Why do you believe you should become a Maintenance Command member (100+ words)? In my time in maintenance, I have proven that I am a dedicated, hardworking, and committed member of the branch. I was trained for FTO ASAP once promoted, and in a little over 24 hours I had exceeded the total number of trainings from all of last week. I have nearly doubled the amount of active members, I know the SOPs upways downways straightaways and sideways, I have interacted with and gained a good reputation with all active members of the branch, and my activity and training logs speak for themselves. I believe I am a model maintenance member, a top tier technition of trash, a connoisseur of containment, an armorer aficionado. [The following questions are intended to test your response and ability as command. You must answer 2 (two) of the questions, though you may answer all 3 if you wish.] 8-1. A Utility Trainee has escaped the training room and is refusing to return, how would you handle this? Attempt to cuff the trainee, enlisting the help of any nearby personnel to form a prisoner diamond around the trainee, or to trap him in a corner. Should this not be possible, I would simply stay within earshot of the trainee, explaining that I am going to demote and DNT them, before, well, demoting and placing them on a DNT 8-2. Some enlisted members have begun RDMing each other in bunks as a way to pass time, what would you do in this situation? This is not an issue, as standing within the bucks space makes you both invincible and unable to damage anything, regardless of where they are in relation to the bunks. 8-3. A Junior Maintenance is breaking multiple SOP rules such as improperly using tools and disregarding DEFCON rules, what are your next steps? Attempt to stop the JM and pull them aside, verbally warn them for their actions and then release them back to their duties, this time under my supervision. Should they continue to break SOP rules after I have warned them, I will have to issue a strike for insubordination on top of their other discrepancies, removing them from the branch. Depending on their actions I may see it fit to also add them to the DNT list.
