Lore Name: Dr Dada
Rank: Junior Researcher
SCP: 173

Question / Idea: What are SCP-173's limitations on vision?
Background Research:

SCP-173 is known for not being about to move while he is within sight of a living organism. You don't have to even know he is their to stop his movement, just your brain.
Hypothesis:

My hypothesis is that SCP-173 should not be able to move within the mist even within sight, this depends on the thickness of the mist as I believe a human brain may be able to see SCP-173 for a small distance without the class D noticing.

Observations (What Happened During Test):

3 class D were moved into 173's containment cell, one was released and the doors were shut. The class D then went on to release the other class D with him. Upon all 3 being free and staring at 173, coordinating their blinks. A thick substance of mist was vented into 173's containment until vision was near impossible upon a couple meters. we then had the class D stare at the exact same spot SCP-173 was before the mist was vented.
Evidence/Visual Stimuli: N/A

Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results):

SCP-173's response was to kill all class D at an accelerated rate. Within 20 seconds of halting the vented mist, SCP-173 was able to navigate through the mist and attack either, behind or out of the corner of the class D's eye to terminate them.  It was reported that the class D could hear scraping of a large rock skidding across the corners of the containment before the sudden termination. It seems as if SCP-173 was able to use a sort of tactic or strategy to get behind the class D, and was fully aware of the mists presence.
Was Your Hypothesis Correct?:

No, SCP-173 was able to pass through the mist at an accelerated rate and kill all class D within 20 seconds of the vented mist ceasing.

Although bolding headers is a step above, still mostly plain white tests

This type of test has been done a lot, but not to this method or detail.
