Background Research: SCP-049 is a humanoid entity, roughly 1.9 meters in height, which bears the appearance of a medieval plague doctor. SCP-049 was instructed to walk into SCP-020s PBHTA and stand on the eastern wall, SCP-049 complied but stayed as far away from SCP-020s vial as he could. Evidence/Visual Stimuli: Below Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): This is mostly unknown due to the prayer but the way that SCP-049 acted in the first 30 minutes of the test was as if SCP-049 was "scared" at the presence of SCP-020. In the last 20 minutes it is believed that he had "Cured" SCP-020 through an unknown means and had stated that attending Researchers/Security were infected. All attending staff and SCP-049 were cleared of SCP-020 at the end of the test. Background Research: Small amount of SCP-008 (Gaseous Form) was released into a Biohazard Containment Chamber where SCP-049 was. SCP-049 immediately fell to the floor and had a small seizure. SCP-049 then sat in the eastern corner for 3 hours while decontaminating. Hypothesis: When SCP-049 is exposed to SCP-008 he will fall to the floor and have a grand mal seizure hopefully resulting in his termination. Observations (What Happened During Test): SCP-049 walked into SCP-008s Containment Chamber and started coughing as if something was choking him. Once fully inside SCP-008s Containment Chamber SCP-049 went to the furthest corner from SCP-008s Containment Pipe and sat down. SCP-008s Containment Lid was opened remotely resulting in SCP-049 getting up and trying to force SCP-008s Containment Lid down to no success. Background Research: SCP-049 reacted happily to Researchers due to them being "Doctors" and was furthermore excited when Researchers were polite to SCP-049. Hypothesis: SCP-049 will have a short conversation with the D-Class and SCP-049 will hopefully believe that the D-Class is a doctor and possibly even "Test" with the D-Class on a corpse. Observations (What Happened During Test): SCP-049 went to the northern side of the CC and glanced at D-183723 then pacing the room. D-183723 was instructed to speak to SCP-049 in a polite manner and to act as if he were a doctor. D-183723 greeted SCP-049 and approached him saying that he was a doctor. D-183723 was instructed to back up from SCP-049 in which he stopped walking and looked around SCP-049s CC. The corpse of D-173627 was wheeled into SCP-049s CC and SCP-049 was allowed to "Test" on D-173627s corpse and use D-183723 as an assistant. Name: Researcher Dmitri Sourkraut Rank: Researcher Idea: This is a simple test to see if SCP-049 is affected by SCP-1025's effects, if not, then a interview will be done with SCP-049 in an attempt to identify what the "pestilence" it always talks about is, and if it is a actual disease or some sort of SCP-049's philosophy based around a persons morals when it comes to science and medicine. Background Research: SCP-049 takes the form of a medieval plague doctor that wishes to destroy an unknown disease it has names the "pestilence", if it is even a disease at all. SCP-049 has had interviews done with it before, on behalf of the late Dr. Raymond Hamm, and it has never actually told of symptoms related to the "pestilence", which this test will hopefully give to us. Hypothesis: I honestly have no damn clue what will happen here, this is just to see if we can gain any knowledge at all on the "pestilence", but if I had to guess I would say that due to the fact that SCP-049 is a humanoid and can read English that whatever disease it does read it has a high chance to contract. Observations: A D-Class personnel was used identify a non-lethal, easily cured disease that SCP-049 could read without the worries of being terminated from SCP-1025's effects. After a first D-Class had contracted the well known Stone Man Disease/Syndrome, a second D-Class was able to identify a page with the common cold, and used a bookmark in order to know which page to turn to when given to SCP-049. After the initial identification of a clear SCP-1025 page, MTF escorted me and a Senior Researcher Brigand to SCP-049's Containment Cell. Upon arrival, we simply opened the door and handed the book to SCP-049 with two MTF guns raised up to him so that no breach would happen (We did not need a D-Class for this due to the fact that SCP-049 does not identify researchers as having the pestilence, therefore making it safe to do transactions such as this without D-Class). After reading the marked page in SCP-1025, SCP-049 started coughing and said it had a sore throat, to which common medicine was given to SCP-049. SCP-049 handed the book back through its containment cell door and the test was concluded with SCP-1025 being returned to its containment. Conclusion: Well crap, I guess we have to try and get information the old fashioned way by interviews and a bit of speculation, maybe even bribery by giving SCP-049 more test subjects if need be. At least we learned that SCP-049 is affected by SCP-1025's effects, and we should be careful of what we expose SCP-049 to in the future, if this was simply done by giving SCP-049 SCP-1025 then telling it to just read pages we would have to be updating its class from Euclid to Neutralized. Thanks to our precautions, we were able to avoid such a fate, however I will say that it is disappointing to see that SCP-1025 can not be utilized in any ongoing research into the supposed "pestilence" SCP-049 keeps talking about, nor what its cure is suppose to do, I will continue testing on SCP-049 until I can get a definitive answer on the subject. Background Research: SCP-049, A plague doctor in appearance. He holds a "curing" hand that when it touches you, you become "cured". SCP-049 even goes as far as to turn some into zombie-like creatures. Hypothesis: If the conversation goes well, perhaps we could have more information at our disposal as to what SCP-049 is or even what the plague it refers to is and how we could even combat the plague. The following is what occurs during this experiment I conducted. The test starts off by informing SCP-049 as to what is going to occur. SCP-049 appears pleased with the fact that they will partake in conversation (This interest and even joy is something of note). I had a guard open the door to SCP-049's chamber. I then sent in D-Class "Aggressive" Steve, Steve began a conversation with SCP-049 by asking him a few starter questions to lighten the mood. The discussion will be displayed below. It could really help out the foundation, they could possibly even assist you in your task. P - The plague is the plague and I have the cure. I am going to cure you. - The D-Class begins to run around the chamber in a vain attempt to escape. He is of course "cured" and become one of the mindless drones that SCP-049 is quite fond of making. - - Having learned all we could, the guard eliminated the "zombie" and we ended the test. - Analysis/Conclusion: While we haven't learned much from SCP-049 we have learned a fair amount of information that brings us one step closer to understanding him and even the plague he talks about.
