Level D personnel involved: D-1111, & D-1112. SCP: SCP-076-2 Errors and/or safety hazards: The MTF could have had their weapons out in front of SCP-076-2 and would be terminated with no security, or breaches and mostly riots possibly. Question: Question 1: Can SCP-098 create an SCP-098 Claw/Hand? Question 2: Will SCP-076-2 be threatened by a photo of a gun/weapon? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Background Research: SCP-076 consists of two components: a stone cube (SCP-076-1) and a humanoid entity contained within (SCP-076-2). SCP-076-1 is a 3 m cube made of black speckled metamorphic stone. All surfaces outside and within SCP-076-1 are covered in deeply engraved patterns corresponding to no known civilizations. Radioisotope analysis indicates that the object is approximately ten thousand (10,000) years old. A door is located on one side, sealed with a lock 0.5 m in width, surrounded by twenty (20) smaller locks in a circular pattern. As of yet, none of the keys have been found, making the door impossible to lock once closed. The interior temperature is approximately 93 Kelvin, and cannot be altered by any means, internal or external. Directly in the center of the room is a 2.13 m tall stone coffin, held in place and sealed shut by several chains of unknown make and substance, which are attached to the inner corners of SCP-076-1. SCP-076-2 resembles a lean Semitic human male in his late twenties. Hair is black, and the eyes are gray, skin tone olive. The subject is 1.96 m in height and 81.65 kg in weight. Numerous tattoos depicting arcane and occult iconography are present all over the body (mostly in the form of leering demonic faces) and ranges from subtle to openly ostentatious. Subject, when encased inside SCP-076-1, is technically dead. However, occasionally SCP-076-2 will awaken, effectively "reanimating", complete with all vital processes needed to sustain a living human being. The subject will then attempt to leave SCP-076-1. If successful, the subject will enter a trance state and seek out the nearest human being, ignoring all other living things in the process. Upon coming into contact with living humans, SCP-076-2 will enter a rage state in which it attempts to engage and kill all human beings encountered. To date, only the subject's death has been shown to be effective in ending these rampages. Terminating SCP-076-2 is often problematic due to its significant physical abilities. The subject has superhuman strength and speed, and although not invulnerable, has shown a remarkable ability to ignore pain and shock, pressing on despite what would be debilitating wounds in normal humans. Prior encounters have shown that SCP-076-2 has the ability to (among other things): * Rip through a reinforced steel security door over the course of four (4) minutes of the sustained assault. * Clear over 64 m of distance in under three (3) seconds. * Take multiple .50 calibers BMG rounds to the head and survive for several minutes to continue killing, despite severe damage to the cerebellum. * Swat handgun and assault-rifle caliber bullets out of the air with a length of steel rebar. * Survive for over one (1) hour deprived of oxygen before finally asphyxiating. * SCP-076-2's most unusual ability, however, is its ability to apparently materialize bladed weapons out of nowhere. Slow-motion video footage reveals that the blades in question are actually pulled from a miniature dimensional rift described as a "small hole in space." Where this portal leads is unknown, as is how SCP-076-2 is capable of generating said rifts. Footage of the blades in question shows them to be made out of a completely non-reflective black material appearing as a "black void in space." As the blades rapidly vanish after leaving the subject's possession, no structural analysis is possible at this time. SCP-076-2 has effectively been killed several times in various manners: * Sustained fire from multiple heavy-caliber machine guns. * Asphyxiation. * Crushed beneath a 13.6 metric tonne piece of elevator equipment for use on SCP-076-1. * Cremation through the use of a Thermate-TH3 grenade placed directly inside SCP-076-2's open chest cavity. * During the worst breach to date, Containment Area-25 (which previously housed SCP-076) was forced to detonate its on-site warhead as a last attempt to contain SCP-076-2 while it was attempting escape, resulting in the total destruction of the site and all on-site personnel. SCP-076-1 survived. Upon death, SCP-076-2's remains will putrefy rapidly, until reduced to dust. SCP-076-1 and the coffin within will then slam shut with great force and the lock will rotate, sealing it shut. SCP-076-2 will then reform within the coffin, a process taking anywhere from six (6) hours to twenty-five (25) years. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hypothesis: Hypothesis 1: I believe he will be able to create the SCP-098 Claw/Hand due to it being a weapon and that can be used as a melee. Hypothesis 2: Will SCP-076-2 be threatened by a photo on a weapon? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Observation/Visual Stimuli(Photos/videos): [BEGIN EXTRA DETAIL] Dr. Vindertech: "Hello, I am wondering MTF Tau 5 ██████, are you able to do a 076-2 test?" MTF Tau 5 ██████ nods in agreement. Dr. Vindertech: "Nice, now MTF Nu7 LCPL ███████, are you interested in a 076-2 test that I will be testing on?" MTF Nu7 LCPL ███████ also nods in agreement. Dr. Vindertech: "Excellent" [END EXTRA DETAIL] ------------------------------------- [INSERTING TEST LOG...] ------------------------------------- [GRANTED... ACCESSING LOG] ------------------------------------- [BEGIN LOG] Vindertech and the MTF crew along with D-1111 & D-1112 enters SCP-076-2's CC. Vindertech: "Leave the two Class-D over there, all handle this first part of the test." MTF nods in agreement. Vindertech opens 076's room. Vindertech: "Hello 076-2, just ro-quickly got to ask you, can you make this?" It shows a photo of 098's claw. 076-2 attempts to make 098's claw and succeeds to make it. Vindertech: "Nice! Give me a second ro-quick." Vindertech: "MTF, send in D-1111." MTF push's D-1111 into the box with Vindertech. Vindertech gives a photo of a sword to D-1111. Vindertech: "Now show this to SCP-076-2." D-1111 seemed confused at first, and then understands what he is doing and agrees to do so. SCP-076-2 does not seem threatened. Vindertech: "Intertesting, MTF bring in D-1112." MTF pushes D-1112 into the room with Vindertech. Vindertech hands D-1112 a photo of a gun." Vindertech: "Ok show this to SCP-076-2." D-1112 applies and does it, and SCP-076-2 felt threatened and slayed D-1112." Vindertech: "Wow, I was not expecting that, well thank you 076-2, we got to go, And I'm stopping this log now." [END LOG] SCP-076-2 in person. Analysis and Conclusion: It seems to be for the first part of the test, SCP-076-2 was able to create the SCP-098 claw, and for the second part of the test, he wasn't hostile to a photo to a sword, but hostile of a gun on a photo. Only 2 problems I see, first I don't recall being there for the test but that might just be my memory giving up on me. Second problem is that your Background information seems to be half of the test log, If possible next time please try only adding background information that is relevant to the SCP your testing on and Details about the SCP we should know about the SCP for this test. Other than those everything is amazing. (P.S. The SCP-076-2 on the server is completely different from the one in lore, so this one is a little tricky to pin point. Creativity: 17/20 Not many tests exist of SCP-098 nor SCP-076. So it is interesting to see you tackle something different. The choice to utilize SCP-076-2's ability to manafest blades, is also a concept that can be recycled, leading to little restriction. Presentation: 11/20 Presentation is slightly above standard. I highly recommend the use of bullet points and colour to polish up your log. Writing: 18/40 Vindertech, I'm going to be straight with you. Stop plagiarizing the wiki for your background research. I've noticed that most of the writing in your tests come from straight from the wiki. To prove a point, 2/3 of this log is just stolen from the SCP-076 wiki. Background research is a really broad section. You can write about reasonings as to why you performed the test, or maybe events that have occured leading up to the the test. Either way, you have to change how you write your background research. The choice to include SCP-098 was fairly redundant. The inclusion the claw could have been interchangable with any other item. Perhaps including more items for SCP-076-2 to create, could remedy this issue, as it would dilute it out. The Audio Log is fine as it is, however the speech comes off as highly artificial. Although there are a few criticisms, if there is something I would commend you for, it's that you were clearly having fun. It's important for a Researchers sanity to keep a possitive mindset, as to keep the river of test logs flowing.
