  1. -Support I understand this would add more roleplay/activity to DOC however it isn't a PrisonRP server. And adding it could cause increased server lag with the extra NPCs etc.
  2. From reading this the warn for player dis is justified Foo you admitted to insulting him and stated you accept responsibility for that which would be the warn. However spawning one solar panel is hardly prop minge and basing a warn off one spawned solar panel in the logs doesn't seem right, as you don't know the intention but spawning multiple would be obvious. I also don't understand why Foo would be jailed for player diss and spawning a solar panel? Jailing is not meant for something that's punishment is a warning/gag/mute. Prop Minge is using props with malice it is not staff discretion to make a coin flip call to decide if someone used a prop with bad intentions. Apart of staffing is collecting evidence of the accusations made against a player and using previous knowledge and potentially video evidence to make an educated decision. I think the sit should have been handled differently for certain, and a better understanding of how to make unbiased/factual punishment's be taught. In my opinion multiple mistakes were made on the staff members side. (But it is a warn appeal) -Support for Player Dis +Support for Prop Minge/Being jailed for 300s Looking at the facts- Foo admitted to player dis (up to staff to give a warning or not)(Not jailing)(Gag/Mute in certain circumstances) Foo claimed the Prop was spawned accidentally, No evidence of it being spawned with malice or intentionally.(Could be a warn but not enough evidence also claimed to be unintentional)(Not jailing unless extreme circumstance)

  4. As long as the sign was "clearly visible" which mostly pertains to the size and coloring of the sign you would be fine. Also if I remember correctly all bases property lines end at the side walk or a reasonable location between. That picture you posted would be reasonable for a KOS sign, and yes adverting "Warning 1/2/3 leave or be killed" for example is another way to not break the MOTD however having a KOS sign is all you need.

Personally If I was a staff member and received the sit I wouldn't have given you a warning(if you did get one) I would've just corrected your base if it was incorrect technically you need a KOS sign displayed. However it is also technically under the general rules of RP that you would defend your home(base) against intruders. It would really be up to the discretion of the staff member whether you were right or wrong because it could be argued both ways. Its not like you mass RDM'd or disrupted other users RP seems like you killed the person that raided you and they got upset and were looking for compensation. In my opinion its kind of a grey area because the MOTD clearly states a KOS sign is required(not sure if you had one). However it also declares to treat RP as if it were real life so realistically people defend their homes from intruders frequently IRL. If I had taken the sit I would've verified you had a KOS sign displayed in the occasion you didn't I would have asked you to display one. But this also has been a topic of controversy over the years with different JMT/SMT members having different opinions regarding the matter. (In the past I have asked numerous JMT/SMT all with different opinions.) Option 1: No KOS sign you kill the person raiding you get warned for RDM for not having a KOS sign. Option 2: No KOS sign you kill the person raiding you and argue it was under the "treat rp as if it was real life rule", maybe get warned and the warn would most likely be final if appealed. Option 3: KOS sign kill the person raiding you 100% justified (unless other factors play a role such as FearRP) If you were just reported because you killed someone who was raiding you when you clearly had a KOS sign then no you shouldn't have been reported. I also haven't been staff in quite awhile and this topic could have been discussed in a staff meeting and clarity could have been given. So I could be completely wrong .

Gaminglight has also taught me numerous lessons which help me today in certain situations. And being apart of the community for as long as I have been I am familiar with the workings of Gaminglight and being a staff member on a GarrysMod server. How would you handle someone that is Mass RDMing and when you bring him/her to an admin sit all they do is curse at you? - First I would find an applicable location for a staff sit, After I would bring them to me and freeze the accused. Then I would ask a higher rank to assist and mute them if they were using foul language and being uncooperative, And investigate the situation. After the issue has been investigated I would find suitable punishment, And explain to the accused what the punishment entails and I would link them to the forums (for the possibility of an appeal). And I would allow them an opportunity to respond over voice chat.

  10. +Support I have been apart of this community on and off for the past few years, and I have been staff a total of 3 times. I have meet some great staff members and some great people in general, however Jayden stands out to me and here is why - Jayden is always willing to staff and help other staff members. In the times we staffed together he had numerous newer staff members coming to him for assistance and he was always willing to help. Heck he has even helped me in more than one occasion with sits I had. I have had the opportunity to witness Jayden become one of the best staff members I have seen since I joined this community in 2016. He has all the personality traits it takes to be a great staff member he is calm, knowledgeable, compassionate, professional, caring, giving, and many more. He handles every sit with professionalism and always tries to find the best solution for both parties involved. Jayden was and is always willing to render assistance to the players of GamingLight even if he is not on duty and getting his sit count up. Back when Jayden and I were Moderators we would say to each other that we were "Superadmin material" I think after awhile Jayden took it as a joke but I was never joking, Jayden was too humble to realize that. One of his best traits is he knows when he needs help with something, he understands he doesn't know everything and he is willing to seek out the resources that will help him. There had been plenty of times I considered resigning due to my inactivity but Jayden always motivated me to continue staffing. Long story short Jayden is very fitting of this promotion and the next one.. and the next one.. and the next one...

This makes no sense to me, From the evidence provided the warn is justified. - Will was not brandishing a weapon when you shot him (Maybe he had one out prior and that's why LuckyGoose said he did(But there is no evidence of this)) **Will did not have a weapon out at the time so you arguing that he was a an immediate threat to LuckyGoose is invalid also that wouldn't allow you to breach the MOTD about giving warnings** - "If someone is wanted (sign above a person’s head) you may AOS/KOS the person. In order to KOS you must warn the criminal at least 3 times to stop moving. If they comply, you must arrest them instead." ***No Proof of you giving the 3 warnings*** I mean maybe it should have been handled differently however that is not for me to decide.   18. +Support - Active - Friendly - I have never had any issues/complaints about Dropperlemon The only thing I can say that is negative is maybe you should have been more active here on the forums before applying as you most of you're posts are from yesterday. However overall I think you would make for a good addition to the staff team. Good Luck!
  19. I think Matthew said it perfectly, What you have to understand is staff members are human. And humans a faulty by design not every staff member at every point in time is going to be perfect. That's a reason why we have the report system so a staff member can see what they've done wrong and be guided on how to fix their issue(s). There are actual guidelines in the staff handbook that try and avoid staff members dealing with a sit that involves friends "Do not deal with your friends sits or an issue that you were involved or witnessed off duty. Any staff caught doing this will receive a strike or Removal from staff." It seems you have had a few bad experiences with some staff on the server however what you need to understand is not every staff member acts the way you are stating. I hope you continue to play on the server and stay with the community
