  1. Name: AR Fasten Rank: Associate Researcher SCP: 280/343 List of Personnel involved in testing: Myself, and a single RIG Unit Level D Personnel involved: None Risks/Safety Precautions: RIG Unit provided security Background Research: SCP 280 is a being a shadow, sensitive to light, and incredibly violent to all life. SCP 343 claims to be 'God', and is capable of incredible feats. What I’m teaching/testing: I wished to see how SCP 280 interacted with SCP 343, and vice versa. Observation: SCP 343 was instructed to enter the containment chamber for SCP 280. Upon doing so, the containment door was sealed, and auditory observation began. Shortly after closing the door, the sound of growling could be heard, followed by several heavy strikes and blows from within. Approximately 20 seconds after containment, SCP 343 appeared beside the RIG Unit acting as security. He claimed, in post test questioning, that SCP 280 "saw" His soul, looking through him in a sense, before he was attacked. Immediately after questioning concluded, SCP 343 vanished from Heavy Containment Zone. Conclusion: Fascinatingly enough, SCP 280 still attacked, implying that a target needn't be 'human', strictly speaking. Taking SCP 343's testimony into account, it seems possible that 280 has the ability to 'observe' victims on a metaphysical level. This might play into how it detects and tracks targets.
  2. Name: Junior Researcher Fasten Rank: Junior Researcher SCP: 173/1048 [527 was present, but did not participate in the test] List of Personnel involved in testing: Junior Researcher Jarrett, one MTF. Level D Personnel involved: One Class D [see report for more information] Risks/Safety Precautions: Armed personnel to ensure safety and containment. Background Research: SCP 173 has been shown to be incredibly aggressive and violent to all that come into contact with it. SCP 1048 is an animated teddy bear, with tendencies for collecting human ears. What I’m teaching/testing: Junior Researcher Jarrett was the creative mastermind of this test. The test aimed to see how SCP 173 and SCP 1048 interacted with each other in a closed space, as well as when observed. Observation: Be advised that the proceedings of this test were unorthodox from traditional SCP Foundation procedure. SCP 1048 seemed to have a keen interest in entering the SCP 173’s containment chamber prior to the beginning of this test. With SCP 1048, SCP 528, Junior Researcher Jarrett, and an MTF officer facing SCP 173’s containment door, I opened the door from within the control room. SCP 1048 was instructed to step inside the containment chamber with SCP 173, before the door was promptly closed. Sounds from within the chamber, consistent with those made from 173’s movement, could be heard from within. After a period of ten seconds, the containment door was opened once more. Recorded observations placed SCP 173 ‘frozen mid-action’ over SCP 1048. The pose appeared non-aggressive, and 1048 was reported ‘cuddling’ and climbing up the limbs of 173. The containment doors were closed for another period of ten seconds, before being reopened. This time, it appeared as though 173 and 1048 relocated to one of the cell corners, once more in a ‘cuddling’ position, with 1048 acting affectionately towards 173. The containment cell was closed once more, however, before it could be reopened for a final observation, the MTF officer was ambushed and terminated by an escaped Class D wielding a stolen shotgun. The Class D, whom as of this writing has not been identified, showed no further aggressions against Junior Researcher Jarrett, myself, nor SCP 527. While unorthodox, the Class D agreed to observe SCP 173 for a period long enough to retrieve SCP 1048 from the containment cell. Unfortunately, whether it was due to a lapse of concentration or unforeseen complications, SCP 173 swiftly emerged from it’s containment chamber, terminating the Class D. Junior Researcher Jarrett was able to escape into the control room with me, before 173 and 1048 fled into the adjacent hall. It was at this time that MTF reinforcements arrived, after a call was put out of a Euclid class containment breach. Junior Researcher Jarrett and myself offered to help in pacifying SCP 173, so that it might be safely recontained. To my own utter fascination, SCP 1048 remained close to 173 during it’s containment breach, appearing to guide him down hallways, in the direction of the Heavy Containment Zone checkpoint. Both SCP subjects were intercepted by further MTF units arriving from Heavy Containment, and the containment of 173 soon followed. 1048 retreated into 173’s containment chamber with the recontained SCP, and refused to leave when instructed to vacate the chamber. On-site MTF concluded that it was safer to leave 1048 contained with 173, until further notice. Conclusion: While SCP 173 has shown active hostility in all previous encounters, it acted curiously passive towards SCP 1048. More than that, it acted in ways that might even be interpreted as ‘affectionate’. Despite both SCP subjects lacking clear means of communication, the two appeared to have formed something of a ‘friendship’ with one another, with SCP 1048 going so far as to aid in SCP 173’s containment breach. 173 itself appeared less aggressive during this breach, instead opting for immediate escape from Foundation personnel, with notable exception given to the escaped Class D. This suggests that 173’s range of emotions and cognitive function might be more extensive and complex than initially theorized. It might also mean that 1048 possesses the ability to form emotional attachment with unlikely subjects. Further tests will need to be done to see if this behavior was an oddity or if it is a permanent change.
  3. Name: Junior Researcher Fasten Rank: Junior Researcher SCP: 1048/294 List of Personnel involved in testing: One security officer, one junior researcher Level D Personnel involved(if any): One Class D Risks/Safety Precautions: Guard was present and on sight for the test at all times. Background Research: SCP 294 can produce any liquid requested of it, regardless of hazard or danger. SCP 1048 will, on occasion, attempt to harvest human ears for the purpose of making a 'friend', a recreation of itself made of human ears. What I’m teaching/testing: The purpose of the test was to see if SCP 1048 would discriminate against ears that have suffered serious damage. In this test, the damage in question was severe burning. Observation: (Note: This test originally incorporated two Class D personnel. However, one of the escorted Class D broke free from his cuffs, before producing a knife and attempting to assault myself and the security officer present. The officer in question swiftly terminated the offending Class D, before volunteering to take his place. While highly irregular, the officer appeared eager to participate, knowing full well the dangers of personal injury. The test going forward was conducted with the officer assuming a less lethal variation of the role the terminated Class D would have fulfilled. End note.) Entering the containment chamber for SCP-294 was myself, the Class D, the attending officer, and SCP-1048. To begin, I input "LAVA" into SCP-294. When the 'drink' was produced, the Class D was instructed to drink from the produced cup. As expected, this consumption resulted in his swift termination, as his form burst into flames, as expected. When the flames settled, SCP-1048 was instructed to approach the remains of the Class D. Upon doing so, 1048 appeared to 'prod' at the deceased form for a few seconds, before beginning the process of harvesting it's ears. Once harvested, it approached the security officer still within the containment chamber, and made an unsuccessful attempt to harvest his ears as well. It was at this point that I instructed both parties to vacate the containment chamber. Conclusion: It would appear that SCP-1048 was still willing to collect human ears that had suffered from severe burns. This suggests the possibility that SCP-1048 merely needs human ears that are mostly intact, regardless of the condition it finds them in. Further testing may be required to determine if there is a 'threshold' for which ears become undesirable to SCP-1048, if such a state even exists.
  4. Lore Name: Junior Researcher Fasten Rank: Junior Researcher SCPs: SCP-173/SCP-066 Question / Idea: My aim was to test whether or not the eyes that are affixed to SCP-066 could halt SCP-173 from moving, as if it were being observed, and if there was any shift in movement at any point during observation from SCP-066. Background Research: SCP-173 has demonstrated an inability to move while being directly observed. It can, however, move incredibly swiftly when not observed, such as when the observer blinks. SCP-066 is, in it's current form, a ball of yarn with several eyeballs attached at random, unblinking. Hypothesis: I believe SCP-066 may possess the ability to impede the movement and actions of SCP-173. Observations: One Class D, and SCP-066, were brought into the containment cell of SCP-173, before the doors were sealed. The Class D was instructed to look away from SCP-173 once the doors were closed, while SCP-066 was instructed to do the opposite. Initial results appeared promising, as the Class D continued to speak through the containment cell door, citing nothing out of the ordinary happening. However, after an estimated fifteen seconds, the sound of rustling concrete, and crunching bone, interrupted the Class D's words. Opening the containment cell confirmed that the Class D had been terminated by SCP-173. Curiously enough, it seemed to hold no special interest in SCP-066, whom was swiftly escorted from the cell, before resealing SCP-173 inside. Evidence/Visual Stimuli: N/A Analysis / Conclusion: Based on auditory observation, it initially seemed as though SCP-066 was able to successfully deter SCP-173's movement. Given the delay between sealing the chamber doors, and the termination of the Class D, this suggests a few possibilities. Perhaps the eyes attached to SCP-066 are 'blind', effectively non functional, and do not impede SCP-173's progress. Another possibility is that SCP-066 experiences a 'break' in observation, not dissimilar to how one 'blinks'. It is also possible that the Class D delayed in looking away from SCP-173 after being instructed to do so. Further testing may be required, but initial results show promise. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: At the present moment, I'm inclined to say 'no'. Again, further testing may shed more light on the subject.
