Why should we add it? - BEFORE YOU DENY THIS READ FURTHER. There isn't much sense that Palpatine, the highest position gainable on the server is only held by the Server Manager. Star Wars RP has one aspect that makes it so fun. Ranks. Even if we never get to reach of rank goal the possibility of it makes Starwars RP thrive and its players continue for years. That is why the highest position should be attainable through hard work and application process. This drive will lead to more activity and work from players. From a business standpoint,it will simply get Gaminglight More money and it can only help. I am fine with the Server leadership using whatever job they want including Palpatine as long as another Palpatine is not on the server(Because that makes no sense). There can even be staff only jobs to award staff members. What are the advantages of having this? - I stated most of them in the above section but I will add more. - More activity and drive for players. - More money being spent from those players. - No new models or coding needed. - More likely RP from a Palpatine (Not to say that the Manager can't RP as Palpatine but I feel that most of the time from what I have seen they Mainly deal with staff stuff on the whitelist. - It can only help. Who is it mainly for? - The whole Server. Links to any content - N/A This is no disrespect to Headshot or other staff members hoping to gain the position. Like I said you will still be able to play as Palpatine when the Applied one is not on. Please do not show bias because of this and because It is a major change. It has worked in many servers where gaining palpy is less difficult due to a smaller playerbase. Plus since Palpatine rank is hard to achieve I'm pretty if someone gets it, it will be a someone known by the server as well as worthy of carrying the rank of Palpatine. In lore you would rarely see him on an ISD other than his own and even less likely fighting on the ground. The rank is there to have the final say and check High Command, Vader is not "staff only" as you say and he can do essentially everything Palpatine can but has the Manager above them as a power check.
