TechKat Posted May 8, 2022 Share Posted May 8, 2022 Problem: The Staff XP Guidelines created by Igneous haven't been updated to include current MOTD changes, such as XP for Maintenance fixing stuff, for Nu7 Field Experts/E11 Combat Engineers, for Medical's surgeries, CI R&D, and double XP during Night Surge. Example: Player calls a sit for RP situation that falls under current guidelines, staff unfamiliar with the rule for classes/branches not listed in the guide, or have forgotten the numbers spend an additional couple minutes browsing the MOTD for situation not listed. Solution: The post is updated so that instead of spending time browsing MOTD for these circumstances, everyone's properly rewarded, unaware staff are better informed, player's gameplay/immersion isn't interrupted for nearly as much time. (eg. reduced sit times) Reasoning: It's a pinned post in the Staff Discussion forums that nearly every T-Mod+ is semi-expected to sign off on (regardless of Igneous retiring), plus it saves everyone included in the sit valuable time that could be spent on RP. Additionally, it's collating several rules and putting them in one easy to access location, essentially cleaning up the forums a bit. Addendum: I do understand that it's possible everyone has the numbers committed to memory, but this could help everyone else that doesn't and whomever does keep the guide bookmarked.
