SCP: SCP-049

 

Purpose:

To discover more about the curing methods and origins of SCP-049

Hypothesis:

My hypothesis is that SCP-049 may refuse to divulge answers about curing/uncuring, but with proper encouragement may reveal his origins.

Procedures:

1. Procced to SCP-049's CC.

2. Ask SCP-049 the following questions?

3. How do you cure somebody?

4. How do you uncure somebody?

5. Where were you born, if you where born at all?

6. What is your age?

Results/Observations:

I asked SCP-049 how to cure somebody. He simply scoffed and said "Cure somebody? I use my methods"

Afterwards I asked SCP-049 how to uncure somebody. He gave a similar response. As I was setting up the torture equipment, one of the escorts stepped up and talked about the furthering of research. Afterwards, SCP-049 seemed compliant, and he said to uncure somebody they first have developed a resistance to the pestilence. He followed up by saying "What I do afterwards cannot be comprehended by a human being.".  In response to the question "Where were you born" he said his latest memory was of the Arabian Desert. When asked about his age, he says he cannot have an age, as he doesn't change by the passing of time.

Analysis:

SCP-049 curing methods are practical, but cannot be understood by human beings. SCP-049 seems to have originated somewhere close to Arabia. SCP-049 cannot age, and considers itself neither old nor young.

 

Conclusion:

SCP-049 is likely Arabian, and although his curing methods are unknown, we have taken one step to understanding them.

In-lore, 049 cannot uncure people. It is used by the server to reverse cures done on accident or done in a rulebreaking manner. 

Furthermore, the Foundation wouldn't use torture methods on an SCP incapable of regeneration, especially a sentient one. They wouldn't want to risk damaging it permanently, and the Ethics Committee would NEVER allow it.

Finally, one can infer that 049 originates from France, judging by his attire and the fact his native language is french, however this is not confirmed, so I won't count it.
