I have been a member of Shock Security since the 25th of May, 2022. How much time do you have on the server? I currently have about 50-60 hours on the server. Why do you feel that you deserve the position of officer? I believe that I deserve the position of officer because of my experience and time dedicated to Shock since I've joined the community. Since I've become a member of Shock Security I have dedicated 90% of the time spent on the server to Shock Security. I have dedicated my time as an NCO to teaching other members our day-to-day operations along with leading them during events. I have studied the Shock Security SOP and I have become well-versed in it, I know what is expected of members of Shock Security and this will allow me to enforce these rules and coach members on them to the best of my ability. I also believe that I deserve the position of officer because of the multiple skills and traits that I possess. For example, I am described by my teachers and peers that I have a strong leadership trait and that I can take initiative in situations that call for it and change situations for the better. I am also able to easily de-escalate situations that are heated or beginning to cause conflict. I also hold a very positive and optimistic attitude and I believe this is one of the most vital traits for a person in a leadership position. Being positive and optimistic during stressful and despondent situations and looking on the bright side is how you push and make it through those situations. If you’re pessimistic and you don’t look on the bright side, that is how you break down and let the situation consume you. Lastly, I am a very team-oriented person. I believe that working in a team is 110% better than working by yourself as you have other people to help support you and assist you if you are having trouble with something. It also allows you as a team to be more efficient by having separate people do separate things instead of one person doing everything. Being a team-oriented person will assist me in a role like Officer because I will be able to work with other members of the Shock Security Chain of Command proficiently. This will also allow me to be more productive as an Officer as I will always be able to ask for assistance and guide others who need my assistance. Why do you feel you can be trusted to hold this position? I feel like I can be trusted to hold this position because I am very responsible and I take accountability for all my actions. If I mess up, I will always be honest and will take accountability. I will always strive for improvement and I believe that no one can stop improving. No one is perfect and everyone messes up but you must take accountability to improve and better yourself as a person. I believe that this trait is important for a position like Officer because having someone in a leadership position who is dishonest and not accountable for themselves makes the person untrustworthy overall. Outside of Gaminglight, I also volunteer for my cities EMS provider. Being a first responder requires a lot of discipline and you are held to a very high standard, as other peoples lives depend on it. If chosen, what can you add to the battalion that other applicants can't? I believe that I can add a lot to Shock Security that other applicants cannot. First of all, I am a former Staff member and Sergeant in a FiveM PoliceRP server. While FiveM and Garry's Mod are very different games, the roleplay servers have many similarities. In this FiveM server I was a training officer for 2 years, being a training officer has helped me learn many things about being a good leader and trainer overall which I believe I can share with other NCOs in the battalion so they can train recruits to the best of their ability. Being an experienced member of the chain of command in this FiveM server has also taught me about leadership and how to properly handle situations. This experience has made me comfortable issuing discipline to members while also making sure that it is a learning experience for everyone involved. I also have many unique ideas for the Shock Security battalion that I believe could be discussed amongst the officers and contribute to the overall growth of the battalion and the empire. How active can you be? I can be in server a couple of hours every 4-5 days of the week.
