  4. Lore Name: Eli Rank: Junior Researcher SCP: 012 Question / Idea: Will containing SCP-012 in ultraviolet or infrared lights make it possible to be viewed without causing subjects to try to complete it using their blood? Background Research: SCP-012 is a musical score named "On Mount Golgotha" which causes subjects to try and finish the composition using their own blood. Hypothesis: If using ultraviolet or infrared lights to view SCP-012 then the subject will still attempt to finish the composition because it is still visible in some capacity. Observations (What Happened During Test): Using three D-Class subjects the first was placed in view of SCP-012 under normal lighting. The subject immediately fell into insanity and began trying to finish the composition. The subject was given to the proper medical personell to be treated and given amnestics. The second subject was exposed to SCP-012 under ultraviolet lighting. The subject did not become insane or stimulated until instructed to move much closer to SCP-012 where they began to show the same symptoms as the first subject, the second subject was dealt with the same way. The third and final subject was placed in the same circumstances under infrared lighting. This subject never showed signs of insanity no matter how close they got to SCP-012 even going as far as to touch SCP-012 before being apprehended to not damage the artifact. The third D-Class was administered amnestics and sent back to D-Block Evidence/Visual Stimuli: N/A Analysis / Conclusion (What Could Of Caused The Results): It is my belief that the reason the D-Class reacted differently under ultraviolet lighting and infrared lighting is due to the difference in wavelength from visible light. Ultraviolet wavelength being much shorter makes it harder to see under but it is still doable. Due to infrareds long wavelength it may have some affect on the way SCP-012 affects an organisms eyes or thinking. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: No, my hypothesis was not correct.
  5. Lore Name: Nikolas Rank: Junior Researcher SCP: 173 Question / Idea: Does SCP-173 respond to agitation? Background Research: SCP-173 has never been observed to have any response to human interaction besides killing those not looking at it. Hypothesis: SCP-173 will not kill an individual in a specific order due to them insulting it or remaining neutral. Observations Trial 1: The D-class personnel were lead into SCP-173's holding cell and lined up on the right side wall facing SCP-173. D- ████ was instructed to insult SCP-173. D-████ was instructed to continue staring at the 173. After subject 1 was done insulting the SCP they were both instructed to turn away. After some resistance the D-class obliged under the promise of release due to good behavior. After the turn around SCP-173 was quick to kill subject 1, the one that hurled insults at the SCP. Subject 2 was killed not soon after. Although this could have been by chance it seems as though SCP-173 did kill subject 1 on first on purpose. Trial 2: The process from Trial 1 was repeated. Once again the D-Class that insulted SCP-173 was the first to be killed. Analysis / Conclusion: After running two trials of this test it is safe to infer that SCP-173 is able to understand when it is be insulted. If this is through understanding language or by reading body language is still unknown. Was Your Hypothesis Correct?: No, my hypothesis proved to be false.
