I want to become a Vice Commander in the 501st primarily because I seek to assist in upholding my main/only battalion I associate with. I had joined the 501st during one of its low points. Despite the state of the battalion I stuck with it thinking I could possibly make a difference in the future for 501st. It is in my interest that I would like to assist in upholding the battalion's integrity and ensure its newly formed health. Being a former Colonel and ARC assistant lead within the 501st, I believe I have a high understanding of what the battalion's operations must consist of. As of right now 501st has hit a rough patch with its command, but it has not altered the state of the battalion. With the presence of the current Commander and Senior Commander of 501st, considering us three have been partners throughout the ups and downs, I believe we would make a greet team that will ensure the 501st stays happy and healthy. Being an ARC Assistant Lead once again, the ARC CoC has been doing their absolute best to push new ideas. 4. How much game time do you have on the server? The purpose of a Vice Commander is to assist the Battalion's Commander in carrying out all battalion duties, this consist of updating rosters, ensuring the battalion is happy and health with activities to keep troops intrigued, and to post flag ups to notify of important pings or to up activity. Vice Commanders are tasked to ensure the battalions wellbeing. Vice Commanders should be someone that can be trusted by their fellow troops to be equipped with the proper information to succeed within the battalion. A Vice Commander is commonly the one that addresses misconduct and casts punishment upon the culprit. A Vice Commander must remain unbiased and ensure everyone receives equal treatment within their battalion. Commanders are already tasked with a lot outside of the battalion, so it is up to vice commanders to ensure battalion integrity. Forming a stable amount Officer and NCO is also a major task of a Vice Commander, which as of right now for the 501st NCO counts are struggling. 6. Why should we trust you to be a commander? : These are some of the reasons you should trust me to be a vice commander. I have been a part of the 501st command team for a little while before I had come off reserves. I believe I have earned the respect and trust of my fellow battalion members, in addition to members of other battalions. I had never had any negative interactions with anyone within GamingLight as a whole, in other words I get along with everyone. I have been appointed ARC Assistant Lead twice, and as it shows the Special Force is growing at a regulated and healthy rate. I believe after watching my Vice Commanders+ over time, I have obtained a general understanding of how the role is to be used. I have been an ongoing member within the server for around 9 months. 7. Why do you WANT to become a Gamemaster?: I want to become a gamemaster so I can assist with simulations and host event to keep people engaged. I don't like waiting long periods of time for an event to happen, and I know a lot of other people don't either. Why should you be trusted to be a Game Master?: I believe I can be trusted as a game master because, I myself dislike power abusers. I fully understand what it can do to not only me, but my peers. Are you experienced with being a Game Master and how they function?: I am experienced with being a game master on Garry's mod and other sandbox games, I am acquainted with how they function as well. I was a GM Tick 7 before my resign 6 months ago. Give a brief example of an on-ship event, as well as an example of an off-ship event: An ISB agent comes out of hyper space to deliver supplies to the personnel of the ISD. The ISB explains to the highest ranking officer that it is a supply run. The ISB calls out to all battalions for them to pick up their supplies from the MHB. Once all is said and done the ISB says their farwells and departs from the ISD. An ISB agent urgently comes out of hyperspace with a damaged ship after being attacked by a rebel fleet located in the Moddell Sector (Endor's Location). Gives off what information they have to the naval that is in MHB (Which includes the location of the rebel base on Endor). The ISB agent will call everyone to MHB for a mission briefing and choose a ground command for the mission. Once said and done the troops will deploy to the rebel base on endor. Once the rebel base is taken out. Trooper will report back to the ISD for a after action report. Once debrief is over the ISB will depart from the ISD. Why do you want to be a commander of this branch? I would like to be Vice Commander of this branch due to my primary activity on 501st. At the moment I try to do what I can to keep the battalion healthy, happy, and functional. Becoming a Vice Commander to me means I have a chance to prove myself to my superiors and assist is more ways than I could have before. I feel as if when I joined 501sta few months back, it was in a tough spot. But now it is thriving and full of life! I only wish to keep 501st this way. As of now I am a LTCOL. The last Vice Commander spot I did not apply for due to how new I was in 501st command, but now I believe I am ready to assist upholding 501st. It being encouraged, I do want to move up and explore options. 501st is a great battalion and I feel if I am granted the position, it would expand my options further in the future. 4. What is the Main Purpose of a commander for a branch? The main purpose of a a branches command is to ensure said branch is running fully functional and is receiving as much attention as it needs. It is common in real life that officers are practically supervisors, while enlisted run the show and keep everything lively. But as far as what I see within the battalion I am in, nobody does just one thing. Everyone has the potential of holding tryouts, sims, etc. Command members should be able to make the best of decisions for their battalion. A commander must be able to dictate confidently and with the best decisions to keep the battalion strong and standing. 6. Why should we trust you to be a commander? : I feel as if I could be trusted to be the next vice commander due to my dedication and input to the 501st battalion. I try my hardest to keep activity flowing through this battalion. I ping the chat often enough and host many trainings and exercises that contain rewards and prizes to keep people intrigued. The last vice commander spot that was open, I was new to command. But after getting my feet wet in what its like to be command, I believe I am ready and capable of being tasked with the vice commander position. Being granted as many responsibilities I have been given, I feel as if I can be trusted to assist in leading this amazing battalion. What can you do to improve the branch you will be responsible for? In order to improve the branch, I am wanting to hold tryouts more often than they've been held; Tryouts are rare to come by at the very moment. The only tryouts I see are from Aviation officers, no NCOs, no Officers. I want to give more tryout opportunities for those looking to dedicate themselves to SF. I also want to encourage current and future SF NCO+ to hold tryouts and trainings to keep people engaged in SF. Why should you be trusted with this position?: I absolutely love SF! I want to do everything I can for SF, considering they are in a rough spot at the very moment. I assure you my fellow 501st officers would suggest me, considering I keep people engaged within that battalion as well. I have many experiences that have readied me for this position. I use to want to be a security officer, but after major thinking I have decided wanting my secondary life to dedicated to something around naval or SF. I like to engage in activities with them and have conversations with them, earning their trust and befriending them. Considering 501st is my main battalion, I dedicate my time on the server to it. My activity is a perk to this. I try my absolute best to get on at least once a day. Considering I finished tech school I will be on a lot more often. Maturity level has a great impact as well, giving the 501st's officers a good look. I do have a stern nature as well. I am not afraid to lay down the law even on the closest of friends. If I am to be an officer, I will do it right. - Why do you want to become an Officer?: I have been told by many other players that I should highly consider applying for a 501st officer position. Considering the 501st is my main battalion, I decided why not give it a shot. This will allow me to become more knowledgeable and accustom to the way things are run. I have room for improvement, and this will help me improve and grow. I would love to dedicate myself to become a leader within my favorite battalion. I have many ideas for training and SIM exercises I have been wanting to try, but recently numbers have been fairly slim. - What is the purpose/duty of an Officer?: The purposes/Duties of an officer consist of upholding the battalion and maintaining integrity. Enforcing those who are out of line. Assist those who require assistance, such as commanders and high authorities. Oversee NCOs and Enlisted activities. Following the rules of the server. Host SIMs on multiple occasions throughout the week. Host tryouts to obtain more enlisted within the battalion. Setting examples for others to follow and look up to. Have a proper mindset and don't lay off assistance.
