    Warn Appeal

I was warned by SRT Co Commander MiKeY 1K85 for violating fear rp during a foot pursuit on 12/6/2019. Reason being? I did not stop whilst running from about a dozen officers, half firing tazers and missing, and the other half sprinting with rifles across the map. Now you may look at this and think, that I may have just stated a proper reason behind the warn, but that would be incorrect if we're using the gaminglight rules on the forums. The crucial bit about this is this little line, " respond to situations like you would in real life" this mean that if you're unarmed, or are a distance away with somebody with a firearm, and you lack any weapon or defense capable of defeating that firearm, you must comply. However, this situation, although by far not unique, deserves attention, as I believe the rules are there to be rules, plain and simple. However, let's add a little context, I was in a stolen sports car driving from diner to the main street on the map, I was doing a little over 30mph, when an unknown high ranking officer in a green uniform, and body armor pulled out the half life 2 rpg, and sprinted towards my vehicle. As you all hopefully are aware, the RPG model in game is the scripted tool used to break down doors and force all players out of a vehicle. Now ignoring the fact that nearly all civilian vehicles in the North American and European markets have automatically locking doors while the vehicle is in motion, and ignoring the failrp of that act entirely, you have a now wanted felon, being chased by law enforcement. Let's put yourself in his position, his life is over essentially. If he is arrested, he is going to be charged with grand theft auto, and a handful of traffic felonies. This means that to this guy, his life is over unless he gets away. Hence beginning a foot pursuit. Within about a minute of running, the majority of the populated server's law enforcement, were active in a foot pursuit. This involved more than a dozen missed tasers, two awp shots, and finally, after attempting to reenter the original vehicle, which was automatically locked after the scripted tool removes everybody from the vehicle, Commander MiKeY made a successful hit with a taser. And after a few polite he made, and a few perfect awp shots down the street immediately after sprinting for a few minutes, he gave me a swift warning of FeaRP. A few minutes later, I was moved from the street in front of the diner to the PD garage, and after another few minutes finally booked. Now, this add one more bit of information, the law enforcement are based off American law enforcement, and the server roughly uses American laws. In the United States, law enforcement cannot open fire on a suspect for running away, however, they can use non lethal measures such as the taser. Knowing this piece of information, has lead to tens of thousands of instances where law enforcement engage an unarmed suspect fleeing on foot. Hundreds have escaped, thousands have not. Had this not have been the case, for instance, in many foreign countries in which law enforcement has the full legal right to use deadly force against fleeing suspects in every situation, then this would be a more believable violation of FearRP, granted the majority of those countries' prison systems are essentially death sentences every time. Essentially, there was no real fear in this situation, except of law enforcement catching me, and the consequences of that.
