  1. THE FOLLOWING IS ALLOWED FOR PERSONNEL OF LEVEL 2 CLEARANCE: ANYONE UNDER THIS CLEARANCE WILL BE FOUND AND TERMINATED Lead Name: IV Rank: Junior Researcher SCP: 173 Additional Personnel: Dr. Winter, SO River, SO Ren, SO Goodman Question : Does SCP-173 think when getting past obsticles? Background Research: SCP-173 is known for being able to move at the speed of light. Before a blink of the eye. However, it's been apparent that SCP-173 is ground based and (while fast) takes time to get around. Hypothesis: SCP-173 isn't on autopilot, but is actively sapient creature. Observation 1: Grease was poured across the middle of the containment cell. D-Class "Scout" was told to stay on one side of the room, while SCP-173 was already positioned on the other side of the room. Once the shutters on the observation deck had remained closed for 15 mins, the shutters were reopened for observation. The D-Class was still alive and SCP-173 was standing positioned above the spotlight on the eastern wall. Observation 2: Maintenance was called in to place a regular wooden wall across the cell, separating SCP-173 and "Scout" from each other. Once they had left and the shutters had closed, we took 15 mins before reopening to find neither of the subjects in sight. Dr. Winters insisted they were both in the corners of their respected ends of the room, out of sight from the cameras and observation deck. Wanting to be sure, Dr. Six went down and called for the doors to be opened, security by his side. Once the doors had been opened, "Scout's corpse had been found on one end of the room, his neck snapped. A moment later, Security Officer Goodman had been killed by SCP-173. It took ten minutes before re-containment was able to be conducted. Observation 3: D-Class "Monkey" was taken into SCP-173's CC with a standard metal cone around his neck and head. Observations were to see if SCP-173 would attack other portions of the body besides the neck and if so, how long would it take to attack another portion of the body. Once the doors were locked, the shutters were closed. 15 mins later, it was silent. Neither subject could be seen. Instructions were to open the doors. Security Officer Rivers and Ren were to check inside. Upon going inside, someone tampered with the controls and the doors shits. While Dr. Six and Security Officer Ren were able to make it out, River was not as fortunate. "Monkey" grabbed River and strangled him to death. Soon after, Officer Ren shot "Monkey to death. Retrieval of the D-Class's body suggest SCP-173 was attempting to break past the metal collar given to him. Conclusion: Inconclusive. What we have learned is that it can climb any surface and is extremely consistent with going for the neck of humans. As for it's level of sentient, it remains a mystery. Further research must be undergone. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: Unknown.
  2. File: Junior Researcher 0006 Name: Unknown Alias: VI Age: 34 Division: Research Rank: Junior Researcher ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Profile: Six was D-Class 0006 for the Foundation in 20██. After Incident-49-6, Six was recruited into the Foundation's Research Department. Quickly passing the testing required, he is currently a Junior Researcher fro Site-10. While having knowledge in the medical field (surgery specifically), its unknown to what extent, as he refuses to answer. Subject is monitored 24/7. Note: Six finds pleasure in conducting surgeries. Notably when the subject is not sedated. Caution is advised. -O5-█ History: D-Class 0006 was accused and found guilty for "Unnecessary services" and charged with Capital Punishment for 52 accounts of involuntary manslaughter. After being selected for the Foundation's one month program, 0006 was transferred to Site-10. For a month, 0006 did nothing notable. This changed when he started conversation with the guards of D-Block. Asking questions as if they were working together, such as: "Do you get paid enough for this?" or "Nice weather, yeah?". Dr. Smart came for a D-Class, but was bribed by D-Class 0006 to replace the D-Class with himself. The bribe was accepted and D-Class 0006 was taken to SCP-049. This caused Incident-49-6. Incident-49-6: Before the test had begun, 0006 asked Dr. Smart if he would survive the test. The doctor responded with similar responses from the Gensec escort that he just might. 0006 asked if he could talk his way out. Both responded with a nod. Once taken to the observation deck, 0006 was told to jump into the Containment Cell. Doing so with no hesitation, 0006 began to converse with SCP-049. He appealed to the fact that they both were doctors and how their situations were similar. SCP-049 concluded that 0006 did not have the "pestilence". Asked 049 questions, 0006 took pleasure in the conversation. The feeling became mutual to both as 0006 requested for test subjects so SCP-049 could "teach him". Two D-Class were delivered and what followed was two separate operation which resulted in the making SCP-049-2. Both subjects were detained for study and 0006 detained. This was one of the few incidents with SCP-049 not operating on a D-Class, as the survived rate is █%. After the Incident-049-6, D-Class 0006 pleaded with the escort and Dr. Smart to hire him. After another bribe, 0006 was recruited into the Foundation as a Junior Researcher. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Planned Projects: SCP-999 Testing Logs-1 SCP-049 Interview SCP-035 Interview SCP-1048 "Empathy" Test SCP-682 Termination Test SCP-963 Interview Project_Instinct: No details at this time Project_COPE: No details at this time ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Relations: In Progress
