I think it might be ok to require staff to have proof for appeals, but requiring players to have the evidence, in my opinion, is too much. Not everyone that joins the server has the space for it, but you can make recording a requirement for staff.

Gaminglight SchoolRP just happened to be the first Garry's Mod server I stumbled upon way back in late 2014.
