Since 3/26/21 Why Do You Want To Become An Officer? [150+ Words] I want to become an Inferno squad Officer because I really like Inferno Squad I believe its one of the best battalions I have joined in a long time. Becoming an Officer would allow me to bring more to Inferno than before. This would be my first time Being an officer on GL and I feel this experience would be amazing for me. I want to become an officer so i can lead and make Inferno Squad be the best it can and one of the most Serious regiments on the server. I want oversee how NCO are leading and teaching the new enlisted. I can teach NCO's how to do the best tryouts and be a good example and leader. Being a Inferno Squad officer would be an awesome experience and I really want to see Inferno succeed. How could you assist Inferno Squad Command with this rank? [75+ Words] I would start off by promoting activity amongst the NCO/Enlisted teams, as they are the 2 most important teams in a Battalion. I would do SIMS with GM's and make Sure the NCO's are doing Tryouts. I would not stop doing tryouts cause NCO's can help and watch my tryouts and learn from them. Most people learn by example not words. Inferno Squad is a SeriousRP regiment and it says it on our tryout document, yet i barely see any RP with Inferno, we just kill thing. I would promote and do RP with the NCO's and Enlisted teach them how to extract data in RP, Planting Bombs, Hacking and other RP things. I would monitor the enlisted to make sure they are in check and not being mingy. I would help Inferno with everything I have and make sure we can be the example of the best squad on the server. Why do you want to be a Commander of this branch? I want to be the Commander of Inferno Squad because I believe I can help our current Commander (Drayton) run, manage, and improve the Inferno Squad battalion thrive to a sufficient standard. I believe I can help with any problems that may occur inside and outside of the battalion whether that be with Reserves, Transfers, Battalion-High Command relations and Battalion-Battalion relations. Furthermore, I would like to bring help further improve the Inferno Squad member's experience more than I have already as a whole especially by improving the communication from within the Battalion. Moreover, I want to be Commander is because I genuinely enjoy being in the Battalion, I am passionate, and active. Doing missions, try-outs, SIMs, and participating in events alongside my fellow Inferno Squad. I believe all of these things help the to Battalion grow and improve. I want to be Commander of this branch so I can make sure it continues on and improves on the path it currently is on, because we have an active command team, excellent officers, and good NCO's however nothing is perfect so if i were a Commander, I would do my best to make sure that the VCMDR's are looking after the officers and making sure they are doing their job right because I know that they aren't always as serious as they should be. I want to make sure that the Battalion stays as a respectable and liked Battalion as best as I can, one way I can achieve this is by becoming Commander , I can work with the Command team to bring updates to the battalion to make sure it stays "fresh" to players inside IF and make sure Officers and VCMDR's are setting a good example daily as well as, helping Drayton in his work making things way more efficient. I believe that if I make things more efficient as a Commander I could improve everyone's experience, both in and out of RP and both in and out of IF. 4. How much game time do you have on the server? (Due to me changing my name battle metrics says I have multiple accounts) based off the tab menu I have 12 weeks+ 5. What is the Main Purpose of a commander for a branch? The Main purpose for a Commander is to make sure the Vice Commanders are doing their job and behaving and to make sure they are active and responsible as this sets a example for Officers, which then has a positive Domino-Effect to the NCO's Another purpose of the Commander is to make sure the battalion is in order an example would be to make sure roster is updated correctly as this makes sure no mistakes happen, and to makes sure the battalion is active. Ways to do this are: 1. To be active yourself because when people see the commander is online it usually inspires them hop on because it could lead to a promotion or a fun activity, 2. Enforce activity through announcements, try-outs and sometimes bigger SIMs with more activities to do and to be done. 3. The commander can do a roll call to clear out inactive people and create free slots for new people to join the battalion and keep us, Inferno Squad always growing. The final purpose of a Commander is to get criticism from outside battalions or inside the battalion to assess what needs changing / fixing inside the battalion and make sure the VCMDRs are communicating with members to let them know that they do have a voice and an input for the Battalion's future and that everyone is valued and important. 6. Why should we trust you to be a commander? : You should trust me to be a Commander as I have had previous Commander experience (I was the Commander of Imperial Commandos) I know how to behave and conduct myself, And I know what to do to fix and manage a battalion. Another reason you should trust me, is over my 1 Year on Gaming Light I have never got a warn on Imperial RP or any other Gaming Light Gmod server or affiliated server, showing I know the rules and how to abide by them. Finally you should trust me to be a Commander because I have worked alongside Drayton in the past, so we know how to work well as a team, have good synergy, and have built a good working relationship with each other which would help strengthen the already strong command team. 7. I want to become an officer because I believe that I could do more to help the battalion as an officer. right now, i think that i do a lot for the battalion, and i have a lot of fun doing such. I enjoy having the leadership role and responsibilities it carries. i have been in a power situation before so i would say i know what i'm doing. I hope to make a fun and enjoyable experience for all of the Deputy Agents, Junior Agents, Agents etc. as well as make a good name with the rest of the GamingLight community. I wouldn't mind helping out Rupert and the other leads of this battalion wherever needed, as well as to make their jobs easier. Since there is no officers to help out Inferno Command I feel like it would be a good opportunity to prove that I could be useful to the battalion in many ways that command sees fit. This is not how I would have wished to resign from ID10 and possibly the GL imperial server as a hole but it feels more and more like I am being forced to do this by SMT and HC. As of 3:32 PM EST on 11/5/20 High command has come to me with no prior messages to tell me I am being removed due to my inability to be on the server 3 times a week. I know commanders need to be active on the server but I was never informed that we need to be on and I quote, “On a minimum of 3 times a week.” Between me being a college student having a full time job and apprenticing for a skilled trade I don't have time unless I afk on the server to join the server 3 times a week. My recommendation to HC and SMT is Communicate with Command team members. Not once was I told my activity was pore and that I need to get on or be removed, I don't have a command strike for inactivity, and after I was informed of this decision I was told, “This is final you can not argue this.” I never showed my side and none of my VCMDRs were questioned either. SMT and HC besides Blizzard, Luci, Stone, and Hobbs at the end have all refused to communicate with me throughout all of this. I understand you might think you're doing the best for the server but not even attempting to try and talk to that command member is what will kill battalions and the server. I do wish you guys the best and hope the server keeps doing well and gets more players. At this time do to me feeling as if I am being targeted and or ignored by a majority of HC and SMT I will be taking a break from the Imperial GL server. If it was not for Inferno squad I would have left the server and possibly GL due to how this was handled. This is not how members of a gamming community that has been here for over 2 years now should feel, If I truly did something wrong such as racism, Mass RDM, Impersonation of staff, or hacking then I would understand but this feels like being kicked in the gut and told to leave. Inferno squad: IF Hask does not get better and learns to hold his tongue you guys need to beat him now that I cant. The main purpose of a commander isn't to break his neck trying to stress out over his battalion to make it picture perfect. The main purpose of a commander is to do his best, to make his battalion as the best as it physically can. It is the Commander's job to take up responsibility and to do his best to make sure his battalion isn't rotten, or decayed for a hole. A commander's job is to also try to make their battalion picture perfect. They shouldn't be stressing over every little detail. Their job is to guide their battalion to be as great as it can be. If they try to aim too high, then they're doing their job wrong for their battalion becomes as high and as mighty as their aspirations lead. These high aspirations then turn into overconfidence and cockiness which drives people away from the battalion, and the server overall through negative experiences. A Commander's purpose is to guide their regiment, and be willing to make firm, and decisive decisions for the betterment of their regiment. 6. Why should we trust you to be a commander? : You should trust me as a Commander, because I'm mature enough to understand that being inactive was bad, and the separation that I had from the server made me somewhat homesick for it. Bolstering my once lacking motivation to a sensation that I only had in the beginning of the server. I won't purposefully ever break away from the server. The only times when I won't be able to play is if I'm literally sick in bed, the hospital, or physically incapable of speaking. Much like I was throughout the entirety of my LOA & General sickness. How often can you be Online? : 2-9 hours a day, depending on if it's a Weekday, if this Corona Virus thing keeps happening, and if I'm continually motivated for the server. Maybe even longer. But I have a life, despite that, I will balance the server and my life out. If it's not an absolute necessity for me to be on the server, then I won't be on the server. If I'm having fun and just chilling, then I'll be on the server, chilling, doing trainings, etc. It just depends on how much Inferno's happening, if there's any interesting Roleplay,etc. 8.
