@Nicc The premise is to remove the re spawn function when EMS is active, the replacement with making a sit is just an option for what can go in place of the respawn option. What I’m hoping for primarily with this suggestion is to remove the ability to respawn while EMS is online. Even since making this post I’ve seen sits for players respawning while EMS is on. Once the sit is made the player may be given an OOC punishment but as for the RP, it’s discontinued. The -supports I have seen so far are in response to technical issues in making this happen and are focussed on the staff sit option, but generally speaking it’s a matter of disallowing respawning while EMS is online..

+ Support Definitely agree in regards to getting new content for criminals, the alcohol one you suggested is good as it requires attention rather than afking and generating millions. It would be cool perhaps if there was a script for something criminals can make but also sell to other criminals with some sort of benefit, like cocaine and it gives you a boost in speed or something. Just throwing out ideas. Anyways, I agree that it would be beneficial to get some new content for crims. +

What you want to see? - The option to pay money to respawn replaced with the option to make a report. Why should we add it? - There aren't many valid reasons for respawning when EMS is on unless the EMS online isn't responding and occasionally people will respawn when they have been RDMd. Both of these can be avoided by adding an option to make a sit rather than calling EMS. E.G, if you are RDMd or EMS isn't active then you can select the report option and staff can demote the EMS or deal with the sit. I am making this suggestion because i recently played EMS ( just as a probationary medic ) and when i compared the amount of code 4's due to death over the radio compared to the amount of EMS calls actually made, the ratio was pretty weak. I don't really see much downside to this as although people find waiting to respawn annoying, it means that EMS would have more calls, and RP situations would be carried out fully rather than a police chase taking place and to avoid getting arrested the perp just jumps out, pulls a gun, gets killed, and respawns. There is the rebottle that you can simply make a report on people who do respawn while EMS is active, but my argument is, why not just prevent respawns happening in the first place. What are the advantages of having this? - More value for life, More RP being carried out fully, More EMS calls, Less sits needing to take place about respawning. I don't really see any disadvantages, but i may be wrong. Who is it mainly for? - The server as a whole, players will have more value for life when EMS is on and they know they will be arrested still if they get shot. However, in the last few months I have returned, initially with the same goal in mind, (with a few other prospects such as trying other departments). since I came back, I have been actively patrolling on PD and attending meetings whenever I have free time, which recently has been quite a bit. At each rank I have referred to the specific guidelines on what should be worked on and made sure that I am knowledgeable on every aspect of being an effective police officer. Although I did this to improve my skills, I believe it will become helpful if I receive this promotion in order to assist both enlisted and supervisors while patrolling. When on duty, I make sure to check if there are cadets online or officers in need of a ride-along , as I wish to see the PD grow in numbers even more than it has and ensure that everyone who has joined is operating effectively. Although I like to disperse my time between FBI departments and PD, I think it would be fair to say that I am an active member of the PD, which if accepted for this promotion would allow me to direct my time into helping the command team. What i was meaning to say is the bind does work having tested it. My only concern was that by some chance it didn't work, but i generally check to make sure the advert has gone through before acting which is why im pretty convinced i adverted.

I have no proof, but i am pretty sure i adverted, there is a chance the bind i made didn't work, but i murdered one person prior and the bind did show the advert in chat. Again i couldn't say certainly of whether it worked or not but i do know that i pressed the bind to murder because i remember trying to figure out which button I bound it to. Sorry if im wrong but i am pretty certain. The ban should be over soon anyways so im not too fussed.

However, essentially what happened was, I was playing as a murderer for the first time, I found someone in an area where no one was near, the ten minute cool down was long past, and i decided to advert murder on the guy. Once I adverted i pulled a shotgun out and proceeded to attempt to murder him. I was unsuccessful, at which point I went AFK. I can't speak in regard to the sit as i wasn't present, but if you check the time of the combat/ the time of the advert, im sure it would clear things up! Thanks for reading.

As explained in previous replies, this isn't particularly about putting event in your name. It's more to do with making events more organised and professional. As said prior, events currently are fine, but for such a small change as adding an extra job, that would have more pros than cons, including more event participation, it seems like a missed opportunity. Having seen other servers that have some form of a 'click to join the event', their events some times pull up to a third of the server, whereas currently on GL its more like 5-6 players or even 3-4. This is of course just one idea, however, it would be great to find some ways to stimulate activity in events as more participants would make them more exciting and would expand the type of events that can be hosted. I think it would be worth a shot implementing this and seeing if it has an affect, which I believe it would.

Regarding your question Soup - With the event players all spawning in one location, you can easily tell them to put event in their name once they have spawned in, my thoughts here where that, in quite a few events, it seems players misunderstand how to join (by putting event in name). By them all being made into the event job, they are not left out, and there you can inform them to put event in their name. It's nothing amazing, but its a small quality of life improvement for preventing people getting left out of events and providing a way to easily see how many people are in your event. In addition to the no one being left out part, with the president election type advertisement that there is an event happening, 'Press yes to join' maybe' , there is a slim chance of anyone who is not afk missing the event, which could hopefully improve player counts in events making them more exciting.
