Shipments - Accepted

Propane

Recommended Posts

What are you suggesting? - Allow D-Class suppliers to purchase weapon shipments for an equivalent price

How would this change better the server? - Makes the supplier easier to supply all of D-Block

Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. - idk if the normal darkrp stuff will work

Who would this change mostly benefit? - Rioters

If one Class-D could buy all the Class-D in D-Block a weapon especially a gun this could fuck up everything. I see Class-D easily overpower gensec with weapons all the time and I dont think this is needed.

I mean, Suppliers already can do this, but i do agree that making it this much easier could mess with GenSec's balance.

Generally i would rather have the shipments as semi-auto pistols and nothing else to not overpower

Can possibly Change the balance between Gensec and D-class.

Yeah I’m not of literally all the d class on with Glocks rioting. It’s gonna make Gensec’s job way more harder.

Supplier can already do this. This would just make it easier. -Support still tho.

For balance sake,  I personally would go with either making the shipment an equivalent cost, or more expensive than individually buying guns.

The biggest advantage I see is lag reduction during these kinds of riots and I'll explain why:
On multiple occasions I've been given 100/200k by other players to spawn as many glocks as possible for rioting. Every time, I've been able to fill the entire casino, and the floor outside the casino, with glocks.  200k is enough to buy me 100 glocks. Assuming that each shipment gives 10 guns, I can either purchase and spawn 100 individual weapons scattered all over the floor, or I can purchase and spawn 10 items. Especially at peak hours, something like this will be incredibly helpful for performance during riots.

Touching on what Mike said, the only difference, balance-wise for GenSec and MTF will be riot prep time. From my experience in doing this multiple times, the slower prep-time doesn't do anything to help GenSec. They don't notice what we are doing until after we start rioting. During a riot, by myself I can generally keep up with supplying the dying d-class. Give me a second supplier and we vastly outproduce our loses. The first thing to go for a riot like this isn't guns in-stock to immediately grab, its money.

Can possibly Change the balance between Gensec and D-class.

The balance will always lean towards Gensec, unfortunately, however, this is just for convenience sake. I'm in Support of this, its not like it changes much. Its something supplier can do, just not in single quantities.

Not particularly, take when they added the CSGO knives for example, that killed GenSecs activity and made it basically unplayable to be on GenSec due to the ridiculous speed damage and range they had. Plus if all Dclass had glocks, the supplier and all other non CC's have 0 NLR meaning its a constant onslaught against GenSec which is mostly comprised of enlisted, NCO's and then some command which could probably hold back a few waves of it but after that they'd be pretty screwed as once one dies they have to wait the 2 minute NLR while Dclass continue with just as many Dclass just one less gun against them. This being said if the shipments were the same price as it would be to buy each individual gun that amount of times this seems fine to me.

Well to be fair, all Donator weapons have a history of starting off OP and D-Class seeing this and hopping on the bandwagon. (Christmas Hammer, CSGO, etc.) then getting nerfed into the ground because people complain too much. The knives were legit OP since their hit speed, damage, and range were super good. Now all 3 of those things are nerfed and no one uses em. RIP the knives.
