darkstarson12 Posted May 30, 2022 Share Posted May 30, 2022 (edited) [In-Game Name] DT SN04 [Callsign] BR0 [Rank] Second Lieutenant [Why do you believe you deserve this position] I believe I deserve this position because in all honesty, when I first joined DT I knew I wanted to be a marksman of some sort. I didn’t really understand the ranking system or the sub battalions, but once I learned of V07 I was hooked. Unfortunately, the position was filled so I took an alternative route that satisfied my inner sniper-Seeker Company. Having the capability to perform excellently in long distance engagements is extremely appealing to me, so seeker was a natural fit. V07, though, is the embodiment of what it is to be a marksman. As V07, I must give accurate and concise callouts in order to protect the life of my VIP, as well as the lives of my fellow Deathtroopers. V07 is meant to be a precision killing machine, calculated with every move made, every callout in comms meaning life or death. I work well under pressure, and in the midst of the chaos I have the ability to keep my cool and still give accurate callouts when required without hotmiking or yelling. TI-23 must be equipped to handle every scenario, V07 is no different. I specialize in long distance engagements, however, I am no stranger to close quarters fights as well. The position of V07 deserves to go to someone who can put time and love into it, and represent not only TI-23 but DT as a whole in a positive way. I am able to give the slot the attention it deserves, having done 69 DT tryouts in a week I am more than willing to put all my effort into not only DT, but also the unit and V07. I am quick to adapt, after being put into the position of a seeker sergeant and officer almost simultaneously, I needed to quickly transition from standard tryouts to sims, trainings, and seeker selections. I had never done a sim, but I quickly learned the ropes of what it meant to be in the position I was suddenly in. This adaptability is vital for a marksman unit, as when you have an eagle eye view over the battlefield and are responsible for your unit knowing exactly what threat is incoming, it becomes a very dynamic scenario. Overall, I couldn’t see myself becoming any other positions within TI-23. Other positions have come and gone, but I just couldn’t see myself in the positions that were described for the given job. I knew other people would fit the job better, and quite frankly I didn’t want to fill a role that I wasn’t absolutely certain I wanted. This, however, I know I would excel in. [Why do you want to be a part of Unit TI-23] Unit TI-23, to me, is the closest and tight-knit squad of Deathtroopers. While still maintaining close contact with all other DT, members of the unit are like brothers, and team chemistry is incredibly important. An elite unit means nothing if there isn’t trust, unit cohesion, and comradery. I thrive in environments such as the aforementioned, smaller groups of people whom I get to know extremely well and genuinely care for. This isn’t to say other members of DT aren’t my brothers in arms as well, because in DT we are all one unit, but being able to have that family within TI-23 is incredibly appealing to me. I have always preferred smaller squads, both in real life and in game. The team oriented battling as well as the concept of moving as a unit is right up my alley. I guess the short answer for why I want to be part of TI-23 is simple, I want to have the chance to really understand and appreciate each member for who they are, while in a battalion-wide setting it’s much harder to get one on one time with everyone. The tight knit community that is TI-23 is appealing to me in every aspect, from the people who currently hold the positions being some of my closest friends, to the honor of being able to call myself a member of the unit, I love every bit of TI-23, but I refuse to take up a slot that I am not absolutely crazy about. V07 is THE slot in TI-23 for me. It is who I am, a marksman by heart, the kind of person to use a sniper occasionally in close quarters combat just because I prefer it. I want to be the marksman of the Deathtrooper battalion, the unit responsible for advanced reconnaissance and precision kills. V07 fills the craving I have for the position of a marksman, and I fell in love with it the second I came across its existence. [What does Unit TI-23 do] Unit TI-23 is a group of 5 classified Deathtrooper lore characters each specializing in their own unique set of skills and loadout. The 5 are as follows, F16, L21, C37, M36, and V07. F16 is the leader of the squad, as every elite squad needs its very own elite leader. F16 focuses on leading and commanding the unit in battle. F16 has the capabilities of each member of the unit, essentially merging all of TI-23 into one leader. L21 is the demolitions specialist, which is basically the regimental engineer and heavy weapons unit of the battalion. C37 is the CQC specialist, thriving in close range combat dominating foes who come too close to him, his VIP, or his unit. M36 is the medic, responsible for the health and wellness of the VIP under the protection of DT. More so, M36 plays a vital role in keeping the rest of the unit alive, while still being versatile on the battlefield. Finally, V07 is the marksman of the group. V07 is tasked with reconnaissance as well as elite marksmanship in order to eliminate any threat that may pose a threat to any DT related affairs before it ever becomes a problem. V07 gives concise comms to the rest of the group in order to paint a picture in the mind of the squad of precisely what is up ahead of them, so the group can prepare a plan of attack before the enemy forces ever have a chance to reach them. [How active can you be] I am extremely active, despite having a full time job. My schedule is a bit strange, being very busy on weekends whilst not nearly as busy during the actual week. You will see me for much smaller intervals of time on the weekends, but during the weeks I am on a minimum of 5+ hours a day, every day. I am mostly a late night player, however I still catch the usual events in the late afternoon and evening. [Do you understand that if you are accepted into Unit TI-23, you will be on a 1-strike system] Loud and clear, TI-23 are meant to be the most elite out of the elite battalion, so it only makes sense that we are held up to standards. -Proud member of the best battalion, SN04. I am going to examine things I've noticed from you on an individual level. Where I think you stand out: You're good at leading others. Your dedication to DT is impeccable, you always exceed quota by a large margin. You work well in a tight-knit group. You work well under pressure, which would undoubtedly be an essential trait needed for V07 You're great in combat. Your application shows a lot of time and effort. Where I think you may struggle against other applicants: V07 is a combat-heavy role, and while I think you're great in PVP, I have yet to see another applicant's performance.
