  1. 1.Name: Lars 2. Current and former RP ranks: CURRENT: None FORMER: Nu7 CMDR, E11 CPT and D4, Medical Supervisor, Maintenance OS, O5 Logistics/RRH Engineer, CI SM, Gensec MSGT. 3. SteamID: STEAM_0:0:34212074 4. DiscordID: Yeppes#9289 5. Why do you want to be an Officer?: I've recently returned to the server once again and have been considering reinstating one of my reserves or starting off in another branch, there's not much to say other than the fact I want to enjoy Gaminglight again in one form or another and if I could help another branch thrive then I'll only be more glad to. 6. What makes you competent enough to be an Officer?: I believe that I've proven that I've got what it takes to hold and perform in most command positions I'm in, especially during my time in Nu7 and E11, I know how to keep to the rules as well as manage parts of a branch at a higher and lower level alike, I've never had my superiors complain about the way I've done my job and I did my best in communication with anybody below me who had any questions or problems related to the branch I was in at the time. The last thing I could say is the fact that whenever I've joined a new branch and climbed to the ranks of their command I've never left it without leaving some kind of a mark of my work appropriate to the position. I should also have plenty of time given the fact I'm not currently in any branches and don't plan on joining any anytime soon if I happen to get my application approved. 7. How will you maintain strong relationships and communication with other branches?: Whenever a conflict arises I'll use the same understanding and reasonable doubt I've always had when it came to issues among branches by taking a closer look at the situation and presenting both the facts of what we know happened as well what it looked like and what it may have actually been since I've seen in the past situations where somebody took a short clip at face value while completely disregarding circumstances in the video and was about to act too hastily, I wouldn't want for that to happen. On the more positive side of things I'd like to give my input in the future as the branch continues to expand or assimilate to the rest of the server on rules and directives regarding branch interaction in order to keep a healthy balance between the serious nature and what's good to keep a positive atmosphere on the server.
  2. +Support, except make the modifier about 1.5 or 1.75, let the combat and everything be way more dynamic.
  3. +Support Most of them are really good addons that could improve the experience.
  4. +Support Make SCPs more of an actual lasting threat, not something that dies to just 1 coordinated assault.
  5. +Support for everything except... I cannot describe how massive of -Support I wish to give for the entirety of this part: With the several last map patches to D-block It's been getting severely more absurd and difficult for the D-class, it feels like we could start getting fence labirynths at any point now, it begins to look more like DarkRP bases than any SCP-RP server, even the donator job such as Pro was subject to a huge nerf which was the change of It's pistol, not to mention Mobster being left out with no medkit or keycard of any sort for a long time, the new mining system is also worth mentioning since where previously D class was able to just buy resources with money, now it isn't an option and it requires insane time commitment to get to the viable guns. Both the AP and better LMGs are an extreme overkill for those jobs to remain even remotely close to D-block, It's bad enough as it is for the D class even during times of average activity, if anybody would like to mention the CCs, then the same is true for Gensec and shouldn't be a factor regardless. I'm also questioning Bal27 on an LCZ cloaker job which makes it kind of ridiculous, but not nearly as much as the prior changes I've mentioned.
  6. +/- Support I'm sure that with appropriate rules it could be a good addition, but I don't know about how well It'd fit into the Job Pack. I'd probably rather see it utilized as part of the branch, lvl 100 RRH job or something like that.
  7. +Support - Always did really well. Experienced, responsible and fair.
  8. -Support A good 912 is a nice source of getting CI to interrogate which adds to the RP. Three people with low/mid tier guns are enough to easily dispose of 912. When it comes to things being unfair.. a lot of stuff is, but people often use arguments like "It's a lvl 100 job" or "It's a heavily restricted job" even "It's a donator job" which isn't really a good explanation, however there'd be way less people complaining if 912 was something locked behind more than the low level requirement it is now. I also agree with most of the stuff quoted.
  9. +Support I've been saying and explaining that even before the mass weapon nerf.
  10. Hello everyone. I don't know how many of you saw this coming, but I've been planning this. A little over a month ago was my year annivesary since I joined Nu7 and at that time I've informed SA that I'll resign shortly after pushing out our branch update and making sure everything is fine with as well as organizing command the way I deemed appropriate, I've had some complaints, but I feel somewhat better about the state our branch is in right now and I've known that there's many reliable people who could take over after me. I want to mention that I'm not being forced out of my position in any way and that I'm leaving entirely out of my free will and partially due to IRL situation as our branch is quite a demanding one to run and while I don't have enough time for it, I still could remain on the server, it's also not like I'm leaving for the sake of something else. SHOUTOUTS to my Nu7 peepz! Excuse me if I forget about you, it may be just that I didn't know what to type or you weren't in Nu7, so sorry about that! I'm not leaving the server entirely, so only Nu7 gets dat shoutout! Dang - Great DoTF,/HCZ Manager, nice cooperation, someone I could always speak with about the branch. Django - We didn't know eachother for too long, but from the few interactions we had you were doing pretty good! MattO - CMDR from the time I started Nu7 and later great DoTF, good guy! Pillercat - Puts in good effort, I appreciate it! Yato - Good ol' face, we became command in Nu7 at the same time, best mutes forever! ItzGray - Often sounds like he's high, funny. Alex - Known him since my very first days in Nu7! Loves the branch. Zarl - Another of the people I've known for a very long time, he does well and cares a lot! Kiddo & Capfm - idk why but for the longest time in the early days I mistook you guys for eachother. Mark Robinson - Cool brother in the gang of silence! & others - Greets. May my resignation give others motivation! Byeee!
  11. Hello everyone, as many of you may have noticed, but mainly staff there's been a lot of issues with either people calling sits of questionable nature and in the "gray area" of the rules where you couldn't handle it properly due to lack of a clear answer and the fact no one could've been made guilty in the situation, the sits that could've been avoided altogether if only rules in the MOTD were more clarified. So, in order to take some of the burden off the staff and help lessen player frustration in the future due to either being unfairly punished or not getting your way due to the fact people didn't see rules the same way you did I'd like to post several interpretations of some rules that could use clarification in the MOTD and let the community give their feedback on what they think would be the best option. There's several rules I'd like to present in no particular order. The first rule I'd like to discuss, second part of it in particular. " Research and Utility personnel are classified as non-combatants, and are thus prohibited from attacking D-Class and CI personnel except in self defense, or in defense of other non-combatants only. D-Class that interfere with Site operations and are armed may be killed as long as it doesn't violate FearRP. " Here I'd like to ask a question, which of these options do people think should fall under this rule as currently this causes a lot of issues and isn't being enforced or encouraged to follow and has no place, since It's not clear what applies under "interfere with Site operations" 1. D class who are seen hacking CC doors of the SCPs and seen attempting to breach them could be engaged. 2. D class closing doors on the foundation personnel and preventing them from performing their current duty could be engaged. 3. D class purposefully distracting personnel during surgery/repairs/tests could be engaged. As you see each of those possible interpretations could potentially fall under this rule depending on who you ask, perhaps even all, but truth is people would still be discouraged from doing any of that or in some scenarios punished, just because it isn't clarified enough, I'm sure there's more cases where that rule could apply, but those are the only ones I came up with. The next rule I'd like to bring up and probably the most controversial at the moment. SCP-912 may attempt to arrest rule breakers and bring them to GENSEC or MTF personnel. There's more than one thing that has to be mentioned and taken into consideration here, first thing that I only see representatives of D class bring up when they're past the red line without a weapon and yell while being beaten "I don't have a weapon" is the fact we're missing one vital rule that should've been included in the MOTD long time ago, which is: 912 is allowed to use It's baton on rule breakers in order to arrest/cuff them. Pretty much all of the staff I've seen agrees with it and follow that unwritten rule, but clarifying it in the MOTD would take some burden off them with the D class reports. The other thing with 912 is the term "rule breakers" which is quite unclear to many and caused an issue recently, so as for the possible interpretations of what the ruleset 912 follows is and what people think it SHOULD be. (I just want to say I don't agree with all of those, but I've put other things in order to get feedback.) 1. Anyone who breaks their branch's SOP is considered a rule breaker and could be arrested by 912 as well as hostiles to the foundation. 2. Anyone who breaks Foundation's general rules is considered a rule breaker, such as harming eachother, breaching scp, assisting hostile forces as well as the hostiles themselves. 3. 912 follows a simple black and white set of rules, causing harm or trouble for another foundation member is considered rule breaking, as well as people hostile to the foundation. 4. Rule breakers are considered those violating legal code of the ordinary law, theft, murder, causing harm etc. are seen as violation of it and anyone could be arrested if witnessed doing so unrightfully. Third rule I'd like to ask opinion of everyone about. Never combat heal (Healing yourself or someone else while in an active shootout). To begin healing you must wait 7 seconds after you are no longer in an active shootout. Many times I've witnessed and heard of sits where this has been an issue in the past, regardless of the timer put on healing and what that issue was is the fact what's considered by the MOTD as an "active shootout" since a lot of people on the healing side of things simply consider it "7 seconds without taking damage" while the opposing side uses an argument of "You were still being shot at" So I'd like to ask you all what you consider as the end of an "active shootout". 1. Active shootout ends when the line of sight with the aggressor is broken and remains for as long as there's clear intent from the attacker to harm, the person cannot heal while running away. 2. Active shootout ends when the line of sight with the aggressor is broken, the person could heal while running away and on the move. 3. Active shootout could end while still in the line of sight for as long as the person healing and the person healed aren't being shot at themselves. 4. Active shootout doesn't end till the combat scenario in said location is over, entirety of the group has to be away from combat for said amount of time before they could start healing. Before anyone says anything, I didn't include "7 seconds without taking damage" because that'd take away completely from the term "active shootout" in my opinion. Not a rule, but rather entirely a lack of it for the final topic in this suggestion. Usage of 1048's knife for combat purposes. As I've played I've been hearing two conflicting things from staff and I'd like to ask everyone on what they think it should be included as: 1. 1048 could use It's knife in self-defense. 2. 1048 isn't allowed to use It's knife to attack anyone. I personally agree with the first option more, since otherwise it has no ability to defend itself while under KOS or when attacked by D class. I wouldn't see it as too much of an issue due to the fact It's a slow SCP that could easily be ran away from. If anyone has their own interpretations/clarifications for the rules I've mentioned I'd like for them to post those and I'll possibly add them to the current post for SMT to decide on, I could've only came up and typed so many of them. The sole purpose of this post is to make things more clear for everyone and help avoid confusion as well to take burden off staff and players alike, be it sits, warns or warn appeals that could've never took place, I'd really like to hear feedback from everyone and have most of the community to agree on a single thing for each of those rules. Color Legend Yellow - Important. Red - Separation between rules discussed. Blue - Potential clarifications/interpretations for the MOTD. Green - Inclusion of the rule.
  12. 1. What’s your In-Game Name? Otter/Lars 2. What’s your SteamID? STEAM_0:0:34212074 3. What is your Rank? Maintenance Expert (Otter) 4. Total strikes you’ve ever received? 0 5. How many warnings do you have on GL? 3 6. On a scale of 1-10, how active are you? I'd say 8 on a weekly scale. 7. Why do you believe you should become a Maintenance Command member (100+ words)? I believe that I could do more for the branch by joining ranks of command, people in it are great and I do want to give my support in order to help and improve it, I've been a member of command for Medical before and I'm currently the active Commander of Nu7, so I'd like to assume that I have more than enough experience necessary when it comes to being part of command. I look at my activity in various aspects of the branch and believe that I'd be able to do more and better once I acquire the position, including the fact I'd be able to track the activity of the enlisted and give them advice when others aren't able to like I've done for other branches I've been apart of. [The following questions are intended to test your response and ability as command. You must answer 2 (two) of the questions, though you may answer all 3 if you wish.] 8-1. A Utility Trainee has escaped the training room and is refusing to return, how would you handle this? First of all I would calmly try to speak to them and explain that they shouldn't be getting away on the trainee job and that it is against the rules and the fact it could cause problems for others, if that doesn't help I'll try to cuff them and warn them of the consequences if they don't comply, if that still didn't work I'd put them on DNT and use the demote command to get them off the trainee job. If the trainee was reported in a location and I couldn't reach them then I'd try messaging them directly, if no response was given after I've received multiple reports of the trainee running away I'd demote them and make sure the training room is closed before reapproaching them in case they flagged up on the trainee job later and act accordingly with what I've said first. 8-2. Some enlisted members have begun RDMing each other in bunks as a way to pass time, what would you do in this situation? Given the recent map change and the fact RDM in bunks is no longer possible I'd tell them to keep it down since the sound of guns and our tools could disturb other people. I wouldn't strike them unless they purposefully kept making it loud for prolonged amount of time or were continously attacking someone despite their clear demands to stop. Depending on the severity of their actions I'd give them a verbal warning or a just a reminder. 8-3. A Junior Maintenance is breaking multiple SOP rules such as improperly using tools and disregarding DEFCON rules, what are your next steps? Since they're new I'd explain to them all the rules they've broken and try to "retrain" them given it would be a genuine series of misunderstandings and lack of knowledge, after that if caught I'd follow up with a verbal warning and then proceed to a strike if it happened once again. In case I recognized their breaking of rules as intentional minging from my interaction I'd hand out the verbal warning while performing the same explaining procedure and be less hesitant upon upon witnessing it repeat as I'd hand out the strike.
