Guard: i don't think the scp has ears. SCP 173 begins to take a look at 1048. Scp 173 is confused because he has never seen scp 1048 before but he has also never attempted to snap scp 1048s neck yet either it is because scp 1048 is to short or scp 173 doesn't want to. Scp 173 makes a dash back from the door and looks at 1048 from the corner of the wall. Dr.kris: Scp 173 seems like he's struggling. SCP 173 tries to break the upper window but failed as he tried to make another dash accept he's focus on the two men who are watching him that is dr.kris and the guard this time. Dr.kris he's focus on us. Scp 1048 just sits down and watch on the floor as he sees scp 173 dash at dr.kris and the guard Dr.kris close the window doors for 2 minutes. the guard closes the window doors. and all the two men can hear is sounds from the containment chamber. SOUND LOG: There is drilling sounds inside of the containment chamber after the guard closed the windows. Dr.kris: do NOT open the door I don't want a breach to happen Everyone in the room can hear it now, it sounds like they're were punching sounds inside of the containment chamber and it was really loud it sounds if like scp 173 was trying to break out again to escape from 1048. Dr.kris: alright have a timer setup for putting it for 2 minutes then re-opening the glass windows again to see how they're doing. A knife as if it was just scrapping on the wall was the sound that was also heard as if scp 173 moved again. Then dirt sounds were also heard inside of the containment chamber. Dr.kris: ok we have 8 seconds left then 1 minute then after that open it back up and we will see how the two scps are doing. SCP LOG: Dr.kris: the timer is up please open the door back up. Both of the doors seem to be open up on the window but the 2 of the scps that were in there looks like it wasn't none of the scps were seen after the doors on the windows were open. Dr.kris: looks around from the uptop to see if he can see any of them. Dr.kris where are they? Dr.kris sees scp 173 and right when dr.kris sees him scp 173 dashes at the window again like he did before. Dr.kris: okay so scp 173 is in there but where is scp 1048? Scp 173 is in the corner of the containment chamber righter after he dashed at the upper window. Dr.kris and the guard sees scp 1048 crawling towards scp 173. SCP 173 makes another dash at the upper window. After scp 173 did that scp 1048 sits down again. Scp 1048 while sitting down is looking at scp 173. And scp 1048 always seeming to go near scp 173 scp 173 runs away as if scp 173 was scared of scp 1048 Scp 1048 is crawling to his corner again like he did before and scp 173 and scp 1048 are next to eachother. Scp 1048 is in his corner now and scp 173 is on the wall right next to his corner. And neither of them are attacking eachother. Dr.kris:scp 173 seems to be focused on on us. dr.kris:okay test over. Background Research: As far as we know, SCP 1048 seems to understand what we say to it, depending what questions we ask, of course, he remains silent, maybe because it doesn't understand the question or it denies to respond. It also knows how to draw, and shows affection, meaning that SCP 1048 has feelings or perhaps mimics them. What I’m teaching/testing: I'm going to test multiple things: 1: SCP 1048's capable to read, if it knows how to read, that means he's way more intelligent than we expected. 2: In case 1 is true, learn if SCP 1048 is affected by SCP 1025's symptoms and how SCP 1048 reacts to it. Observation: I've spent 15 minutes with SCP 1048 explaining that if it knows by all means how to read, nod one time, or if it doesnt know, nod 2 times, but it just stared looking at me. When I pointed SCP 1048 to read SCP 1025, it looked at me, I don't know how to say, but I think he was mocking at me. Anyway, the second time I asked it to read, SCP 1048 dragged the book, and stared at SCP 1025 for 10 minutes. I asked SCP 1048 if it read and nod 2 times (No). I tried again , but this time I gave SCP 1048 the prescription glasses and then again it began the second attempt to read. I let SCP 1048 15 more minutes than before, and after I asked SCP 1048 and again, it nod 2 times, to my surprise and sorrow. Conclusion: It seems that SCP 1048 doesn't know how to read, or maybe, it doesn't want to let us know that it knows how to read, thinking that maybe we'll take higher measures, or who knows what SCP 1048 thinks...
