I believe it was about 2:30 am on Friday, February 11. The server was slow and not much was happening I was about to go to sleep but gave into the overwhelming urge to shoot one bullet at a DT. Bad move. I understand it was wrong and I encourage others to not be an idiot like me. The DT was not having a very good day and chased me for a bit before giving up & reporting me. Enter KitChan. My memory isn't the best so forgive me. I assume KitChan got the details from the DT before pulling me to the sit because before I could even speak I was being told I was being given a warning for ARDM. I immediately asked if It was a verbal or official. Prior to this incident I had no warns and was shocked when he explained that I would be receiving an official warning for shooting one round at the DT. I had to plead with him to let me explain my actions and before I could finish my explanation the warn was issued. I was pretty upset but saw that KitChan was just trial-mod. I chalked it up to inexperience and immediately requested the warn be appealed. Linked above is my accepted warn appeal. To my surprise I see the following statement from @SawickM: I decided to do some light digging to see if these claims were true and found other ACCEPTED warn appeals that demonstrate KitChan's Poor staffing. Below are just three appeals I found and some excerpts from them. ----- Harsh Punishment & Ignorance of the Rules ----- Pickle's Warn Appeal: https://gaminglight.com/forums/topic/84698-pickles-false-warn-appeal/ In his appeal Pickle states the following: It's safe to say that this was just an accident from pickle. Regardless, there was no report created and at the time, Pickle was (or still is) a staff member. Anyone who has taken a glance at the staff handbook knows you can't warn other staff. Jaeger says it best in his response: An important recurring theme you will see in all of these appeals is experienced admins expressing that these warns should have been verbal warnings. The hard part is figuring out if its the admin power going to his head or just plain inexperience. ----- Uninformed Decision-Making & Harsh Punishment ----- Grub's Warn Appeal: https://gaminglight.com/forums/topic/84779-grubs-warn-apeal/ In his appeal, Grub states the following: Scrolling further down you find this reply from SMT bop where he highlights that Grub didn't kill the second person involved even though KitChan issued Grub 2 RDM warns. There's no excuse for this. We have the resources and a quick glance at the logs could have prevented him from issuing a wrong warning. ----- Uninformed & Harsh Punishment (Again) ----- Donovan's Warn Appeal - https://gaminglight.com/forums/topic/84850-kitchanss-warn-appeal/ This one is a tad bit confusing but KitChan's response just makes it even worse. Here is Donovan's statement: Here is KitChan's official response to the statement above: Further down Frog states the following: I'm assuming this is when KitChan was removed as a Moderator as SawickM explained on my warn appeal, though I'm not 100% sure. ----- The Conclusion ----- According to his own signature, KitChan used to be a Senior Moderator before he was removed meaning all the evidence I've presented was conducted by a Senior Moderator. Its evident that KitChan has not learned from his prior mistakes. To this day, he still doesn't know how to use verbal warnings despite being told on numerous occasions that his punishments were excessive. His conduct as a Moderator does not promote a healthy experience. Imagine if every admin dished out punishments just like KitChan. The server would be barren. What do you believe should happen to the admin: I strongly believe it is best for the GL community that KitChan have his admin powers removed and be barred from becoming staff again for a duration deemed appropriate by the SMT. 7. Any extra information: I'm a firm believer that people deserve second chances but I think with a past like KitChan's, he's probably on his fifth or sixth chance at least. The three warn appeals I found were just a quick search and they all happened within days of each other. Imagine all the other sits where he potentially ruined a new player's experience and they didn't care enough to create a forums account to appeal it. I don't think KitChan is a good representative for Gaminglight and his actions speak for themselves.

Why do you think this warn was false: Kio issued the warn. He is a brand new trial moderation and was being supervised by Loki. I fully admit that I shot one time at another player. That is not up for debate. However, I did not have a chance to explain myself or my reasoning until after Trial Mod Kio slapped a warn on me nor was I given even a verbal warning, which I understand is not necessary before a warn but it exists for a reason. I have 4 weeks of in-game time on this server and in that time I never once received a warn which I pride myself on. I know what the rules are and used to be a Senior Moderation myself. I strongly believe this warn should be appealed because in my opinion, KIO is an inexperienced Trial-Mod and jumped the gun on my warn before I even had a chance to explain myself. Ask anyone who knows me and has worked with me in the past and I'm confident they can speak for my character. 9. Any extra information: I don't house any negative feelings towards Kio as I remember how stressful it was to be a Trial Moderator & I understand that we make mistakes. September 3, 2021 Hello Everyone, I’m going to keep this as short and concise as possible. I’d first like to thank High Command for the opportunity to be the Commander of such an amazing battalion. I’ve met plenty of great people who have taught me a lot and made some good friends along the way. I want to sincerely apologize to the Starfighters Corps. I have a lot of IRL stuff going on that has prevented me from being the leader that you needed. It was just one thing after another, after another and if I had known I’d be away for this long, I would have resigned at the start. You guys are great and deserve a Marshall who’s going to be there for you, which at this moment in time, I cannot fulfill. I feel like I let down a lot of people including myself. I'm sorry I failed you guys. I had a lot of projects and ideas planned for SF that I really wanted to complete and I’m honestly a little bit sad that I never got to them. I did receive SF Reserves so I do hope to one day return and finish what I stared. I feel like Thank you all for allowing me to be your Marshall, I hope to see you all again someday. What do you want to see?: Opening Statement - I would like to see the current High Command system be changed. More specifically, I would like to see the process in which we determine our High Command members be changed. Let me preface this by stating that I do not have a problem with any current High Command members and that by suggesting this topic, my intent is not to undermine or suggest that any current High Command members do not deserve their rank. I am simply suggesting an idea that I believe will be beneficial server-wide. Specific Changes - As shown in the image above, my suggestion is to allow the Senior Commanders of Naval battalions (Navy, Starfighters, Inferno Squad, & Death Troopers) to have a path to the Naval High Command Ranks. As of right now, the current promotion path forces Senior Commanders of these Naval battalions (aside from Navy) to become a Marshall Commander. Which, as we all know, is tasked with overseeing the Army battalions (501st, Stormtroopers, Medical Corps, Shock Troopers, etc.). My proposed promotion path removes one General slot (optional, I think it balances out since we're taking away three battalions worth of candidates) from the Army HC and adds the Moff rank and a second Fleet Admiral rank to HC. Important Details - The names & order of the ranks are not important and can be whatever SMT decides on, I just wanted to give an example to provide a clear picture of what it is I'm suggesting. The most important detail of this change, however, is that Naval HC essentially receives the Naval equivalent of the Marshall Commander positions, where the individuals elected for those positions have a limited time to demonstrate their leadership abilities, oversee the Naval battalions, and are either promoted or demoted and the end of their term, depending on their performance. Why should we add it?: Persuading Argument - To me, and many others, it doesn't make sense for someone who has spent months in a Naval battalion to be "promoted" to a position that oversees a completely different set of battalions, rather than the ones that they have worked along side and have gotten to know over the course of their careers. As the current Marshall of the Starfighters Corps, we have had many operations and simulations with the other Naval battalions as suggested and put together by our overseers that have allowed us to form friendships, rivalries, and respect for each other's battalions. Its disheartening to know that we have no choice but to throw away all of our experience with the other Naval battalions to go and learn how completely different battalions operate in order to progress. I understand that you don't have to accept the promotion and can remain the Senior Commander of a battalion. But I sincerely think that my proposed change allows everyone to succeed in a way that makes more sense. What are the advantages of having this?: Providing Equal Opportunity - As stated above, the changes provide a clear path for those in Naval battalions to fill the Naval High Command positions that they have worked with and understand the role of (Fleet Admiral, High Admiral, Grand Moff), instead of being forced into a role that they may have no experience working with (Marshall Commander, General, Allegiant General), and overseeing battalions that they may know nothing about. The change, in my opinion, makes more sense than the current system in place, is future proof, and is still lore-friendly. Who is it mainly for?: Beneficial to Everyone - The change is mainly for the Naval battalions: Navy, Starfighters Corps, Inferno Squad, & Death Troopers, but is still a benefit to every battalion. The Naval battalions will have a improved path to the HC ranks that oversee the same battalions they know, and the Army battalions will now have the Army HC ranks only filled by people they know and who are familiar with the Army procedure. +Support -There was never a sit for the issue warned. The reporter pulled Yogurt and issued a warn immediately without any evidence. Just because it's an ST doesn't mean they are malicious. If there is evidence of the events then it's case closed. If not, It's just hearsay and should discredit the warn.
