I got warned directly after explaining that, even though the person I carjacked said it's fine and just want me to be informed on the rules. No where in the MOTD, job menu or anywhere says that I can't do that, which is why I wasn't aware and had no idea it wasn't allowed. I find a warn excessive and I should've just gotten a verbal warning and informed on it. In addition, it should be added in the MOTD that it isn't allowed. In this sit I stated that you will be receiving one warn for Failrp however you also could receive another for carjacking as a citizen. I'm almost positive that the victim even stated that himself in the comment of the report. The victim uploaded a video clearly showing me 45 seconds prior to anyone stealing his car to his car being stolen with no adverts. I also double checked by going through logs/chat. the part where I even brought up that you couldn't carjack as a citizen was later in the sit after you were warned. This is why I try to at least attempt to backlog videos incase the person being warned decides to post up a warn appeal. Regardless, civs can commit crime as LONG as they follow the specific guidelines that everyone else has to, otherwise myself and other staff members would have been warned for FailRP as a citizen a couple of years ago when we were running around as sovereign citizens. While punishments are staff discretion, a simple verbal would have sufficed in this instance and since we dont have any proof of whether or not the player adverted carjack, it's a he/she said situation and that's just not good enough. IF a video does show up, I will change my support based on what is in the video, but in the meantime I stand at where i'm at. “The only way that we can live is if we grow.
