(Recently back active 3+ weeks now) What timezone are you in?: CST How many Warns do you have?: 3 Why should you be promoted (150 words Minimum): I believe I should be promoted due to the growth, and commitment I've shown to the Police Department. Since my time as SM I have grown in my knowledge on how to lead in the police aspect. This meaning talking and interacting with all the officers in the force. Getting with people to find what they need more help with learning, or what they would like to see change within the force. The Command rank does scare people, so it's good to show that you are still one of them! This increases the RP, and morale in the department knowing that their command is there for them. I also have kept and made sure the quality of training of OFCS to SNR is high quality with ride alongs. I have found that some trainings are amazing, and some done with little effort. As supervisor I have learned how to work with trainers to improve quality, and hold those accountable for the lack of. This time as SM has shown me that not everyone can do the job, and some people do need to re-trained or pushed to achieve their goals! Now even though that is an option I tend to go for a more direct approach asking what they can do better, and how they will achieve that! Another thing that I have worked on is working with the other departments to solve situations. Being able to improve relations and to work with departments can help with working through situations. Even though not all of us are police, we still need coordination to either save a life, or take down a hostile. I think we do need more critical training for all officers on how to work with other departments, and who takes lead on situations. Most situations I see are usually not organized and cause mayhem. I believe this can be achieved with a clear understanding of the rules, and how to work with other departments better. I feel as a Lieutenant I can continue to grow for the department, and my officers. I want to bring more to the table as Police, and show that Police is a good career choice for all! I am a great teacher with showing everyone how to effectively RP as a Police Officer, and like to get back into leading!   4. Hello Gaminglight. First I wanna say how incredibly proud I am to be part of the community. Since December 2020 It has become a great home to talk and play with so many great people. I have had so much fun and laughed and cried and enjoyed my stay at gaminglight. But with all good things, my stay has come to a end for now. I am totally worn out of Garrys Mod after how many years of playing it, and recognize the time to move on. I have loved "most ;)" of you since the beginning and consider you as my personal friends. Through thick and thin you supported me and I supported you. And I will always be here on discord, TS, and steam for you anytime you need it. So yeah, I really hope i can see and hear from you all again. Maybe in the coming years, months, days, who knows! I do know I am personally thankful for all I have received here, and will never forget the memories made. Lastly to my main best friend @pikus you have made me a better man, and will always be your best friend for life<3. Gaminglight, i'll see you all down the road. Because of my belief in seeing all of our Officer grow into the community. For me, being able to train and lead all officers into who they want to be on the server is most important. I understand that not everyone wants to be PD long term or forever, but being able to be that first department to set the prime example on the core values is so important for their career. I teach and show the core values of integrity, community, respect, and honor every day to all officers to show that we all have to do this for the better of the PD. I want all my officers to be exceptional, and that all starts from day one. Training has always been, and will be the most important part of our department. If we put high-quality training into every Cadet that walks in it does not just benefit us, but other departments and the server as a whole. That is why I help and supervise some training, as well as going over training with trainers to make sure we keep it high. I want to push out quality officers over mass officers so that everyone can get a high role-play for us. I also strive for this so other departments can have quality members interact with. As Major, I have stepped up the pressure on trainers to train effectively and correctly and will continue to do so my whole career. I also believe in keeping in contact will all members of Gaminglight including taking reports from Civilians and Sworn staff. But most importantly just talking getting to know my officers. Creating a relationship with the ranks shows you care about, respect, and support them with whatever they need. I know when I was a Young officer I felt disconnected and not as important as the command staff, so I made it my goal to not have anyone feel the same again. With that comes better moral, openness, and respect to not only Cops, but it shows towards the civilians as well! As an Officer I am no more important than an SNR. The SNR just does not have the experience and maturity to take on a commanding spot yet, and that's why it is so important to work with all officers to train them to be one of command someday. Now also as command being able to handle staffing situations makes and breaks you as a Command member. Everyone has their own way of doing things, but I do it differently. Everyone makes mistakes and we are all human, so if someone does something wrong I do not yell or raise my voice. I instead have a conversation asking the why, when, how, and what we are going to do to fix it. This method gets the person to think about their actions and create a way to move forward because I have learned that yelling at them will NOT teach them anything. It will but them on the defensive and not listen, care, and will discourage playing on the server. My method has worked to improve officer behavior, and show that not everything needs to be a demote right away. We all need to care for one another, and as Command I do my very best every day to Reach Higher. Since my arrival, I always try hard to make the Police an amazing department, and as a command, one day at a time I believe I do so. All for which i am very proud for. Firstly being able to effectively communicate with all members of the department at any time. Being able to talk with all Gaminglight members with respect and integrity goes a long way with increasing our positive interactions with them. People like to complain how we are power hungry and just use our badge as a excuse to strong arm them. But being able to correct those who do it, and be a example of what is expected of others. I use my rank to show younger officers on how to become a effective and respected officer. I believe that the best use of my earned status is to be that figure for others to look up to and ask questions with. I have seen first hand that it has made a difference to some who want to make a career in the department. I also still want to press the importance of training. If we have a lack of training, it will show in the OFC's field work which will result in a talking too or demoting. I believe that if we check up more on trainers, and put more time into them that it'll decrease the number of Failed OFC's by at least a third. So I will always keep up with cadet training's, and holding trainers accountable for their training's. I also have been working hard to make a complete role play experience for all players. Working with all officers to work on some IRL police work like fields, and how to conduct a uniform traffic stop. This brings new fresh role play, as well as fun to all involved. Investing in the future of not only our officers, but gaminglight is critical to me. That's why I always look for new ways to have our officers interact with the civilians to create new role play not usually seen. I love this department, it has been a absolute blast, and my commitment to PD is as strong as ever. I am here for the officers, and will have their back always. Thank you!
