  1. Welcome to the Club! Enjoy retirement Akrew. You've done a great many things for Security, and I think we've left it in capable hands
  2. Welp, I don't want to write this whatsoever, but the time has come. My living situation is precarious when it comes to playing on the server day to day, and the times my living situation aren't a problem, I have work or other projects that I need or want to do over the server. I absolutely loved playing as Security for the past year and a half, and I would continue to do so if life would permit it. Hell, I wanted to stick around until Security Janitors were a thing, but there's nothing I can do on that end. Security is in good hands, and I can leave without feeling like the branch will go to shit I'd put some last callouts to people here, but the list of people to write to would be unbearably long, and I don't want to make someone feel left out somehow by not including them, so I'll just leave it with this. Thank you to everyone I interacted with during my time on the server, I've had an absolute blast and look forward to the future, if there comes a time where I may return. But until that time comes, I bid you adieu! (I may still be around as Staff if I can get some control on my schedule) P.S. Best of luck Light! Sorry I wasn't able to pop on same time as you during this week to help out, but hopefully you were able to find your way around CMD just fine, which I think you'll be an excellent fit in CMD
  3. 1. Steam Name?: [GL]Coolcaz11 2. Steam ID?: STEAM_0:0:107638983 3. Roster Name?: Coolcaz 4. Current Rank?: CPT 5. When were you demoted?: December 30th 6. How long have you been a member of GENSEC (roughly)?: Since September of 2020, so a wee bit 7. Do you promise to uphold all rules instated by Gaminglight and by the many Security guidelines?: Quite 8. Do you promise to uphold your duties as a command member in leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, etc.?: As per usual 9. Do you promise that you will listen and respect your lower / higher rankings?: Mmm Yes 10. Why do you want to become a senior command member? (150 WORDS+): As I wrap up my Finals here, it's time once again to lay bare why I want to become senior command once again. As Senior Command, there are more opportunities opened up to me that I'm able to utilize, such as being able to choose our upcoming WOs, and having a much bigger say in the changes and upgrades that come along to Security, even inputting new and fresh ideas. Along with this, SCMD gives me a chance to continue to climb to be able to do even more for Security. My main goal is to make sure Security is in the best spot it can be, and the only way this will be possible is through the higher positions, such as SCMD. I have been Security SCMD twice now, and in both times I could already tell that there was more I could do for the branch than in positions previous. 11. What would you do if a Security Officer was constantly leaving D Block?: I would promptly take the Officer, pull him off to the side, and question him on why he's leaving D-Block. If he tries to lie his way out of it, or gives a bunch of sass/attitude back in response, I will inform them of their removal from the Officer position. If they are honest, or seem oblivious to the fact they aren't supposed to be leaving LCZ, I would leave them off with a verbal, and keep an eye to make sure this doesn't happen again. As a precaution, I'd also go over a few basic rules of Security, just to make sure they understand and don't get in more trouble for breaking those. 12. What would you do if an NCO kept on leaving d-block with terrible reasons?: After reading up on the NCOs past, making sure there weren't other problems or even strikes, I would pull the NCO to a private TS channel, and question them on the real reason why. As with the D-Class, if a bunch of sass is given in retort, or the same terrible reasons are given, I will hand them a lovely demotion back down to the rank of CPL, seeing as they don't seem fit yet to be an NCO member, and will hopefully learn from their mistake. If the NCO is honest, or the reasons do turn out to be reputable, I may leave the NCO with a verbal warning, (Secret code at: Q11, ****/attitude) along with either making sure to keep him on watch, and a Strike as well if the situation deems it so. If they are a higher ranking NCO (Senior NCO+), I may still hand out a demotion, though this will only be a one-rank demotion, though again, matters on the severity. 13. What do you do if an E-11 private comes into d block and attempts to take command of all of the security?: I'd snatch the E11 Private who so boldly try to take the reins of D-Block, and let him know that he has no jurisdiction inside. I will then let him enter back and politely ask for what he needs, if he needed anything at all, and if further problems arise, he will be expunged from D-Block for the time, and reported to E11 Command for his insubordination and overall rudeness. 14. Explain the process of promoting a corporal to sergeant in your own words: Ah, the great process of old, hasn't changed much since I first wrote these applications. As it usually goes, I'd first congratulate them on a job well done, and proceed onto the new power and responsibilities they must fulfill. As a SGT, I would let them know they can now call protocols on Code Black and Code Orange. I would also go over that they can now give permission to enlisted (OFCs-CPLs) to go anywhere in LCZ, along with allowing CPLs to head into HCZ, for good reasons. They also will have the ability to lead patrols inside of LCZ, which I would heavily emphasize to do when possible. Following up, this new SGT can leave D-Block without perms, but with good reason, along with being able to assign escorts and D-Class to researchers that come along. From this point, I would get them the NCO tag in Discord, and show them the activity log channel, letting them know how that works, and to make sure to include Security CCs in their reports. To wrap things up, they'd be set up with their forums account, informed that they can join Sniper and FTO, and make sure they know they can join Wardens(LCPL+) and Jugg(CPL+) if they haven't already. Once all these processes are completed, I'd whitelist them accordingly, and send them on their merry way along with the NCO guide. To end it off, I'd get a drink of water 15. Why Security Janitors Should Seriously Exist: Come on guys, D-Block is nasty as all hell, both upper and lower, we need some janitors in there ASAP to clean it up. Who better than Security to don a mop and broom and brave those wilds! Could be great interactions for the Sec Janitors and D-Class, and shit would be downright hilarious. Security Janitors will rise one day... Ah, another application, and of course it's when I'm finishing up Finals as well. Funnily enough, last app happened at the time of my Midterms, how lovely. But I digress. I want to say thank you to anyone who has actually read this far and taken the time to read through my messages. For a bit of bonus fun, and to see if anyone is even reading these, comb through my questions 1-14 and see if you can find the hidden code! If you find, post it in your message, but don't release the secret to any who ask! But besides the fun scavenger hunt I've put in here, I wish to add this last section. For those that wish to still oppose my joining Senior Command, whether ye be retired CMD, or some member from the seven seas, I wish to make it known that not much has changed. I'm still the same person I was when I first joined Security back in 2020, and even before when I ran around as a D-Class and CI. My time cannot be fully dedicated to this server, though I will still give Security as much attention as possible. Especially this summer, I'm trying to learn Blender and more on Unity, in the hopes I can create some games of me own to throw out there into the world. I will be around for a long, long time, so no matter what reservations anyone may have for more, let it be known that I will always be here, until Security is the very best it can be. Even if Security Janitors get added, that's not enough, and I'll still be around to continue this branches life span. So to reiterate, I am still the same man I was years ago, and will continue to be so, inactive or not... THE LOATHSOME DUNG EATER

  5. You can thank Tuffy for the Eye Ball removal. The D-Class now has eggs for eyes, yay https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Luxl8uSEujFDO28DcLzvblJB9P3ZnzOtXDQBD54XOUU/edit?usp=sharing
  6. Roster Name: AR Coolcaz Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:107638983 Current Rank: Associate Researcher Activity Level (Out of 10): 10 Notes: I only put 10 because I've been on the job the whole time before writing this XD It'll probably be more like a 6 since I got other branch duties
  7. First Test Log! Long story short, cut off Subject D-330-02s hands, and then proceeded to test on SCP 330 with the Subject https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QCpQF9TV0Y-mZ6ch06yE8-qbVyTyUDPxYHHb1MGW6tU/edit#

  9. Name: Coolcaz Warden Name (If Applicable): N/A Rank: CPT Length of LOA (MM/DD-MM/DD): 4/4 - 4/8 Reason for LOA: Got exams this week, wanna take the time off to study for them and just be able to focus on completing them. See you peeps in a few days! (If anyone needs anything, I'm still available to talk and whatnot, just won't be on the server too much)
  10. + Support While Security Swat may not have seen the light of day, I'm happy to see that many of the ideas from it, such as the weapon cache raid, were inherited from it XD I think H.U.L.K may be a bit much with the miniguns, but we'll see how it performs. Besides that, let's get Security Janitors in the next update!
  11. 1. Steam Name?: [GL]Coolcaz11 2. Steam ID?: STEAM_0:0:107638983 3. Roster Name?: Coolcaz 4. Current Rank?: CPT 5. When were you demoted?: December 30th 6. How long have you been a member of GENSEC (roughly)?: Since September of 2020, so roughly a year and a half 7. Do you promise to uphold all rules instated by GamingLight and by the many Security guidelines?: As per usual 8. Do you promise to uphold your duties as a command member in leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, etc.?: Always 9. Do you promise that you will listen and respect your lower / higher rankings?: Yee 10. Why do you want to become a senior command member? (150 WORDS+): Quick disclaimer, I've been studying all weekend for my upcoming midterms, and my brain is a bit fried at the moment, so this is written with the last overworked brain cell. I would like to become Senior Command once more because of the sheer number of new avenues and opportunities that arise with being SCMD. The decisions that SCMD make vs LCMD are astronomically different, and the amount of influence and prestige that is given to SCMD is something I would like to strive to obtain once more. I have and always will have Security's best intentions in mind, while also keeping the Foundation as a whole in mind, and so when it comes to big changes and new ideas, I can push so much more for them, and push my own ideas further than I ever could have as a CPT. There are always new and inventive ways of improving Security's experience, whether it be job changes, additions, changes to our PTs, incorporating new activities and events for Security, all of which can be obtained so much easier through a higher position. At the end of the day, a position in Senior Command would allow me to accomplish so much more, but I wholeheartedly understand if I have to stay in LCMD for a longer time. I know my bouts of inactivity are always a concern, and I don't have any reassurances about those stopping altogether, because life always changes. I'm in college, getting a Computer Science Degree in order to go out into the world and create Video Games of all things. Between my schoolwork and my own self-work to improve my coding and creation skills, I'm not always going to have time to spare for the server. I can offer a different assurance, though. No matter how many more times in the future I may find myself being unable to play Gmod, these times pass as easily as they come up, which I make up for with as insane of activity as I can muster, and even throughout these times of inactivity, I'm still thinking about Security, whether it be new PT ideas, job ideas, rule changes, the different members of the server, all of it is always in my thoughts. Security will always be a priority of mine, and no matter what happens, I will always be here for Security. 11. What would you do if a Security Officer was constantly leaving D Block?: I would first consult any active NCOs or Command present, and acquire their accounts of the Officer. From there, I would pull the Officer off to the side and try to figure out what they were doing. If the Officer was fresh off the block, and seemed innocent in the matter, I would inform them that they need permission from a SGT+ in order to leave D-Block, and send them on their merry way, while keeping an eye on them. If the Officer was already told this by any of the NCOs or Command I've talked to, a punishment would be in order for leaving D-Block. If the Officer has caused any other problems, or just seems inattentive when I'm reprimanding him, I would remove him and inform him he can be retrained when he decides to stop goofing around. Otherwise, I would create a watch list for the Officer, and make sure that myself and the other higher powers on keep a close eye on his actions. 12. What would you do if an NCO kept on leaving d-block with terrible reasons?: First, I'd check to see if the NCO has caused any problems in the past, whether a watch list was created, or a strike was put onto him for any previous actions. Once I've self-informed myself, I would get the NCO hopefully in TS to go to a different channel, and talk over with him about why he keeps shirking his duties. If the NCO gives me an honest answer, and promises he will clean up his act, then I'll let him off with a warning, keeping a personal eye to make sure he doesn't do it again. Otherwise, if the NCO tries to lie through his teeth, or continues to stick with his terrible reasons for leaving D-Block, then I would assess that he is not ready to have the power of an NCO, and demote him back to an Enlisted rank, informing him that if he keeps it up, removal could be in his future. 13. What do you do if an E-11 private comes into d block and attempts to take command of all of the security?: I'd yoink the private out into the intersection, and inform him that D-Block is under Security's jurisdiction, and he holds no authority within those grounds. If the private understands, and will play nice with the rest of Security, I would allow him to come back in D-Block if he so wishes, but otherwise, I would contact E-11 Command and have them dish out an appropriate punishment, while making sure the private in question doesn't try to storm back into D-Block to continue his parade. 14. Explain the process of promoting a corporal to sergeant in your own words: The process of promoting a CPL to SGT can be a lengthy one, but for good reason. For me, I would start off with congratulating the newly promoted SGT, offering to answer any preliminary questions before beginning the training. Once questions have been answered, the new SGT must first know his new authority and responsibilities. As an NCO, they can now leave D-Block without permission, and go into LCZ and HCZ, under good reasons. They can also give Enlisted permission to leave D-Block, along with giving CPLs permission to go to HCZ, not to mention assign escorts and D-Class to researchers. The new SGT can also lead patrols around LCZ, so long as D-Block is secure, and there are enough Security left over to hold D-Block. Going forward, the SGT can now call protocols on Code Orange/Black, and I would make sure they have some basic binds created for these protocols. After all this, I would get to the nitty-gritty with them. As an NCO, we expect them to be able to start taking charge, leading D-Block and serving as a shining example as some of the best of Security. Of course, we're not pressuring them in this case, but the more they do take charge and show leadership, the brighter their futures. Finally, I would show them the activity logs channel in Discord after giving them their NCO tags, letting them know how logs work, finishing up with giving them the NCO guide and going over/elaborating on our Combat Procedures if they so wish. Before bidding them farewell, I would inform them that they can now become a Security Sniper, along with becoming a Field Training Officer, and ask if they would like to be trained in either. That concludes the lengthy process of a CPL-SGT promotion Welp, don't got much time left after writing all that, but to be fair I'm pulling an all-nighter anyways for my exam tomorrow morning, so I still got some time to write some extra tidbits. I've written 6 or 7 of these SCMD applications (I think the parts began on my 2nd, but I can't keep track), and boy do they not get any shorter. I know my reasoning for wanting to be a SCMD are quite lengthy, so for those who may not want to read through all that, I'll give a quick synopsis on what I want to be known. My activity is never gonna be completely stable, and I want to make sure that's known. I will always care for Security, whether that's through the position as a member of LCMD, or through the position of SCMD. Whatever happens, D-Block is such a chaotic place, and Security get front-row seats to it, which is something I would never miss. One day, I won't be able to dedicate time here, but that day is still a ways away, so until that day does arrive, I'll continue to be here, helping out Security however I can. Thank you very much for reading through my wonderland of an application, and thank you to those who have Security's interests at heart. To wrap this up, let's get a bit lighthearted, yeah? 15. Why Security Janitors Should Exist: Security Janitors would be the best edition this branch has ever seen, being a class that would keep D-Block spotless, both Upper and Lower. Janitors would be fitted with a mop, vacuum, and small-arms weaponry, being considered a Combatant class, though a weak one at that. Janitors NLR would be reduced, to help make sure D-Block is keeping spick and span! And think of it like this. They'd be the perfect cannon fodder for bloodthirsty D-Class to munch on in Lower D-Block while the rest of Security would be able to recuperate and set up. And hey, who doesn't like a clean facility? Hit me up Maintenance Yes, I added a Security Janitors section, it had to happen XD Back to studying for me, you all have a good night, and get some sleep! I know I won't be...
  12. Name: Coolcaz Rank: CPT SteamID (Ex: STEAM_0:1:174348602): STEAM_0:0:107638983 Current Sub-Branches your in: FTO, Juggernaut, Sniper, Riot Control Why should you retain your rank (Command ONLY | 150+ words): Ah, the age-old question that has been answered in god knows every way possible. Welp, the reason why I believe I should still retain my rank in Command is because of my undying love for Security. This has been the branch I have and will always care for, and I pour every ounce of that into my command duties. Without my role as command, I would not be able to have any say in the changes and growth of Security, and that's something that would break me. With my role as command, I'm able to lead an example for up-and-coming Security, showing them the fun that can be had in Security, and all the ins and outs, something that may not have been given to me or other fellow Security. Also, I wouldn't be able to host any wacky and innovative PTs, trying to push what is the norm and create something beautiful for Security. As it stands now, I do not believe that Security is the best it can be, but trust me, while I am still command, I will do whatever is within my power to help Security in any way possible. Also, if I wasn't command, I wouldn't be able to push for Security Janitors, and that is not an option. Any Notes, Questions, or Concerns?: Security Janitors Where?
  13. The reason why you were banned for a few days was more specifically because of who you demoted. If it was just one or two random people, it would've been just a formal warning, but you had demoted staff while they were in the middle of a sit (along with a few others), disrupting it altogether. I had taken the ban request from whomever had warned you, and had looked over the evidence and decided that only 3 days was good, though it was requested to be much more. I'm personally okay if you're unbanned early, and thank you for your apology. Whether you get unbanned or have to wait the 2 days, please don't be abusing something like the demotion system, much less demoting on-duty staff. Thank you!
  14. Name: Coolcaz Rank: Experienced Medic Activity (1-10): 3 Why should you keep your rank (SM+): Any Notes: Sorry for the shit activity in this department, I've been getting buttfucked with school work and self interests that kinda veered me off, not to mention having to show some activity with Security when I am on the server, but I still love playing Medical. Also, Nefario is a nerd
