  1. What are you suggesting? SCP 966 has been in the server for a pretty long time and by a long time I mean 5 YEARS in these 5 years multiple Scps sweps and weapons have changed and improved, but a odd thing I have noticed is that SCP 966 is one of the only Scps that have barely been changed in any way other than minor bug fixes. Now you might be thinking that it hasnt changed at all because its simply the perfect SCP with no issues at all, which is incredibly incorrect. An example, if you run into a MTF as 966 and decide to try kill him you will die. Most Mtf carry a decent gun that does about 45 dmg a hit maybe a little less or a little more but around their, as a 966 you have 750 health, 750 divided by 45=16.66666 hits to kill a 966 which with a automatic gun wouldn't take very long and most people know this. Now we can argue that you dont have to attack this Mtf and could just attack a scientist, you could do this but eventually you would have to fight a Mtf anyways. Anything other than a Mtf like a CI, or Security, would be pretty much the same deal with their weapons varying somewhat, still no matter what combatent you are fighting you most of the time will be left at 50 hp or die. Its not always 50 hp sometimes 100 sometimes 200 still you are left near death with no way of doing anything to anyone, This is an example of hp but how much dmg does 966 do? 60 dmg a hit is his average which may seem high on paper but with a 1 seconds cooldown and it being a melee attack its really not good at all, keep in mind that this weapon is called zombie claws v2 which Scp 049-2 also have as their main weapon basically making Scp 049-2 and Scp 966 close to equals which is pretty sad as one is a zombie and another is its own Scp, from what I remember Scp 049-2 has 500 health while 966 has 750, not too big a difference but yes 966 has more health but they have the same movement speed and dmg. I can imagine someone arguing that 966 can be in group of 5s which justifies this weakness but expecting a group of 5 normally random people to have good teamwork is expecting too much. 966s normally split up after breaching and die one by one ussualy by 1 person but sometimes 2. Demanding teamwork from 966s is also tough as 966s cant even see each other because they still havent gotten built in thermals even though many people have made good points on it before, if they cant even see each other how do you expect enough teamwork to combat the 16 bullets it takes to kill you. What im getting at is that Scp 966 is incredibly weak and that your lucky to last 10 minutes if you play like your expected to [Attempting to kill anyone you run into most of the time] This Scp isnt like other scps that have some issues or are somewhat weak. Scp 966 is the weakest Scp on the roster of Scps and I think he should get either a complete rework or improve the hp and change his weapon. How would this change better the server? Scp 966 is really weak and it would help out anyone who plays it have a better time whether it be spooking people or just all out murder. Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. Other thank making Mtfs job a little harder it may strain the server a little if you were to add anything which you may not even need to do to fix these issues. Who would this change mostly benefit? People who want to play 966 but their fun gets cut short when they realise they die in 5 minutes ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Here is where im putting the edited bits I may continue to edit over time with newer edits.] For the reworked hp I would imagine that a balenced amount would be about 1500-3100 giving the 966 as a player an enjoyable time as you wont die too fast with this hp but its not like your invincible aswell and you have to plan out your attacks, the people shooting at 966 will know to be a little more carefull around him and not go in guns blazing due to his low health. You may dislike this hp because its too high and it on paper to someone may seem op but 966 is a melee silent killer so hes not very strong in close combat against people who know what their doing or just people with guns in general, having this hp balences out that negative. For his new weapon however, after multiple hours of looking and testing I figured this one right here would be perfect:https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2774889731&insideModal=0&requirelogin=1 I dont know its exact dmg but it has a faster attack speed along with the ability to see other 966s without needing thermals which is a HUGE dealbreaker for some people. Now 966 could look at his fellows and have better teamwork along with not accidentaly slapping your friend across the room. Along with a taunting ability for some lols this Swep is just perfect in my opinion. This swep gives 966 his own unique way of scaring people which is something it really is missing as a scp in the server. Hopefully you like the swep as much as I do, If you need me to add anything else just comment and I got it. As for the sweps accessibility it can be configured to your liking if you need it to work with thermals [Obviously] and if it doesnt already you may configure it to your liking. This does not mean that you cant do another swep just change the zombie claws v2 into something stronger or faster, its just that this swep does both and solves the issue of 966 not being able to see each other. The Hp that I put as minimum imo is the best option for a minimum as a buff, but if you want to go higher which I dont think many people would mind, 2000 or 2300 would be good aswell. I put 3100 as a max but I dont think anyone will want that much hp for it, not like 966 doesnt need it but lots of people may complain if hes buffed to 3100 not that I would mind. Most likely my finale edit, was incorrect on scp 049-2s hp I thought it was 500 but it seems it was 1000. This doesnt make the case of 966 being weak any better as the zombies have more hp.
  2. Hello everyone I am here to suggest a grand fun addition for the sever adding new jobs and additional gameplay for are lovely d block ladies and gentlemen ! I call it " PIZZA PALOOZA™ " A grand place where all go have fun following this grand epic addition adds new gameplay experience for all containing many arcade games and card based games with this we have arcade staff as well as cooks for are lovely state of the art pizza kitchen ! With this I hope to bring many others together and feel like they have more reason to want to stay and have fun I also forgot to mention with this a prize stand would be lovely with many different small prizes so everyone has a goal to reach and a big goal with a hugegrand prize !!!!

What are you suggesting? - For a searching option to be added to the MOTD's of all servers, as in Search>106>Everything about 106 is pulled up/The specific region where the rules about 106 is shown How would this change better the server? - Sits and sit disputes will be around what, x300 times faster. New members of the community are less likely to break rules when they have the option to search for rules regarding their current jobs. Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. - Not exactly, but, this could warrant pretty heavy coding. Who would this change mostly benefit? - Everyone. What you want to see? - Custom Clan/ Family (custom class families) death matches: ALL FAMILY DEATH MATCHES MUST BE FOUGHT USING PAID WHITELIST (WL) FOR SPECIFIC FAMILY (Example BWA WL VS UMC WL). 1. If a family is declaring war on another family they must officially post this on the forums (make a new forum for this called "family wars" or just allow them to post under general). 2. If the war persist past 5 days, one of Families owner must post either a stalemate, surrender, defeat, or a truce to end the war. 3. If both families accept one of these conditions this treaty will last at minimum 7 days (can still kidnap, mug, etc. other family just the "war" is over and they cannot do mass attacks/raids/ambushes etc.). 4. if one family does not agree to said conditions then the disagreeing families owner must submit a formal Death Match request in the forums. (Submitall of a death match automatically requires a stalemate between both parties). The owner of the family receiving the request must reply to said request within 3 days or admit defeat and end said war. 5. If both families agree to deathmatch a stalemate will be created and one of the families must contact "Event admin" to set up a blocked off area on the map where the families can do said death match. The death match works as such... 6. One family must be left standing. Even if it is just one single person who survived the death match. The losing family must admit defeat and there will be a buffer window of when the next war can be issued for both families towards anyone on the server (2 weeks). The losing families faction is also deleted (to include money in there faction and items and ranking) and must be recreated if the family wishes to do so. 6.1 (my original plan for losing the war is that families whitelist will be removed as the family is RP killed. If the owner wants to restart the family the owner must pay half the cost of a CC whitelist slot for each member they want to "revive". In the event the last family member wants to save the family faction they must surrender before being killed. The opposing family does not have to agree with the surrender and can instead kill said family. If the opposing family agrees to the surrender they are only allowed to take up to $5 million in the losing families faction, including all weapons, but they must allow that family member to live. The sole survivor will keep their white list on custom class/clan however every other person must still pay half the price of CC/Custom Clans in order to receive the whitelist for that specific family again. They are still allowed to RP in that custom family but cannot play on a custom character/custom clan for that family until they repurchase the whitelist. But that just seems too complicated leave a comment if this sounds better). 7. Only each family head can declare war formally. Once war is declared and over each family must respect the outcome of an honorable battle. There will be no toxicity coming from the winning or losing family towards each other anywhere on gaming light. If the losing family wants a rematch they must wait the 2 weeks and then request a war with said family. The family has the right to reject the war if they so please. In the event the families HAVE gone to war and there is still toxicity ADMINS should handle as per MOTD. In the event the families do not have the death match and there is still toxic activities ADMINS can handle as per MOTD. In the event either family is violating MOTD before during or after the Death Match that family will admit defeat (but will not have faction deleted) and will be dealt with by ADMINS in accordance with MOTD, and there will be no war. 8. In the event of a family death match an "audience" can view the battle from the sky but cannot interfere with said battle at all. The members of the audience can place bets of which specific family member will be the last one standing. The best have a minimum of $1 million dollars. If no one won the bet the money will be handled the same way it is handled by the SMT Store. If there is an audience it will be of no more than 10 people so first come first served. Those who wish to be in the audience must make it known on the forums under the topic of the family deathmatch. Once a the audience has been chosen there are no take backs. Once a bet has been placed there are no refunds. At no time will a member of either family be in the audience. Members of the audience will be muted in chat so as to make the opportunity for each family fair. They will be allowed to voice chat in the audience stands. Members of the audience cannot be on any GOV job (as to not interfere with the RP). Audience members must submit payment before the battle in order to view it. The Audience is a neutral zone so no weed growing, money printers, weapons, etc. allowed. Why should we add it? - To help curb toxic situation that is harmful to other players (I.E never ending family wars that make players not want to play anymore). What are the advantages of having this? - Provides opportunity families to dispute differences or end them without the need for ADMIN direct input (admin sits, family disrespect, etc.), Imbeds the foundation of solving issues as an adult and limits the spread of toxicity in the server. Removes the stress added on the police force by a never ending "family war". Who is it mainly for? - Criminal families, custom class families, custom clans Links to any content - N/A I encourage everyone to read through this and make suggestions/point out the flaws in this idea to make it better.

What you want to see? - A news reporter/camera man Job Why should we add it? - Now before you say that players may use this to minge I would like to add that it could be a whitelisted/donator/train to get type of job so not just anyone could get it, because most likely people would abuse this and minge if that were the case. I think it be fun to add a little drama into the mix of things. What do you want to see?: Time played jobs Why should we add it?: I had an idea that is similar to the level jobs we have currently it is to where there are also time played jobs that basically the only way to access them is to either play on the server or AFK. Was just an idea to possibly encourage people to AFK more and to play more. And to note not everyone has IQ or RG to afk levels so this will give players who don’t have access to that to have something extra to use. job ideas: these are just ideas I had job 1 time required 1 week demo expert possibly the old 31st model? kit: explosive charge, heavy shield TL-40 , SE14c Job 2 Time required 2 weeks: Probe droid. Not sure if there is a model. Kit: DT-12 Main purpose used to scour for the empire possibly during events could be used to scout around before an assault is mounted. Job 3 Time required 5 weeks Gen 3 dark trooper. Kit: Some kind of LMG possibly M-45? DT-12 possibly a rocket launcher? Main purpose be armor support for our troopers on the ground. What are the advantages of having this?: better server rating more stuff for all players Who is it mainly for?: the players who haven’t donated yet or are unable to. What are you suggesting? - Hazardous Materials Researchers are currently immune to the SCP-008 virus and wear a full military grade hazmat suit and breathing apparatus so it would make sense if this provided at least some protection from SCP-610 infection. Currently HMR's can be infected instantly like anyone else. They should either entirely immune/not allowed to be turned, or take multiple hits to be infected (so a larger group of 610 instances could turn the HMR in rp it would be like them ripping up the hazmat suit). How would this change better the server? - It would be much more realistic and would provide more incentive for people to apply for HMR. Would also prove useful for HMR's testing with 610. Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. - The only disadvantage would be making SCP-610 slightly less powerful, although this isn't much of an issue as HMR is a specialized class that not many people are frequently on. Who would this change mostly benefit? - HMR's and research. HMR's would be more realistic and useful for testing and would be more protecting during breaches. Would also potentially provide a boost in HMR numbers in research and better branch cooperation between combatant branches and research. What are you suggesting? - I have an idea for a new class or rank that you can be trained for called "Emergency Researcher" where researchers can go out during defcon 3-2 to prevent other scps from breaching and making the situation worse. I have seen plenty of times while playing being stuck inside research bunks while more and more scps advert to escape, and im not able to prevent them from breaching. (Open to suggestions) How would this change better the server? - It would allow researchers to prevent the facility from falling into more chaos and becoming worse for everyone. Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? Why should we add this SCP?: I believe you should add this SCP because this is quite a popular SCP that many players are familiar with. Players would have barely any problem adjusting to the addition of this SCP for this reason. This SCP would grant an enormous amount of testing potential, and would give Researchers something entirely new to RP with. Additionally, this would allow for some of the empty containment cells to in HCZ or LCZ to house a new SCP and begin to fill the empty cells. In my opinion, there is more RP research potential with this SCP than many other SCPs if it were to be added to the server. This would also allow for a new SCP for CI to steal from the Foundation. As long as the Insurgent wearing the glasses does not make contact with the SCP/NPC, then they can safely steal the SCP for testing. CI RND can therefore also benefit from the addition of this SCP as RND would be able to conduct feasible tests and proceed to sell the SCP back to the foundation. Finally, I believe that this SCP holds incredible cross-test potential, and would greatly impact both Research and CI RND, while also affecting the server as a whole. It would allow players to have a new and fresh SCP experience, providing something fun and exciting that all players can enjoy once the level requirement has been reached. 6. Basic summary of the SCP: SCP-178 is a pair of 3D glasses that, when worn, will make the wearer able to see creatures from a supposed "separate dimension". These creatures (SCP-178-1, SCP-178-2, etc.) will become extremely hostile towards the wearer if any contact is made between them, whether verbal or physical. This will almost always result in the death of the individual who has made contact with one of the instances. This death is caused by severe lacerations that will show up on the individuals body following contact with an instance. - http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-178 7. Extra information: You can drop the glasses by typing "drop178" in the console. The glasses will need to respawn after a couple seconds on its stand after the wearer has been killed and the glasses are on the floor. I believe that SCP-714 functions this way in game but I am unsure. Recommended area of containment: One of the empty glass chambers in Lower Heavy Containment Zone. Use the SCP-966 Invisibility swep so it can stay invisible until the wearer puts on the glasses. For RP purposes and functionality of the SCP in relation to the server, it will uncloak to thermals. Use the Zombie Claws weapon as their primary attack method. Recontainment Method: Termination through the utilization of thermals. Level Requirement: 40+ (Players need to be familiar and experienced with RP. Jobs: 2 (One for each playermodel, also similar to that of the 939s) Job Slots: 1 each. This SCP is sort of a mix between 939 and 966. Idea for the self-breaching process: SCP-178-1 may request 1 D Class every 20 minutes. If there are 2 instances, they may request 2 D Class every 15 minutes. Must advert in 5 minute increments. Self breaching process can be halted if provided with the respective quantity of D Class.

Extra information: To my knowledge, the NPC is capable of noclipping through doors. This may only apply to certain maps and I am unaware if it will function on the Gaminlight Site 05 custom map. If it is possible, it will need to be prevented from clipping through certain doors so it can stay within a set perimeter and Research tests that include D Class can flow properly. You can drop the glasses by typing "drop178" in the console. The glasses will need to respawn after a couple seconds on its stand after the wearer has been killed and the glasses are on the floor. I believe that SCP-714 functions this way in game but I am unsure. Recommended area of containment: one of the empty glass chambers in Lower Heavy Containment Zone.

What you want to see? - I would like to see a drone detachment added to FBI for aerial reconnaissance Why should we add it? - It would add to the long list that sets Gaminglight apart from other PoliceRP servers. It could also benefit the server by intriguing people to donate in order to get access to these drones. What are the advantages of having this? - It would give the FBI a leading edge against crime and crime families by using drones to see: what agents could be up against in an upcoming raid, if the house has any printers or illegal items in the backyard so that agents aren't wasting their time on meaningless raids, give base builders more incentive to add ceilings to their backyards and to be more vigilant while doing illegal activities.   13. What you want to see?: I wanna see a small change to the SOP Requiring Senior Medics+ (Senior Field Medic/Senior Surgeons) to join the teamspeak when they get Trained/Promoted. How will this Benefit us?: More communication between the medics only and between Field Medics in d-block and Surgeons in Medbay. Aswell as just overall having more of our branch be more vocal with each other and say for example if security needed a field medic they could pop down into the channel and talk to us about sending one to d-block. All of this could be done in game but We have a teamspeak channel why dont we use it! Extra: I feel like aswell as having the Seniors be in the TS it could allow them to have easy access to command and other branches so they can ask questions without having to go through the trouble of finding them in game. Think of all the Benefits we would have. There is also a possibility this could spread to Janitorial and Technical so we can bring more life into all our TS channels.
  14. I want to start this thread off by saying I have nothing but utter respect for the SMT and every single member of this community. Gaminglight Policerp is an excellent server, and one that I have come back to year after year. I also wanted to clarify that I have no right, nor intention, to speak on the difficulty of implementing new features on servers, as I have never worked on a Garry's Mod server. This post is not to be taken as an attack- rather, I would like for those who read this to take this as a piece of constructive criticism. With that in mind, there are a few things I felt needed to be said. Reading through the suggestions forums, it has come to my attention that our community's suggestions are indeed heard and accepted, but rarely applied. I know I am not alone in saying that I feel my voice is not heard when my suggestion is marked as "accepted" and then not days, not weeks, but months pass and they have still not been implemented. I have been semi-active on the suggestions portion of this forum since the summer, and the ratio of suggestions approved to suggestions implemented within that timeframe has been- from what I've seen- astonishingly low. Everything from a simple civilian chef job to my own suggestion of a drug dealer job have been sitting "approved" for a long, long time, and there is no end in sight. Now, as I have said earlier, I have no right nor intention say that this is the SMT's fault in any way, shape or form. Though it *could* be an issue of lack of work ethic or motivation, I sincerely hope and doubt that this is the case on the part of the SMT. This being said, I thought it my responsibility as a member of the Gaminglight community to bring to light these concerns that I have seen not only in myself, but also in my peers and my friends. Again, I wanted to end this off by emphasizing I have nothing but respect for the SMT and those responsible for keeping the server running. This post was not meant to be inflammatory or offensive in any way, and I just hope that it inspires change, if change is needed, within the server's management.
