General Suggestion - Disallow D4 From Going Onto D block Catwalk Unless Given Perms By Zone Manager+. - Accepted [Completed]

What are you suggesting?

I am suggesting that D4 should not be allowed to go on the catwalk in D-block without perms from Zone Manager+.

How would this change better the server? -

For those who don't know, according to HOS Sixx, Mind, and Coltable: all SF are allowed onto the D block catwalk without needing perms.

For as long as I can remember, E11 have not been allowed to enter D block unless they are given perms by a Zone Manager+. This is because E11's main objective while onsite should be to deal with threats outside D block such as: Keter breaches and D class in HCZ. This is also a rule to balance the game and give D class a fair fight. Allowing D4 onto the D block catwalk without needing perms from anyone just negates the already established rule of E11 can't be in D block unless given Zone Manger+ perms.

Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. -

N/A

Who would this change mostly benefit? -

D-class

I don't think E11 should be allowed up there at all without Zone Manager+ perms (Since E11 HCMD can go up there freely), since its considered being in D-Block still. Also D4 Is just OP Compared to D-Class, kinda unfair for D-Class.

I'm gonna be real. D4 aren't OP. They're 200 | 200 with an ACOG. The walkways are also ridiculously exposed so just a couple people shooting up there with contenders should be good enough to kill a D4.

-support D4 in my opinion are no different than hsu which has the same hp and armor as us and would be allowed in (keep in mind this would fuck over the whole argument of letting "op" sf's in d block) if this went into effect even though they also have high command that can just go in anyway, if you made this rule for 1 sf i would expect the other sf to follow this as well since in general the rule of e11 only entering d block was made by a man who didnt talk to high command about it and went to smt himself and that action has fucked e11 over since then, and for me personally I haven't seen any issue in letting d4 into d block by the pathway.

The only way I would even find this appealing is if d4 could only enter as a high command escort and is allowed in when the e11 high command go in

No offense but why in the living fuck would d4 ever need to go on the cat walk on their own accord?

Riots? That's why you stand outside and let gensec get a foothold or if it's that bad just ask a zone manager or nu7 to help.

Need d class? Ask the gensec

E11 should always be targeting scps and Ci and I already see constant b lines to d block ad it is.

+support if this means they are up on all the balconies overlooking all of D-Block, like the ones everywhere

Otherwise, I don't really give a shit, but E11 has to have specific perms for this sorta thing, walking into D-Block as E11 at all requires high perms, so why should it change just because they now have the high ground?

half of this i have no idea what hes talking about

However if D4 have the same health as HSU why are d4 being banned but not HSU, is it because they look badass (its true)

Note:

I do believe that D4 should be allowed on the catwalk, however, I am saying that they should only be allowed up there with perms from a zone manager+ because D4 is E11. I hope this clears up some confusion.

Edit:

Also, just because HSU & D4 have similar stats does not mean they are not two completely different branches with different objectives while onsite.

Their stats don't really matter rn,

The Balconies which are overseeing Upper D-block are considered Still D-Block, D4 is a part of E-11.  And E-11 can't enter d-block unless given perms by like Site Admin I think.

D4 aren’t tanks like they use to be. They now have the same equipment and HP as HSU, who are already allowed in.

No E11 are allowed in without Zone Manager+ permission. Why would D4 break that rule and a be allowed in just because the areas a bit high in D-Block. Stats also mean nothing when the highest class-d can get is 100 100 while you guys have HSU who are able to go in. I see no point for D4 to be allowed in.
