SCP-1048 Environment Testing

Question/Preferred Outcome: After multiple reports from Security and other reports from security I was going to conduct a test on SCP-1048 and determine if the rumors were true about it can scream when threatened and or harmed physically.

Required Escorts/Test Subjects: One D-Class and One Security Guard

Observations/Analysis: SCP-1048 was brought into the Safe Class Containment and the following incidents occurred.

OBS-1048-01: A D-Class personnel was given orders to threaten SCP-1048 verbally and after doing so SCP-1048 would back into a corner with a sort of scared look with its body language. After a bit of encouragement it came out for the final test.

OBS-1048-02: D-Class was set free of its restraint and told to physically harm SCP-1048. Researcher Slade was inside of the chamber for this test to ensure that the D-Class did not act up or it would be terminated. Guard was posted outside with the door open ready to respond if anything was to happen. Once the D-Class landed a punch on SCP-1048 it gave off a scream recorded at the highest of 89 decibels.

Any Failures or Faults while testing: Researcher Slade would lose his hearing and was given hearing aids by medical staff to still conduct his duties. The D-Class was terminated in the chaos by the guard posted there not sure what was happening. SCP-1048 was locked inside the Safe Class Containment for the time being.

How can we improve containment: Requesting SCP-1048 get upgraded to Euclid and also the following containment procedures added onto the file.

“SCP-1048 is allowed to free roam the facility but is never to be interacted in any sort of threatening way. Any attempts to harm SCP-1048 will lead to the offender getting reprimanded accordingly. If a scream from SCP-1048 is ever recorded the site is to go on Defcon 4 for a Euclid level containment breach and RCF/MTF are to dawn earmuffs and attempt to locate and then pick up SCP-1048 and transport it to the Temp Euclid containment chamber as soon as possible.”
