  1. Lore Name: Cycloax Steam ID:76561198150447470 Rank: AR Activity level: 4/10
  2. Name: Cycloax Rank: Junior Researcher SCP: 173 1.Question/Idea: Is SCP-173 aware of our feelings towards it? Would it react to compassionate gestures? Does it ever hesitate even in the slightest before murdering its victims? 2.Background Research: What's known so far about its behavior is that he snaps the neck or strangles a subject to death when eye contact is completely broken. There has been research conducted within the awareness of SCP-173, but it's very limited due to the fact that many test subjects are killed not long after the beginning of the observation. 3.Hypothesis: SCP-173 will not react and proceed to execute the nearest living thing upon breaking of eye contact no matter the gesture. 4.Observations: The D-class presented itself in front of SCP-173 and proceeded to compliment the entity and even hugging it at one point. The subject appeared to tremble in fear and have a shaky voice in the process with a nonexcessive amount of sweat. Furthermore, as the D-class reluctantly inched their way to the stone wall of SCP-173, there was a pause amongst the personnel outside the room and all that was heard was a roaring snap. The neck of the D-class appeared to be completely snapped in half, with his head hanging off of what seemed like just purely barren tissue and excessive blood was spilled amongst the hard, cold floor. D-class appeared to be completely dead with the entity standing above him showing no reaction to its actions or the corpse. 5.Evidence/Visual Stimuli: N/A 6.Analysis/Conclusion: SCP-173 had shown no expressions or reactions to any of the stimuli presented and proceeds to be a mystery of its awareness. Killing is all it seems to know even if there's no malicious intent. That goes for almost all living entities within the same room. No particular cause to why SCP-173 killed the D-class. 7. Was your hypothesis correct?: Yes.
