What you want to see? - Removal of PKs 

Why should we add it? - People choose a name that they like, and have been using for a long time prior to SCP-RP, and with the recent surges of PKs, a lot of people are losing their names for dumb, or unnecessary reasons. I think they don't achieve a lot, as the "requirements" to get PK'd have obviously been lowered, I don't want to name names, but an admin almost gave permission for me to be PK'd without even hearing WHY I was almost PK'd. They are thrown out way too often for what they are worth and I think removing the whole system is only beneficial to the server. 

What are the advantages of having this? - No one likes them. Unnecessary in a lot of situations.

Who is it mainly for? - Everyone.

+ Support i dont want Site command to come up to some poor person and just execute them cuz "Reasons" it hurts the way someone's name is formed. However, the only time a PK can be acceptable is when a character dies in RP I.E Getting shot in a vital body part during escort or Being "Missing in action" in RP  but not as an execution form

From my experiences with PKs, they are pretty horribly used and controlled. Every time someone asks an admin or higher to PK someone, the admin usually says yes, this can lead to very uncontrolled PKs and PKs for stupid reasons.

We all choose a username that we like, that name shouldn't be taken away from us for stupid ass reasons.

If PKs don't get removed, I think the PK guidelines should get updated, making it harder for someone to PK someone else and so that there is a actual RP reason for the PK.

While I haven't dealt with this issue, PKs seems completely unneeded, due to the way PK works and how there are better solutions other than PK. I will talk about the different PKs on the server.

One is a Soft PK, which only changes your name. Unless your name is somewhat problematic, there is no reason to change your name. If it's your name it's your name, and command just doing PK for no reason shouldn't just change that just because. It's also doesn't affect roleplay other than a name change, which can also cause other problems like ranking up in the branch that you are on. It's just unneeded and causes the problem of people being confused.

The other is normal PK, which lowers your rank as well as change your name. This one is also unneeded, due to the command member is able to just change your rank if needed, and if an admin allows them to do a normal PK for no good reason, well there goes your rank. It doesn't help and seems like a hindrance more than anything.

This one PK I don't know the name of, but it supposedly just blacklist you after you die, or if not just rank you down a lot. This is just stupid to do, and if the admin allows it even if they don't have evidence that is needed to justify it, you are gone from your brach and have to start from scratch, and without the same name before. This is just depressing. And also, to be honest, once a PK happens everyone forgets it, so eventually the person can break the PK rule and nobody will notice.

It's a tool that doesn't do much, and it is used too often. Commands can bypass the normal PK rules, and also can soft PK anybody they wish to, which ruins the reason the person haves a name they might've grown with. Why ruin this, as well as make it difficult for other commands to know you. I know it's supposed to add to realism, but what kind of realism can you get when the game itself is about creepy abnormalities breaching containment and killing guards and scientist, while crazy people who come out of a prison area does the same thing, and orange people from outside come grab these other orange crazy people. It's not needed to have PK, and it needs to be removed or only used for good reasons.

And then I, Alex B, comes back after so long to Security with the new name of Seeker that nobody remembers me anymore, but I don't care and I just want to shoot D-Class.

I dont even know who is who on Gensec Command anymore. I'm all for a ok guidelines to be updated

I would like to add to this. Name PK's, in my opinion, aren't that serious anymore and one of the only times I have actually seen a PK used perfectly was when Aleks (Skela's First Character) Defected from CI to join foundation then was sending somethings to CI and was caught which resulted in a PK were he had to start from the ground up as Alek's Brother which I kinda liked the concept. Now it is just someone just going around saying I am gonna name PK you with no real reason and for the most part Admin+ shouldn't be able to approve someone they are going to PK and void pretty much any rule provided under the guidelines. With this said War Gamer has gone through probably 3-4 Name PK's by now and in my opinion that isn't really fair to him Aleks has gone through 3 as well and I get really annoyed at the fact that they are handed out like candy with no real reason that warrants a name PK. I mean I usually don't raid anymore on my Gamma Command job since I had an experience where we raided with the Commander and not even 5 minutes into the raid he gets captured and they try to name PK him. Personally, I don't want to fear for my life whenever I want to have some fun with CI members about a raid but even as an MTF or Site Admin I would fear if CI busted up in the foundation and captured me in like a second it truly isn't fun anymore with PK's being thrown everywhere.

Since yall want the guidelines changed, give me some suggestions on what to change please

also another possible solution, want me to write amnestics guidelines instead and have those be a thing so we PK names less and just start purging info?

PKs are a necessary thing when certain identities that are to remain classified are revealed. Also, if a breach of information on say a Level 5 document or use of a Level 5 room by a Level 2 Researcher. There are MANY reasons a PK is instrumental in keeping the peace with players and to enforce RP.

Edit: If you follow the rules, you shouldn't be worried about being PK'd.

I believe PKs are necessary as it provides an incentive to not act out stupidly. For the CI, I don't think CI should be held to the same standards for the PK, simce I understand its annoying since CI revolve around raiding. I believe NLR is enough for CI. This is more in part of Foundation Personnel who purposefully display idiotic behavior that doesn't really break a server rule requiring Admin Intervention, but should still be punishable.

If you truly value your life and name, them the threat of losing it should be enough to prevent illogical decisions.

it makes sense in RP for a PK

it adds a punishment that is meant to act sorta like real life. if you get firing squad-ed and you comeback the same person it doesn't make sense but if you change your name (aka new person) that fits into rp alot better.
