Hello Everyone!!! My name is Roman Gardner, and I joined the great GamingLight Community in December of 2018. I was introduced to this community by my best friend Daniel (you'll hear more about him later, and many know him as DanielSem). My home is Elizabeth ,Pennsylvania; just about 13 miles South of Pittsburgh, the City of Bridges. Elizabeth is a small town composed of smaller areas that are combined to make Elizabeth Township. My High School is Elizabeth Forward High School, to which I attended as a Sophomore. At the age of 14 ( around March 2018 ) I joined Central Volunteer Fire Company of Elizabeth Township; Station 147. I began my career and lifestyle as a Jr. Firefighter, being one of currently eight at my station. Daniel and I became closer friends through our brotherhood in the fire department. Even though Daniel and I were at different companies ( Him being Blythedale 143, which is now merged into ETFD 140) and having our rivalries determines by the number on our helmets, we both still did the same job and loved doing it. At this time I have been a firefighter for a year and a few months and I am proud to say I love the job that I do. Some certifications I hold include Exterior Firefighting, Elevator Rescue, CPR + First Aid, Railroad Emergency Responds, HAZMAT Awareness, and I have two certifications with FEMA's NIMS ( National Incident Management Systems ). Later on in my career with Central I also plan to gain a BVR and SVR ( Basic and Special Vehicle Rescue ) Technician Certifications. In my other free time I also play guitar, play a Right Wing position for the EFHS Varsity Hockey Team, and obviously game and RP with all of you fine folk. I know that there are many other first responders online in this community and if anyone is battling PTSD, Anxiety, Stress, or any other minor or major mental health problem, don't be afraid to contact me. Like Sion said, it would more than likely be a sub department of EMS. If there are no firefighters online, then the fire would eventually go out. Same as EMS, if you die and no EMS is online, you respawn.

Personally I am a firefighter in real life, and I wouldn't mind running it with assistance from others such as Sion

What you want to see? - I would like to a an official Rockford City Fire & Rescue Department Why should we add it? - I know that some people in the GamingLight community are first responders in real life, such as myself. These people work jobs as Doctors, Nurses, Police Officers, Military, and firefighters (both Volunteer and Professional). It would add another option for a government job where you are not on either side of the law (sorta like the EMS). What are the advantages of having this? - It will add more fun and realistic situations to the server. You will have more resons to call 911 if you are a civilian and a wider variety of calls for respond to for EMS and Police. For people who drive over cliffs, admins can rely on the FD for Trench/Water Rescue. For pursuits where the vehicle is destroyed, PD can rely on FD for Vehicle Fire responds, to come put the fires out. This job can add so many more situations to the RP Community including, but not limited to Medical Assists (delayed EMS Responds) , Car Fires, House Fires, Trench/Technical Rescue, Water Rescue, and Motor Vehicle Accidents. My first and only long-term FTO was CPL DanielSem 1B91, who showed me the ropes of this department, what to do, what not to do, and everything in between. As I became a SNR I became known in the community and started to get to know veterans in the GamingLight Community such as MJay, Ghostly, Zage, Nucleus, and many more. I also formed great bonds and friendships with my other officers such as Dredgen, Tonto, ProdCode, and Joe Mama. Being a first responder in real life as a firefighter allowed me to be more comfortable with using 10 codes, talking over the radio, and overall gave me a great place to have fun and relax after shift or even after a long day of either stupid or difficult calls. When I first joined GamingLight my goal was to make new friends and help the RP Community, now my goal is to change the community, and attempt to make it better for those who play on, and a more fun RP experience for all of us. One of my goals is to add a Fire Department, for MVA's (Motor Vehicle Accidents), Car Fires, potentially added a Fire Physic into the game so we can add structure fires, possibly RP fire alarm and natural gas leak situations. I know that these are very far away from happening if happening at all, but it would give PD, EMS, and potentially Fire less stressful, and possibly more fun callouts for the community. I promise to do my part in the RCPD and make this community better. I have always attempted to put this Department at a high standard, and I hope the citizens of Rockford realize that. We are not just the cops, pigs, fuzz, or any other remark they want to call us. We are Rockford Police Officers, which a human behind our badge, and I strive to make people realize that, even if it is just RP. Personally I am a Jr. Firefighter for a department in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and have been in this position for close to a year now. I have experience, with real-life EMS or QRS situations, but I am still in the process of receiving my EMS Certifications. I also have experience with other incidents such as Structure Fires, MVA's(Motor Vehicle Accidents), Vehicle Fires, Wildland Fires, Flooding Incidents, and Technical Rescue Operations. Often times real-life work as a Jr. Firefighter or EMT/Paramedic can be very stressful, and take both a Mental and Physical toll on not only mine, but other First Responder's mind and bodies. As I said previously in my Application, I had recently just started my position as a Jr. Firefighter only a year ago, but I have still seen things to make a good day a bad day, but hopefully if there are other real-life First Responders on this server, I can help with their struggles if needed, and assist in their battles with their demons.
