I've been in the Maintenance branch for quite a while, more than 2 months. I have been very active on Maintenance from the first day I joined to the exact time I am making this application. I've resigned from Chaos Insurgency and E-11 Command to focus and put my time and love for Maintenance. And thanks to being a CMD member in E-11, I now have experience as CMD and am willing to put my experience on Maintenance. I've seen examples from other CMD not just from Maintenance, but from other branches and plan to do what they do to do the best possible. I have also been entrusted with the rank of SVFTO to train JFTOs for FTO. Having been given this rank, this gives me more experience to possibly train Novice Containment Specialists in the future if this application gets accepted. Having seen my 1st application denied, I've decided to put extra effort and dedication to the Maintenance Branch. [The following questions are intended to test your response and ability as command. You must answer 2 (two) of the questions, though you may answer all 3 if you wish.] 8-1. A Utility Trainee has escaped the training room and is refusing to return, how would you handle this? Would make sure that the Maintenance Bunks Door is closed, if not, immediately close it. Kindly ask the trainee to return to training room. Further escalations if the trainee refuses will result him being in restraints. Refusing to be arrested will have to force staff to be involved. After the trainee is restricted by movement, I will inform the trainee depending on the severity of his crimes about his DNT length. And I would demote him myself and move on. A trainee who acts like that doesn't deserve to be in the Maintenance branch. 8-2. Some enlisted members have begun RDMing each other in bunks as a way to pass time, what would you do in this situation? After more experience with seeing something like this from Research, it obviously gets annoying from all the gunshots and SFX. Telling them to stop would be the first thing to do. Refusing to obey CMD orders would be a verbal warning/formal warning depending if they continue shooting each other or instead, shoot at me. And staff will have to be involved to warn the enlisted members if they shoot me. If the enlisted is a Maintenance Expert, I would request AMM+ to strike/demote the enlisted Maintenance. 8-3. A Junior Maintenance is breaking multiple SOP rules such as improperly using tools and disregarding DEFCON rules, what are your next steps? Due to the 1 Strike Policy that Junior Maintenances have, a removal will be imminent. The Junior Maintenance should know most of our SOP rules and shouldn't be breaking them if they passed the test. If a certain amount of Junior Maintenance are being removed because of this, I would look at who trained them and make sure the trainer tells future members that they are on a 1 strike policy, so don't break any severe SOP rules. Failure of this will be a talking to during the Maintenance meeting and possibly the trainer getting in trouble.

I gave them a verbal, as they were saying that they thought they were just shooting a cloaked staff. Shooting cloaked staff isn’t recommended but it’s fairly common and no one has a problem with it. But they should be careful next time when doing something like this. During the sit, Island did not give me any clip during the sit. It was practically a bit of talking and the 2 E4s admitting to it. But now that I see the clip and seeing the blogs, I am certainly shifting towards a +SUPPORT.

Prior to the clip, we attempted to raid the foundation and I see them on top of the brick wall. I believe they were trying to get on top of Gate A. I see the chair props on the left side of the brick wall which I believe is still our spawn? During the sit that Walter Scott took, the E4s said they can prop climb with world props confirmed by JMT. So im hoping that is some evidence that they did prop climb. The prop climbing is pretty confusing to be honest.

I gave them the clicked and they encouraged & agreed that I should make a player report due to them being 2 veteran and experienced players of server who know the rules of the server, and one of them is STAFF as well. Any extra information: During the sit, the E4s said that you could prop climb with "World" props, which they claim it was confirmed by JMT that you can. After they were given a verbal by Walter Scott, I didn't wanna argue with it so I let it go for a few minutes. Then I talked to a few players including the Sarkics with me. And it sort of felt like we were spawn camped as we attempted to raid and then I see them. (I have no issues towards the players or CI itself, something like this just had to be brought upon in my opinion.)

-SUPPORT My reasons for this is because something like this can also happen to CI, not just to the Foundation. 5 CI members versus 15 Foundation members. And I believe that CI cannot even interfere with Researchers doing tests anymore. Personally, I would just leave this alone. There are times where CI is active when MTF is not, and then there are times when MTF is active and CI is not. You also have to think about D-Classes that want to become CI, but cannot due to a rule like this being applied. D-Classes are already too weak with 100% health to do anything to large amounts of MTF with 200% health and 200% armor. And during active times, it is 99% impossible to escape as a D-Class without assistance.

What are you suggesting? : The Enlisted/Command Members of Maintenance Branch can choose to wear headphones or not. How would this change better the server? : I'd think it would look cool. Maybe it can help increase the amount of Maintenance members in our branch. Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. : This may not be possible but that is fine because I literally know nothing about developing in GMOD. It's just been a thought in my head for the maintenance branch. Let's be honest here, there has definitely been a chance of this happening due to my inactivity in E-11. And after days of thoughts about it. It has come to a decision where I decided to resign. There are many reasons why I chose this decision. Big gaps of inactivity from my view and also a lot of people. No motivation to really get on E-11. I've decided to currently focus on Maintenance more since it was the first branch I joined. I plan to get Command there as well when slots are open. There is also being staff on the server which I'd like to pursue. I lost motivation in E-11 to the point I forgot about the E-11 CMD meeting which I would always remember. I've only become a waste of slot at this point, I wonder who might take the 1LT slot? Had some good memories in this branch such as the RDM arena, Minecraft server, and many more. And yes, getting the SGT rank in a week of E-11 was funny. Love you all, E-11 CMD members, NCOs, and Enlisteds!

+SUPPORT I had multiple problems with jackcat last week. He has ignored sits for 3-6 minutes just to spawn props in 432 with his friends. Keep in mind, he was ignoring sits and spawning props while on the administration’s job. After I told him to not ignore sits for 3-6 minutes, he had the audacity to say, “Why not you take the sits? You’re a higher rank!” Which had no relation to why I was telling him why he wasn’t taking any sits. I’ve also seen him, mess with RP situations such as telling gensec to cuff Class-Ds so he could put the cuffs on the ceiling below the elevator. He also likes to use his physgun powers which at this point, wasn’t funny anymore. To me, he has only shown that he is abusing his staff privilege to have the ability to spawn things that regular users can’t and mess with players. But due to no video evidence, I cannot prove this all. In my opinion, this should either be a complete removal or a demotion because he isn’t upholding for the task of being a moderator.

Personally, I see this incident as a place for fun for all the Class-Ds that are new to this game. Now if Thin was placing larger props like a large pole or cube, that is where my opinion changes. And the fact it shows that it’s the time for night surge, just automatically tells me that it’s minge hours. Though indeed a rule was broken, this could have been settled with a sit and not on the forums, perhaps? Unless there was no staff on but you at the time.
