  1. In-Game Name: Names SteamID:STEAM_0:0:137772708 Rank: Mod Reason for leaving: Lost interest / burnt out Do you agree to stay active for 48 hours after this post? Yes Do you agree to contact your Manager/Head of Staff once your 48 hour notice is up? Yes Do you agree, that after you put this up, there are no "take backs"? Yes I still recommend anyone joins the event team it is and always will be my fav experience on gaminglight! Thank you event team leads!
  2. For anyone above mentioning that tunning with a 20 pound shield at the same speed of others being realistic it isnt. A 20 pound flat surface is cumbersome and un aerodynamic and causes drag which is not negligible. Running with a large shield would also be unprobable in the real world due to humans using our arms to balance ourselves against the inertia cauaed by running and jumping. (Think of when you jump how you use your arms to push yourself upwards.) Finally in response to chipdail. No real police dont run into ANY situation they go through it slowly and only under favorable conditions and circumstances. Ideally at night with obscured vision and at a slow pace to prevent injury. Running in is not a police tactic and never has been one. Attached below is a link to a video demonstrating how shields are used.
  3. What you want to see? - Government Shield Rule Update Tactical Shields IRL are heavy and bulky and any gov who wants to use them must not be allowed to full sprint with one (walk only). This should be treated as FailRP Government who use shields during a situation may only switch to their sidearm (pistol or shotgun) and must wait an additional 5 seconds before switching to a primary weapon. This should also be treated as FailRP Why should we add it? - Realism and balance. Here is a situation which occurred : Context: Shadow Legacy is Doing a Money Silo with 20 Members Crim has a good grasp of the situation and government is rapidly losing members to sniper fire. Multiple mustard gas grenades are deployed to mixed results and the situation is in a stalemate. Government then throws a single mustard gas grenade and sprint in with 3 shields which block gunfire as they reach the door they immediately switch to a battering ram to instantly break down the door then repeat that for the rest of the doors. As they reach the end they switch to LMGs ARs and Shotguns and blow up the Silo What are the advantages of having this? - Realism and balance Who is it mainly for? - Crim Links to any content - N/A
  4. +support We live in a digital world and not being able to use a phone is unrealistic and unfair to criminals.
  5. Bye Nick Hunter, you made fun events
  6. Problem: When a player reaches 10 warns they get a ban automatically, however at 20 warns they do not and they can keep causing trouble with reports usually taking a day to process. Example: john doe is mass propminging while LTAPing and only some T Mods and a Mod are on he keeps getting warned and reaches his 30th warn he continues to do it for another 60 minutes untill someone eventually bans him for 1 month. Solution: Add a small 1 day ban to every increment of 10 warns so that they can be off the server and stop causing trouble while a higher up processes a punishment. Example: john doe is mass propminging while LTAPing and only some T Mods and a Mod are on he keeps getting warned and reaches his 30th warn he gets a 1 day ban and after making a report he gets a 1 month ban. Reasoning: If a player is angry at a staff member for warning them this could stop a larger situation and gives everyone involved some time to cool down and re assess the situation.
  7. Dallas 30 Warns Redneck Dallas - Ban Request Your In-game: Names The player's name in-game: Red Neck Dallas The player's steam ID (required): STEAM_0:0:199448706 What did the player do: NLR | Player Dis | RDM | LTAP Evidence (REQUIRED): https://imgur.com/a/xRqijmw What do you believe should happen to the player: 1 Month Ban as per the Rules Any extra information: Even though he only had 1 RDM Victim in his combat logs it was evident that a lot of the kills he had made were a form of RDM or NLR
  8. +Support M24 is a bolt action that shoots as far as a pistol
  9. I am the last of my interview trainees left now. Sad to see you go again
  10. +/- Support + Support if it doesn't lag servers - makes the server unnecessarily graphic
  11. +support Any weapon crim has, gov has a better version of Negev vs DFs LMG Barrett Vs Explo Barrett / Barrett / AWP MP5 Vs MP5SD As Val Vs G36C /\ All above guns are available on default classes by gov amd have to be bought by crim aside from the negev. Gov should have some better weapons and overall stronger weapons but at this point we are fighting the military instead of the police. On top of that gov has 2-3x the armour crim has and can run faster then crim.
  12. -Support FBI needs to protect something and President is more logical to protect then a governor
  13. +heavy support Especially now since swat became more active TAC departments are stampeding over crims like it is nothing. This isnt because the crims are less skilled or under manned. The TAC have always had stronger weapon by default on their classes and that shouldn't change. I know some departments have complained about there not being enough crime to do and that is because crims wont do crime if they know they can't win. Gov can already use any weapon crims have and more. In reality governenments pay a lot of money for standardized equipments and criminals use whatever they get their hands on such as automatic weapons, rifles, snipers and more. The government is assigned weaponry while crims chose it. Criminals have also been know to improvise various weapons together, whether it be shivs in prisons or explosives in terrorist groups. Governments spend money on precision where criminals adapt. Donations fuel the server and the fact the criminals choices are heavily restricted just dont really make sense. I know for a fact that an anonymous member of UMC likened Solomon's rushing tactics as equal to 7 officers no player needs or even should be comparable to 7 people.
  14. What you want to see? - Negotiators should not be allowed to use the text based radio while doing negotiations (they can still read it) Why should we add it? - Its illogical when people are close to you you should be able to hear them, however you cant at the moment. Solution for no mic: /advert [Negotiation Radio] : (Message) What are the advantages of having this? - The government would have to officially end negotiations or at least leave the general vicinity to call off negotiations or face the prospect of calling off negotiations infront of heavily armed people. Who is it mainly for? - Crims/Gov Links to any content - N/A
  15. What you want to see? - Discord should not be considered metagame Why should we add it? - IRL we live in a world where communication is easy amd free, cellphones, smartphones, social media and forums such as this beey forum allow for rapid communication. When crims are allowed to communicate it leads to more strategic decisions and allows for more interesting encounters for police. Ambushes and other plans become more plausible and LEAs have a bit more to worry about. It is a logical change as not everything can be discussed in-game or shared. When crims have to kidnap we have to strip comms and panic to make sure nothing happens and so should Gov when we are wanted for major crimes What are the advantages of having this? - More roleplay potential Less time wasted of staff sits Its a commonly broken rule and doesn't hugely affect gameplay. Who is it mainly for? - Crim Links to any content - N/A LEA=Law Enforcement Agency
  16. +Support This is an annoying thing that families have to deal with and are told to practically "put up" with it.
