Seymour
Lore Name: Sven Rank: Researcher SCP: 999 and 049 Question / Idea: How will SCP-049 react when exposed to SCP-999? Background Research: SCP-049 is a humanoid entity, roughly 1.9 meters in height, which bears the appearance of a medieval plague doctor. While SCP-049 appears to be wearing the thick robes and the ceramic mask. SCP-049 will become hostile with individuals it sees as being affected by the Pestilence, often having to be restrained should it encounter such. If left unchecked, SCP-049 will generally attempt to kill any such individual. SCP-999 appears to be a large, amorphous, gelatinous mass of translucent orange slime, weighing about 54 kg (120 lbs) with a consistency similar to that of peanut butter. Simply touching SCP-999’s surface causes an immediate mild euphoria, which intensifies the longer one is exposed to SCP-999, and lasts long after separation from the creature. In addition to its playful behavior, SCP-999 seems to love all animals (especially humans), refusing to eat any meat and even risking its own life to save others Hypothesis: SCP-999 will be able to calm SCP-049 and have a friendly interaction. Observations (What Happened During Test): When SCP-999 entered SCP-049's containments chamber, SCP-049 paused and looked at SCP-999. About 5 seconds later, SCP-049 attempted to pet SCP-999. SCP-999 joyfully let SCP-049. Then the testing chamber was reopened, and a handful of various candies were given to SCP-049. After the testing chamber was closed, SCP-049 was instructed to give the candy to SCP-999. SCP-049 complied and gave the candy to SCP-999. The candy was absorbed by SCP-999 within seconds. At this point in the test, the experiment was deemed successful. SCP-999 was removed from the containment chamber and the test was concluded. Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): The results of this test occurred from SCP-999's ability to induce happiness in almost any living thing it comes into contact with.
