  1. Not always, some MTF choose to only go in pairs of two, strictly following MOTD, I can wait 5 minutes (which is usually how long it takes to get to HCZ) and then break out. Since there are only 2 of them, I just ignore them (you need 3 heavy weapons to fearRP a class-d). At that point they call admin and the admin decides based on their opinion (I have done this many times and the outcome is random). I always follow the Admin's decision on the rules but I hope my constant annoyance brings some form of change. Pretty much exactly what I'm trying to get to with this post. I have seen many people warned, despite following the MOTD. Most people accept that the MOTD is outdated, I find it pretty stupid that people just "accept" that there is no up to date set of rules.
  2. I've debated with security guards about this issue, everyone seems to have a different stance on it so I want to see the opinion of forum members. The question: If, as a class-d, you have: Been cuffed for more than 5 minutes Are not under FearRP (less than 3 heavy weapons pointing at you) can you break out of your cuffs? This argument has gone many ways, and being a returning player, I'm not too sure of the current interpretation. The rules formally state "If cuffed, you are prohibited from breaking out of the handcuffs until five minutes have passed since being cuffed, or if left alone and unattended by Foundation/CI personnel." This statement seems to support the argument that you can break out after the 5 minute timer. However some guards follow another rule as counteracting this: "When cuffed you are required to comply with the individual that has cuffed you" This is interpreted as meaning "you are always under fearRP whenever you are cuffed". This is where debate happens, does "comply" only apply to physical actions such as moving, or jumping off a ledge? Or does it also encompass guards being able to "force" you into not braking out? Thoughts would be appreciated.
  3. Apparently there has been a change to the d-block rules recently. Gensec/mtf can't kill class-d's for standing/stacking on another class-d. Going on the fence is still KOS. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
  4. Despite the rules, currently only the person that breaks the elevator gets punished (I have yet to see anyone get banned for jumping down the broken elevator). Most of the time when the elevator is broken, people just keep jumping down until someone decides to fix it. If you want to start banning people for jumping down the elevator- I have countless videos of cc's, and high (donator) ranked class-d's ignoring the broken elevator. Clearly, in my opinion- there is not enough being done to motivate people from abusing the elevator once it it broken.
  5. What are you suggesting? - Above ^ How would this change better the server? - Right now, MTF often use the field medic station to get a significant height advantage and nearly full-body cover. This can be nearly impossible to overcome for the class-d's due to the total cover that it provides Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. - This rule might shift the balance for mtf in their combat against class d's This rule would take moderation time Who would this change mostly benefit? - This rule would mostly benefit class-d's who have a very hard time getting past mtf once they are set up right outside of dblock. Please link any workshop content, screenshots, or anything that you think may be helpful to those who view this suggestion - N/A
  6. What are you suggesting? - Gensec riot police should be able to kos those that come down the elevator while its broken How would this change better the server? - It would Motivate class-d's to not break the elevator Give others a reason to fix the elevator, other than the risk of a warn Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. - This rule might cause people to break the elevator to troll all of dblock This rule would take policing and some more signage. Who would this change mostly benefit? - This rule would mostly benefit gensec who have a hard time dealing with class-d's while the elevator is broken Please link any workshop content, screenshots, or anything that you think may be helpful to those who view this suggestion - N/A
  7. This is my point exactly, even if it was done solely by the moderation team, there should be some form of regulation on defcon to prevent abuse and complains about it.
  8. I had a situation where there were claims and complaints of mtf abusing defcon the other day: Omni-9 is in/around dvlock during deacon 4 with very little riots > people complained in ooc why mtf in in dblock at deacon 4 ( with little to no riots going on ) > defcon changes from 4 to 3 with no reason announced > people ask for a reason in ooc, mtf ignores them. Que 20 minutes of arguing in ooc by the class d on why the defcon was changed and why a reason is not being announced.
  9. What are you suggesting? Currently, only in some situations is a reason for defcon announced, I propose than whenever the site's defcon is changed, a reason must be /adverted to the server i.e "GOI Raid over, Minor class-D riot: defcon 3 > 4". During high population, once every 5-15 minutes, a refresh of the defcon's reasoning should be made i.e "SCP-173 Breach, SCP-049 Breach: defcon 3". How would this change better the server? This Change would: Prevent people from needing to spam the chat "Why defcon 3?" "Why is it not defcon 5???" Prevent complaints from chaos/class-d over defcon abuse by MTF Are there any disadvantages of making this change to the server? If so, explain. - This change would: Require moderation to implement/police Cause more metagaming by releasing info. Who would this change mostly benefit? - This change would be a general benefit to everyone in the site, giving appropriate information on why the change is being made.
  10. Lets say you are a Class-D that has been arrested. You have: Been arrested for 5+ minutes Are not under FearRP (less than 3 heavy weapons pointed at you) Are not in transit Can you ignore commands such as going through a door, jumping off a ledge or any other action? The MOTD states: "When restrained you are not allowed to resist being brought to different locations or attempt to break out of restraints unless you have been restrained for 5 or more minutes." I would assume that once all restrictions are met, you can fully resist the commands of others. However, I have seen many people disagree on the nature of this. Some people reason that even if the above 3 points are met, not following commands is FailRP, what do you guys think about this?
