Lore Name: Junior Researcher Screaching

Rank: Junior Researcher

Clearance Level: 2

List of personnel Involved in testing: Screaching and Researcher OddVenom

Level D Personnel involved:3 D-class, names unknown SCP 049

Errors and/or Safety Hazards: One infected class D rampaged but was then shot to death.

Background Research: 049 presumes that he is a doctor and wants to rid the world of the pestilence. He has a cure that is biological or chemical but the specifications are unknown.

Hypothesis: SCP 049's "Cure" is a biological weapon that is altered genetically to produce the infected "zombies". Most likely a virus or bacterium as fungi are harder to transmit.

Observation: First an interview was held and several questions were asked about the essence of 049's cure. Whether it was biological or chemical, if biological were the genes of the organism altered to transmit the infection and reanimate the dead. The interview went well and many questions were asked except the specifications of the "cure". Then came the testing part. First Class D was uncooperative and proceeded to be shot to death by security escorts. Second Class D became infected and was then taken to a secure room, he was then shot to death. Last Class D became infected, however, then was cured by 049 reverting him back to normal. However, the class D was then put back in the room and infected but then started to rampage, he was then shot to death by other security personnel.

Analysis and Conclusion: 049's Cure is biological most likely a bacterium or virus as fungus infections are harder to transmit. The genes of the bacterium/virus were altered to produce the reanimated dead, however, the way how 049 can revert the "zombies" back to normal is still unknown. The way the infection is transmitted is by a syringe that is somehow always present with 049.

Do Results Align with Hypothesis: Yes, the cure is biological and has had its genes altered as it is an organism (bacterium or virus most likely).
