  1. What would you like to see: I would like to see a large, flat room designated for SIM's or events added to the server. One that can be teleported to within the ship. Nothing fancy, basically another planet map but flat and enclosed (as if it were in the ship). If optimization is an issue, perhaps we can replace one of the existing planet maps with the SIM room, seeing as they are the same map just different colors. How would it help the server and/or the player base: It would give GM's more options for events, SIMs and make it easier to build dupes during the day. It would also give GM's a place to do training and meet up to discuss ideas. Right now, the best time to build dupes is late at night or early in the morning. For GM's that have very limited time to play, this will allow them the freedom to build, plan, or do whatever they need any time of day. Perhaps moderators can also have a little slice of the map to use for sits? Just an idea. Do you think this suggestion will help the server as a whole: 100%
  2. I fully support this change for all the reasons Seaman provided. In my opinion, the Sentry Heavy should receive the rw_sw_tl50 seeing as the Ground Armor job already has the rw_sw_tl40 and you receive Ground Armor as soon as you join SF. I think that would balance out the desire to join both Sentry Heavy and Sentry Technician seeing as the Technician receives the new shield. Final Note: With the server having a higher player count recently, flying during events is very restricted. This change would allow SF members to be more involved and have more RP options during events.
  3. +Support Pros: Good application Experienced Great guy Can be active for the battalion Cons: N/A Good Luck! I hope you make it again and be a good leader for your battalion!
  4. Major +Support Seaman is the hardest working SF member, no contest. Genuinely wants the best for the whole battalion. One of the best, if not the best Vice Marshall SF has ever seen. Active. Has already been filling the role of the Marshall since I've joined the battalion. Application is genuine and accurate. Is the best star pilot in the galaxy, a cunning warrior and a good friend. As the second Vice Marshall I have decided not to apply for the Marshall position because Seaman honestly deserves it more than anyone else ever has. The dedication this man has to the battalion is beyond comparison. There's no reason you shouldn't receive this promotion, in my opinion. Good luck Govna.
  5. +Support - Very active - Very helpful - Has been Vice Commander for 5+ weeks. - Is a trusted member of the community - Application is great
  6. Among a few unpleasant experiences within SF, there was one instance where you disobeyed superiors and hijacked a transport ship from SF during an event while on the naval job. Then ran away from an arresting officer. I personally feel you are not fit for the AO position at this time.
  7. +Support You reported me for ERP when I said the word "booty" so I think you would definitely take the job seriously.
  8. In-game name: Nacho SteamID: Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:93976071 Current RP rank on StarWarsRP: Starfighter Corps Vice Commander Have you donated to the server?: Yes Have you been banned on any GL server before?: I have never been banned on a GL server. Have you received any warnings (please give reasons if applicable)?: I have never received any warnings How much time do you have on the server?: I have 2 weeks in-game. How well do you know the LORE? Explain: I’m very familiar with the canon lore but I’ve only started delving into the legends lore. Why do you WANT to become a Gamemaster?: I’d like to be a Gamemaster to help fight boredom on the server. Personally, I’ve had a lot of fun on the server from events and sims which we all know are attributed to the gamemaster’s creative ability. I have some ideas for events that I’m sure other players will enjoy. I’m pretty active on the server as well so I’ll be available for plenty of SIMs. In addition, I thoroughly enjoy the Gaminglight community and hope to one day play a bigger part within. Why should you be trusted to be a Game Master?: There are a couple reasons I can be trusted with Gamemaster. For one, I am already a Moderator on the server and understand the rules. Secondly, I have recently been trusted with the rank of Vice Commander in the Starfighter battalion, which I hope highlights my dedication and work ethic. I hope to be a valuable addition to the Gamemaster team. Are you familiar/experiences with ULX?: If I’m being honest, I haven’t had much experience with ULX other than the tools used for Moderators. I have been studying, however, in preparation for this application. I’ve been a member of the official ULX discord for a couple days reading through the material provided there as well as watching tutorial videos on YouTube. I will continue studying and become a master soon! Are you experienced with being a Game Master and how they function?: As this is the first GMod server I’ve really played, I’m afraid I do not have any personal experience with being a Gamemaster. However, In the time I’ve spent playing on the server, I have studied other Gamemasters and how they operate. Furthermore, there are many Gamemasters within SF who I’m sure would help familiarize me with the more advanced elements. Give a brief example of an on-ship event, as well as an example of an off-ship event: Example of On-ship Event An ISB agent enters the airspace and informs over comms that he has a rebel prisoner on board and requests permission to land in the MHB. He is greeted by appropriate ISD members and turns over the prisoner to them. The prisoner is escorted to the brig and is then interrogated by Infernal Squad operatives. As the interrogation takes place, rebel destroyers hyperspace to the ISD and deploy enemy fighters and drop pods. The Starfighters are dispatched to take down enemy fighters and army battalions are sent to their battle stations. Once all threats are eliminated and the prisoner has been executed, a ship-wide sweep for stragglers is conducted. Once the all-clear is given, the event ends. Example of Off-ship Event An ISB agent transmits information regarding the location of a satellite rebel base on the nearby planet Tatooine. High command gathers all troops for a briefing and informs them on the mission parameters. The troops are then escorted to the MHB and board transports. After being transported to Tatooine, the troopers wipe out rebel forces and gather an intel that might help the Empire. After enemy forces have been exterminated and important info has been extracted, all troops are transported back to the ISD and debriefed, ending the event. Do you know how to give a weapon/SWEP to yourself/someone? (Give an example): To give yourself a SWEP: !give ^ [Weapon] To give someone else a SWEP: !give @ [Weapon] Do you know how to model yourself/someone? (Give an example): !Model ^ [Model] Have you read the Gamemaster Guidelines?: I have read the Gamemaster handbook.
  9. +Support Pros: Has been in SF for months. Active for the most part Has been helpful in Cobra Squad Nice guy Cons: Answer for the purpose of Vice Marshal is short and vague. Sounds like you're bad-mouthing current leadership.
  10. +Support Pros: Been in SF for a long time. Is familiar with SF and is the Head Training Officer. Active. Very nice and respectful. Cons: Chooses not to use voice chat. Would make being a leader harder for you, in my opinion. Good Luck!
  11. +Support Pros: Had the greatest redemption arc on the entire server. Really likeable and funny guy. Very active and will be available most hours of the day. Cons: Sometimes he do a little too much trollin. (JK) Good luck!
  12. +Support Pros: Is very capable of carrying out the tasks of a Vice Marshal if not the most capable. Was very active until your complications with GMOD and steam took effect. Has leadership experience with previously being Cobra Squad Vice Lead and now Flight Baron of the Tie Defender Squadron. Cons: N/A
  13. 1. What is your IGN? (In Game Name) : Nacho 2. What Regiment are you applying for? Imperial Starfighter Corps 3. Why do you want to be a Vice Marshal of this branch? I would like to be Vice Marshal of Starfighters to give those new to the battalion the same great experience I had when I first joined. When I first joined the Starfighters, I was captivated by how great the leadership was. To keep that many players involved, entertained, and well disciplined was very impressive to see. I knew immediately this was the battalion for me. I tried my hardest to reach NCO, then hosted over forty tryouts until I became an officer and was even rewarded with the rank of Assistant Head Training Officer (AHTO). If I were to be implemented as Vice Marshall I would make it my mission to give current and new members of SF an even better experience than I had, If possible. 4. How much game time do you have on the server? I have two weeks in-game on the server. I joined SF on my second day on the server and have been active almost every day since then. I have both TeamSpeak and Discord on my phone so I can be involved most hours of the day. 5. What is the Main Purpose of a Commander for a branch? The roles that a Commander must carry out are vast. This is something I am well aware of. A few examples of important roles include, but are not limited to, being the pinnacle of a good role model to your peers, being active and available to assist those in need, constantly finding room for improvement, instilling an enjoyable, orderly environment for battalion members, keeping documents, rosters, and members up to date, and overseeing the officer’s duties and activities. The main purpose of a Commander, in my opinion, is to inspire battalion members to be the best version of themselves possible with their leadership ability. By accomplishing the previously stated roles, influencing members to do good will assuredly come naturally. 6. Why should we trust you to be a commander? : I believe I can be trusted as Vice Marshal seeing as I’ve been dedicated to the battalion and serious since day one. Ask anyone in the Starfighter Corps and I’m confident they will agree with this statement. I’ve always taken my roles and responsibilities seriously and tried my best to establish myself as an outstanding model for others. As an Assistant Head Training Officer (AHTO), I’ve supervised countless tryouts to ensure that the quality of our tryouts are nothing less than superb, and that everyone has an equal opportunity to enlist. As the current Cobra Squadron Vice Lead, I’ve personally evaluated the skills and ability of each member individually numerous times and have always made sure to be inclusive and let everyone have a chance to participate in missions and have a fun experience, even if that required me to literally take the backseat. I always try to put others before myself and lead by example. 7.How often can you be Online? : Depending on the week I can be on 5+ hours everyday. 8. Do you have any Warnings? (What for?) : To my knowledge, I have no warns.
