Dispute: So, I was kind of new to the server (1 hour of playtime - at least thats what they told me), and I had seen this family going around called the Cox family. They told me to join them so I did, and we were going around and committing crime like criminals then my power went out. I went and made a sandwich and came back and none of the Cox family was online, I was able to catch a glimpse in the chat as I loaded in saying "imagine if Chippy Cox was ddossing the server," after seeing this I took Cox out of my name (made it whatever I could think of quickest - "Icicle12"). Then I was brought to a roof and this admin told me that I knew who I was and that I was a alt. I asked what a alt of and I didn't understand what was happening. They told me it was obvious because I was in the Cox family and they had been blacklisted for being alts. What I don't understand is that the fact that I was in a family gives the jurisdiction to permanently ban a player off of your server off of the assumption that they are a alt, with no actual proof. I asked for a link to the ban appeal and he said " you can appeal it and provide evidence your not a alt." What I don't understand is that i'm supposed to take the ban then provide evidence that i'm not a alt, when really they should be the ones providing the evidence that I am a alt. There was like 5 of us all together in one car, he said I was talking (which I was not) many of them were talking at once and it may have been easy for him to think that I was talking (them thinking that I was talking and had a voice like a blacklisted member). I don't know and understand why I was banned, I did not know these players were blacklisted, or that merely being in a family with them would have me banned from the server for being a "alt".
I can understand their point of view but I feel like the ban was made primarily off of a assumption and not with any actual circumstantial evidence to put them past the reasonable doubt.
