What are you suggesting? - Adding a roll to the Containment Specialist SOP to cut or break through a lockdown door. In this example, a CS would @ to call for a sit, roll (60+?) and upon a successful roll, the admin can move the CS through the lockdown door. (JUST the CS), others can assist with the roll, but the hole is only large enough for the CS to get through. As of now, once you hit MP and ME rank on maintenance, the CS role become irrelevant because you have full access into HCZ, and switching to CS just wastes time. If not a roll, perhaps a CS can advert for cutting through each Lockdown Door similar to an SCP- (50% per minute?) It'll still take some time to get to EZ. (Allowing MTF Engineer time to lift the lockdown if they are available) How would this change better the server? - This would allow maintenance to perform their duties in EZ while there is a lockdown in effect. Too frequently I find that if a lockdown occurs and the lights go out, you can plan on the lights being out for 30~ minutes. Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. - The only disadvantage that I can see is, if CS has the ability to move through Lockdown doors, that would somewhat negate the MTF Engineer role. However, the Engineer would still be very useful, because if there is one active it can still save time- as there are SEVERAL lockdown doors between LCZ and EZ. Who would this change mostly benefit? - Players who have the Containment Specialist whitelist, and the whole facility during lockdowns. I think that I'd be a good fit for the H.L.P.R. Bot Alpha role because I enjoy heavy RP scenarios. Realistically H.L.P.R. Bot performs less duties overall than a Senior Maintenance, but has a more impactful RP element. I would be ecstatic to expound upon those RP experiences and see what sort of RP related shenanigans I could get into. Anyone who has been playing for the last several months can attest, that I typically enjoy building and RPing. (Painting the Walls, ID Checkpoint Terminals, Armor Stations, Replacing Lights) Hell, I even set up mini construction zones on failed CC rolls to wait out the 5 minutes. As a H.L.P.R. Bot, I would continuously provide ample opportunities for both our maintenance members and CI members to RP and interact with each other. As a noncombatant my last resort would be defending myself in the event of a CI raid. If the circumstances were that which I was escorting someone while CI began to raid, then I would be willing to defend whomever I am escorting; albeit if CI were to cause harm to them. Otherwise, if I were to be capture by CI forces, and they were to successfully hack me- then I would proceed with that RP scenario.
