support it

Extremely suspicious how fast he flicked around to kill Chineseman after coming around that corner

Not especially common to be spamming click and flicking corners at mach 10 every time you come around a corner

reasons why I don’t support it

very well could have been server lag, after all the inputs of players vs what the server reads vs what gets displayed is sometimes laggy and could cause something like this to happen

could just be pressing click and checking corners as a specific thing this individual does
