Actually give a reason for suggestion denial - Accepted [Completed]

Its Buck

Recommended Posts

What are you suggesting? - That when denying a suggestion the reason for denial actually gets stated like “This won’t work because bla bla bla” or “we are already doing something along these lines”  or “Denied based on community feedback” instead of having these informing messages we get the standard “Denied SMT have decided against adding this to the server for the performance of the server, benefit of the server or another unstated reason.” This is a rather shitty way of communicating things especially on post that has a hell of a lot of +supports

How would this change better the server? -  Increase communication with player base about suggestions

Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. -  No

Who would this change mostly benefit? - The community and SMT as it would avoid similar post from being made

Please link any workshop content, screenshots, or anything that you think may be helpful to those who view this suggestion -

Example of what it should look like:

RETIRED

SCP-RP:Delta-5 CPT | Deputy Head G9| Medical DHFW Doctor. | E11 1LT | Head Ranger | D4 Vanguard FF5 | RnD EOI V3 Canibal

ImperialRP: MC 1LT Bacon 3817 |  DT SGT FF5

Cant imagine there is a reason not too. Ive seen suggestions with high community feedback get denied without an explanation (or at least one im aware of). Having a definitive reason for denial would help people better their suggestions. A flat copy a paste gives literally nothing. It might as well just say "denied" as the reasons given could be one, all, or none of them.

  • More recyclers: denied due to no good spots for recyclers to be added/finding extra room but also placing them in spots which make logistical sense.
  • Code brown: Denied due to lack of seriousness, while its funny, it would be cool for a week, after such players will most likely complain and ask for it to be removed/waste of SMT resources.
  • Adding intimidation to interrogations: Denied as its a already complex system with this addition bringing on yet another "counter" or "step" within players would need to know. IMO it our rules for such Roleplay situation are already at ridiculous state for some situation to take place and having are MOTD be 10pages long things like this start to build up. A rewrite of the RP situation would be more appreciate.

Going forward this is something we can do for major suggestions but some suggestions can be quite obvious in regards to if they will be denied or not.
I will say if you ever want to know why a suggestion was denied just simply DM myself or ask me in TS, ill be happy to let anyone know why their suggestion or another suggestion was denied <3.
