  1. Sad to see you go Biggus, but I wish you the best in your personal life. Go loud through the night, Let the wind be thy chariot toward destiny, The moonlight a beacon of hope, The trees a cowl of safety. Azimov
  2. -1 support, too many adverts, generally unneeded, smells like raw sewage.
  3. In-game name: Azimov SteamID: STEAM_0:1:67116206 Current RP rank on StarWarsRP: Colonel Have you donated to the server?: Several times, yes. Have you been banned on any GL server before?: I've not been banned on any GL servers that I am aware of. Have you received any warnings (please give reasons if applicable)?: I have received no warnings in GL SWRP. How much time do you have on the server?: Roughly 6 days, or "170:14" according to battlemetrics. How well do you know the LORE? Explain: I've been an avid enjoyer of starwars since I was a child, and played SWRP-type servers in GMod for a majority of the near 8k hours I've put into the game. If there's something I don't know about the lore, it's easy to learn as there's a plethora of resources both on youtube and starwars-dedicated websites such as wookiepedia that can give either Canon or Extended Universe lore. Why do you WANT to become a Gamemaster?: I want to become a gamemaster so I can put in some time 'paying it forward'. Players like Kashak, Mando, and Lukas to name a few have made my experience very enjoyable on the server, so it would be nice to help build and maintain something that players can continue to enjoy. Furthermore, I like creating short narratives. Small niche games like GMod SWRP are excellent for community-made lore and taking a deeper look into Star Wars lore first-hand. Why should you be trusted to be a Game Master?: It's really up to the reviewer or interviewer whether I'm trustworthy or not, but I suppose my few connections to the community and track-record of good behavior is one reason. Are you familiar/experienced with ULX?: Yes, and for what I cannot remember at first I can learn easily either by experimenting in a singleplayer server or via training and tutoring. Are you experienced with being a Game Master and how they function?: Yes. I'm a bit rusty, but I GM'd for a long-dead server where I helped or hosted events for 150-250 players when GMod servers could handle that many. Give a brief example of an on-ship event, as well as an example of an off-ship event: An on-ship event - passive, let's say - would be something like representatives of COMPNOR coming on the ship to document the status of the ship for humanitarian groups or to host interviews with Imperial Military command. An off-ship event could be something like either a siege on a rebel outpost or extermination of an intrusive species of insects on one of the Empires agricultural planets. Do you know how to give a weapon/SWEP to yourself/someone? (Give an example): !give <player> <weapon> is the command line, and weapon id's can be copied from the Weapons menu while holding Q. An easier way to give someone other than myself a weapon would be to look at them and type !give ^ <weapon>. Obviously however it is important never to use the asterisk, as that would give the whole server that type of weapon. For simulations it is best to have players put a common phrase or word in their name such as PIM, IQN, SIM, DIM, etc... so I can simply !give SIM <weapon>. Do you know how to model yourself/someone? (Give an example): !model <player> <model> is the command string, and models can copied to clipboard from the Addons folders in the context menu or even from default GMod assets such as the Dr. Breen or Isaac models (ex. !model Beckett models/citizen/ScienceJr.pm from the GM Guidelines). This is done by right clicking the model and copying to clipboard, where the user can paste the copied model info into the <model> section of the command string. Just like the previous question, I can model either a group of people with a similar word/phrase in their names or a singular player by replacing the <player> part in the command string with a ^. Have you read the Gamemaster Guidelines?: I have.
  4. 110%. Realistically speaking, however, only players experienced in building with GMod mechanics would really need it. Players could be given basic GM training for server guidelines and whatnot, but use of these perms would be limited only to building in areas where sims are permitted.
  5. What do you want to see?: In a nutshell, the idea is to create a rank in-game that gives certain players limited physgun/toolgun/noclip/spawnmenu permissions. A "Builder" or "GM Helper" rank. Why should we add it?: Giving players limited building perms would allow GM's more time to focus on creating builds/dupes for on-and-off-map events. This would also allow experienced players the opportunity to create dupes for their regiments and the server in general. Allows officers to create/share their own dupes. Player-made dupes can be uploaded to the workshop for the GM team to approve/disapprove for use in-game. Players won't necessarily have to rely on GM's to build their dupes for them, i.e. less 'put this here' and 'put that there' monotony. What are the advantages of having this?: By and large, limited building would allow for non-staff and non-gamemakers the opportunity to dedicate more time and effort into crafting fun and enticing simulations for their regiments. As there is no way to access the map in a singleplayer instance of GMod, it can be difficult for players to convey an idea without the direct assistance of a GM. Allows officers more freedom/creativity with their sims. Smaller workload for GM's with larger quotas. Potential for non-GM players to volunteer their time to helping GM's build events. Better sims = better activity, better activity = happy staff, happy staff = happy players Who is it mainly for?: Ideally for officers who want to make/share/paste dupes to create sims for their regiment, however a more inclusive route would be to make it a case-to-case selection via applications or interviews such as ones conducted for GM selections. 6. What is your In Game Name?: Azimov What is your SteamID?: STEAM_0:1:67116206 How Long Have You Been In Purge & IQ?: Roughly 75 hours/3 days. Why Do You Want To Become An Officer? [150+ Words]: During my time as an Enlisted member and NCO of Purge, I have seen how Purge command and our sister-group of Inquisitors have gone to great lengths to maintain the chain of command in order to keep their fellow Purge busy and entertained. Though guarded on the outside, Purge is a welcoming group with a very simple but effective focus: Kill Jedi, help Inquisitors, train frequently. My goal in joining the officership is to aid Purge command in maintaining these ideals and further the agenda of the group. Simply put, I would hope to perform simulations that appeal to Enlisted and NCO’s alike beyond what is already practiced; form new ideas with my fellow officers; and foster an even more welcoming and active group of players. There’s always a need for innovative thinkers and team-players, and by becoming an officer I hope that I could contribute my time and experience toward succeeding in the aforementioned ideals. How could you assist Inquisitorius Command with this rank? [75+ Words] My goal in becoming an officer - and likewise how I could assist Inquisitorius Command - is to make a greater contribution to the status quo by merit of the privileges afforded only to those accepted as officers of Purge. To be precise – help to maintain rosters; perform tests, training and simulations to keep enlisted and non-commissioned officers busy and entertained; discipline troopers who step out of line; and help in overall rearing and growth of the next generation of officers and NCO’s. How many strikes do you have?: 1 (Maybe from another gaminglight server, unable to see exact year). What Qualifications could you bring to the Inquisitorius Officer Team? A good sense of humor, a level head during distressing or otherwise difficult scenarios, years of roleplaying experience, and a one-for-the-team attitude. Have you had any previous experience as an Officer?: Not on Gaminglight. Do you understand that if you are Accepted, you will be on a 2 Week Trial Period?: Yes.
  7. What is your In-Game Name: Ouran, alternatively His Omnipotence What is your In-Game Rank: SSGT Are you Purge or IQ: Purge What SIM's or Mission's do you want see in the future: Siege Sims with 'Jedi VS Sith' themes; i.e. two teams of Purge/inquisitors fighting in an attack/defense arena. Any Improvement's or suggestion you wish to see the Executive command Team's do: Perhaps format a Merits' guide for things NCO+ can do (aside from training/sims/tryouts) to keep busy. Not to be confused with a quota.
