Geeko Posted August 3, 2021 Share Posted August 3, 2021 The Issue with JRs Problem: After completing the half an hour training, some JRs skip over the SOP and other rules that were not on the test. I've seen so many JRs and gensec going back and forth about the JR not taking an escort and going wherever they please. Yesterday night there was a manhunt for a JR who wasn't listening and breaking many rules of the motd and sop. This causes a lot of unnecessary arguments that easily could've been solved by the JR reading their SOP before kidnapping D-Class. This happens a lot more often than you may think and if you've ever seen it happen, I am sorry for you. Solution: I believe that an easy fix to this issue is to remove handcuffs from the JR job. They would still be able to get D-Class by asking a gensec to grab them which most people do anyways. This would give the JRs a decent amount of time to learn how their job and sop work while preventing silly mistakes. Since most JRs get promoted in under 24 hours anyways, I think that's a good enough amount of time to learn more about the job and what not to do. Issue with the Solution: So obviously there are going to be a small minor issues with my solution, but in my opinion there are a lot more positives than negatives. The main issue with this solution that I can see is Junior Researchers not being able to cuff Class-D during their experiments, so they will have to ask their escorts to do it for them. This could also be a small positive to encourage Junior Researchers to actually bring escorts with them to LCZ and HCZ. Overview: Overall, I do think this idea will solve the issue of Junior Researchers running rampant across the site with several d-class and no escorts. If you agree with me that is fantastic, but if you don't that's fine as well. Hence why they are JR they are to be asking for help, also tbh idk about the removing cuff from them because they are researchers and if you removed cuffs from them they might as well be Research Trainee's...
